IPhone :: App That Will Alert When An App Becomes Free?
Jun 30, 2012
I was going to buy the new The Amazing Spiderman app, but then I saw the price. Does anyone know if there's an app I can download that'll alert me when a certain app goes on sale, or becomes free?
Haveing seen the explosion of threds about the iphone signal problem I cant help notice the amount of people willing to apcept a free bumper! are people out there heads?
Its a flaw at the end of the day and if apple admit to it will people find it that hard to give up there phone and apcept a free bumper? do we get free screws with the next purchase?
Does anyone have a nokia phone from years back with expess on covers? think the its the 3210 i had I lost the back and if you caught the little metal strip antenna with your hand it killed the signal and droped the call!
Is this whats happening here? It seems the more I read the threds this could be happening with the iphone 4!?
I can't seem to change my text alert the tick is next to my new alert when i try to change it but the old alert still sounds when i recieve a text, any ideas?
I recently downlaoded a bunch of ringtones off of the internet, and I also recently added another email account to my tour. I Assigned different alert tones to the 2 email addresses, sms messages, bbm messages, and facebook alerts. I have found that when I get a message, and the assigned alert tone is activated, as soon as that tone turns off anoter different alert is then activated. I cannot figure out why or how to prevent this from happening.
This is only the second time this has happened since I got the phone a few weeks back.I have all of my messages set to different specific ringtones. My SMS to one, my MMS to one, my email to one etc. So tonight I rcvd an email and instead of playing the tone it always plays that it is set for (one of the generic preloaded notifier tones)... it played my SMS tone (which is an actual song tone) to alert me to my email.
And NO I didnt recieve a new SMS at the same time. That folder is empty and the only red star alert was on my email envelope. Like I said this is very, very few and far between but why would this happen??I went over every one of my sound/alert settings and they are all the way they should be set for my liking.
I have bought new iPhone 4s and I am trying to download some free apps on my iPhone but whenever I try To install a free app first it ask for my I'd and password which I enter and then it ask for I'd and password again To pay for a free app But why shall I pay it's free Every time same problem occurs whenever I try to download any free app?
I've bought a SIM-free S2 from Amazon but, upon reading up on the 4.0 software update I've learnt about the 'CSC' code. Apparently Sim-free phone should have XED or something similar.
Getting confused with what works and doesn't ie notifier etc. I've got intelliscreen installed at the moment and it's causing problems with other apps, so just want something to show me I have mail in the task bar without opening the phone.
Has anyone else experienced a lag from the time you receive the email to the time you hear a notification? I have my phone set to Push and Fetch for manual check to help conserve battery, and when I check, I will see the email come in, but no notification sound/vibrate. Even on fetch it does it. And from appx. 5 mins and on I will finally hear the notification ding or vibrate. I called apple care- they walked me through resetting all network settings.. that did not work, I also restore my phone.. and that did not work..
I have a 4S but it sounds to me like it doesn't matter since this problem is happening to everyone and yet no one is helping us out. My text tone has been added into iTunes and syncing shows that it is on my phone but it is no where on my phone to be found!
All of my alert tones have stopped working. My phone rings perfectly but I cannot preview or select any tones or adjust the volume. This seems to be a software issue, I have tried two or rhree complete restores to no avail.
My phone alerts me (a chime if the sound is on, vibration if not) every 4 hours starting at 12:09 am. 4:09 am, 8:09 am, 12:09 pm, so on and so forth. Every day. It's not associated with any alarm (already deleted all alarms and waited for the next X:09 checkpoint, and it still alerts me) or app. I've already tried resetting and restoring, and it still happens.
Is there a way to set a custom text message alert like you can a ringtone? (I'm already 90% sure you can't because I searched and found 2+ year old threads that say no, but I just want to know if there is any possibility of this now.)
As since the answer is likely still no, why do you think Apple still hasn't implemented this, especially since we now have iOS4? My concern is because while I love the default (tri-tone I think it's called), with so many friends and family with iPhones, it starts to get confusing for people (since nearly everyone around me uses this one as the others are meh).
I keep my phone on silent while in class, and I recently received an audible alert during lecture while on silent. The alert tone was not one that I have set or recognize, and I was only able to view "iPhone alert" before frantically turning it off. Does anyone know what causes these embarrassing audible alerts while in silent mode or know of a way to check past alerts?
I just downloaded a nice weather app on my iPhone 4s but this app keeps sending an alert to rate it almost each time I open it.I already rated it once but it keeps alerting me. Can I turn this off in notifications?
My message alert is really long and if someone call while I am on the phone and leaves a message all I hear is the alert and it overrides the person I am talking to.
my iPhone 4S used to notify me by bell alert everytime new email arrived. It used to notify me even when the phone was in stand by mode.It suddenly stopped doing that. Now I am not aware of receiving an email until I go to Mail application.Once in Mail app, it searches and if there is an email in the mail box then it gives me that bell alert and number of new emails appears there. But I have to be in Mail app. I am not aware of changing any settings, notification setting in Settings is still ON.
