IPhone :: After Restoring It Apps Will Not Sync To It?
Mar 16, 2012
after restoring my iphone my apps will not sync to my phone. my apps are in my itunes library, after restoring my iphone my apps will not sync to my phone. my apps are in my itunes library
I've just gotten a new desktop computer and I'd love to have my iPhone synced to it...but I cannot do that without "restoring" settings or erasing my current library to sync to this new library. The problem is I have absolutely nothing on this new computer and I do not wish to delete anything on my phone... what's the best way to go about this without losing any of my notes, photos, contacts, apps etc? I accidentally restored my iphone last year and it was horrible trying to get everything back on it, I just don't really want to do that again! I'm thinking I could possibly back up to iCloud and then erase my current library and start from there, but I'm very paranoid about losing my contacts and my photos! Also I just visited the iCloud website and I couldn't figure out how to access my photos on there.
I ran into a problem recently, I had to restore my iPhone to factory settings and in doing so I lost all my apps. I also got a new computer and don't have my old computer with all my apps on itunes.Basically I don't have my apps on my iPhone or computer. Is there any way I can recover my apps using my itunes account?
I upgraded my iPhone to the newest version (5.1.1) I believe. iTunes backed my Phone up and once everything was completed, I restored it but all my stuff got deleted such as Photo's, Apps, Text Messages. Contacts came back after I logged in to my account.
I just got a replacement iphone and restored it from a backup, however, upon trying to sync it again, the 'sync apps' checkbox is not checked. I can see my apps that are greyed out but as soon as I check the box to sync the apps, they all disappear! I haven't synced it since for fear of having to start over every time.
I would like to have all of my phone apps in one place (home computer), When I switched from laptop to desktop the phone apps in itunes didn't migrate to the new computer. I try to sync the phone to the desktop all of the old apps that are on the laptop are deleted and vice versa.
I just bought the BB Torch 9810 recently and there were some apps already installed on it. Two of the already installed apps were Bejeweled and Telenav. Telenav had to be fully downlaoded, but was a free version. After I connected my phone to Blackberry Desktop Manager, both of these apps disappeared. I was unable to recover either. The Telenav icon was still on the homescreen, but then after downloading it like before, it asked me to buy the app in order to be able to use it. When I first downloaded it, I was able to use it everything on it including the step-by-step voice directions without having to pay for it. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling again to see if that was the problem, but it continued to ask me to buy it in order to use it. How do I recover apps that came already installed on the device when I purchased it?
Using a 3rd party software I accidentally erased some factory-installed apps, like the calculator, flashlight among others. I know there other similar apps in the market....
I updated the firmware of my iPhone 3GS to iOS 5.1 yesterday. After the update, I noticed that I have lost all of my contacts on the phone, so I plugged it back in to the computer and went with "Restore from backup", which was dated just a few hours prior to updating the firmware.
After it finished restoring, my contacts were all back but half of my apps are missing. I tried redownloading from the App Store as well as syncing from the computer, but the data (game saves, etc) are still missing. How do I get them back?
I can't seem to get App Sync 3.1 to sync the apps I've gotten from Cydia. I've tried reinstalling it, deleting it and then downloading a fresh copy of it, but no luck either way. And yes, I DID restart after both scenarios. I'm running 3.13 on a 3GS.
Is it possible to restore missing stock applications? namely filemanager and browser yes I know I can get similiar functioning apps on market but I want the stock ones back if possible
Verizon Samsung S5 with Kit Kat and want to update to the latest Lollipop. The question is about restoring all the apps and data after a factory reset after the upgrade.
1. I have moved a lot of programs to the SD card- do I need to move them back to Device Memory? 2. If I sign in with my Google account after the Factory Reset after the OS upgrade, will all the apps automatically be restored/installed? 3. I have the Google backup set automatically and restore automatically- will the data and settings be restored as the apps are restored once I log into my Google account? 4. What about all my internet email accounts (Comcast, GMail, etc.)- will they automatically be restored for the messages that are on the S5 and automatically connected to the accounts or do I have to reset these up again? 5. The S5 is also my work email, which is an Exchange Server- will the Factory Reset mean that my IT dept. needs to reestablish the connection between the S5 and the Exchange Server or will that happen automatically (if emails are part of the automatic restore?) 6. I have Keis 3 installed on my computer- should I use this as a backup and restore instead of relying on the automatic Google backup and restore?
iphones sync stops when "determining apps to sync" - any clue how to fix this? ipad syncs ok, but my iphone 4s and wife's iphone 4s doesn't get past stage 4 of the sync
I just had to reinstall OS X on my mac and I did a sync of my iPhone. When it tried to sync the apps, it said some apps could not be transferred because I was not authorized to play them. So I went back and authorized my computer to my account. Now the apps are not on the phone or ANYWHERE on my computer. Do I need to buy them again?
I just reinstalled Lion and forgot to backup my iTunes library. Now I want to sync my iPhone 4S apps with my Mac, but since I don't want to lose them all, I want to "Transfer Purchases" from the phone to the computer. When I open iTunes and do that, iTunes just crashes. Bear in mind I compeletely reinstalled Lion, so the Mac is as clean as new. Here's some pics of what I do and where it crashes:
Info: iPhone 4S, iOS 5.0.1, Running on a MBP with Lion
All the apps in iTunes are greyed out, i cannot do anything with them. I have switched to manual sync but still cannot sync.I have the latest version of itunes installed on my imac and the latest version of firmware on my iphone.
The home computer iTunes will not let me sync certain apps bought directly from iTunes with the iPhone. The two ID's (home Apple id and iPhone id) are not identical. The Store 'Authorize' function tells me that the computer is authorized. How do I get all apps to sync across all devices (I also have an iPad).
I performed a 'sync' today on my pc (win7). When it finished I realised that several of my app's have been removed (from both iTunes & phone). My concern is that both App's are 'diary' type apps and as such have 2 months worth of daily transactions put into them - so I do not want to just download the app again from the App store, as the data which i have already put in them is the true value. Please can you offer any advice on what I can do to either:-
a) get my iphone to roll back to this morning (before I sync'd - also I havent done another sync for two weeks so reverting to the last sync will also not help)
b) if there is a way of getting this to kick into gear and add the app's back without losing the data that existed on the iphone (app) before I sync'd it today.
When trying to charge/sync my iPhone to my iTunes account (I'm on a Mac OS X), I keep getting the error message "iTunes cannot sync apps to iPhone b/c apps installed on the iPhone could not be determined." I don't think I've gotten this before and can't figure out what the specific problem is; couldn't seem to locate info on Apple's site.
Basically, when syncing iTunes tells me that 23+ apps cannot not be synced because I have not authorized my computer. I have authorized, deauthorized, and reauthorized multiple times. Nothing. I really have no issue if the apps dont sync, but because of this, I cannot actually use the apps on my phone.
I keep running into a super, super frustrating issue that I can't seem to figure out a fix or workaround for - basically iTunes keeps trying to sync ALL of the apps in my library no matter if I've removed it from the phone or unchecked it from within iTunes. When I start a sync, unchecked apps mysteriously become checked and iTunes then tries to copy everything over again.
I currently have around 600 apps in iTunes but only have around 200 on the phone itself, and manually deleting 400 apps every time iTunes freaks out like this is driving me crazy.
I currently back up the phone to iCloud but some times sync to iTunes to backup locally as well, but I'm assuming this isn't the expected behaviour.
