IPhone :: Can't Seem To Get App Sync 3.1 To Sync Apps / Got From Cydia
Jun 1, 2010I can't seem to get App Sync 3.1 to sync the apps I've gotten from Cydia. I've tried reinstalling it, deleting it and then downloading a fresh copy of it, but no luck either way. And yes, I DID restart after both scenarios. I'm running 3.13 on a 3GS.

Jan 15, 2010Hi guys, I am an ICT Tech having a problem with my bosses new Nokia E72 and syncing it with Microsoft Outlook calendar.
I have installed the Nokia PC Suite and followed all the instructions, helps topics, etc but still when i try to sync with the Outlook calendar i get the following error message:
"PC Sync has encountered a problem and has terminated the synchronisation.
Please check your synchronisation settings and ensure your phone is in the idle state, then restart the synchronisation."
The settings and phone are in the correct state as far as I can see. I am using Windows XP Pro and connecting the phone via USB.
As a last resort I tried uninstalling/Reinstalling Microsoft Outlook and the Nokia PC Suite, with the same outcome. The E72 replaces a Palm which worked great with Outlook; I have uninstalled all the software for the Palm (just noted in case this helps with the replies)
Has anyone found this problem before and does anyone have a solution for this?

Sep 21, 2010My E52 stops synchronising with Exchange after approx 10-14 days. Works perfectly for a while after initial sync, then after said period I just notice that sync of all objects (e-mail, contacts etc.) stops. No warnings, no error messages. All settings seem intact.
Only thing that works is a factory reset and setting everything up from scratch again.

Apr 7, 2012I just got a replacement iphone and restored it from a backup, however, upon trying to sync it again, the 'sync apps' checkbox is not checked. I can see my apps that are greyed out but as soon as I check the box to sync the apps, they all disappear! I haven't synced it since for fear of having to start over every time.

Itunes reads my device loads Step 1 and 2 but for some reasons it stops loading at Step 3 "preparing to sync" the bar doesnt freeze it just keeps going endlessly and doesnt continue on to Step 4, 5, or 6.

Apr 27, 2010I just had to reinstall OS X on my mac and I did a sync of my iPhone. When it tried to sync the apps, it said some apps could not be transferred because I was not authorized to play them. So I went back and authorized my computer to my account. Now the apps are not on the phone or ANYWHERE on my computer. Do I need to buy them again?

Mar 15, 2012I performed a 'sync' today on my pc (win7). When it finished I realised that several of my app's have been removed (from both iTunes & phone).My concern is that both App's are 'diary' type apps and as such have 2 months worth of daily transactions put into them - so I do not want to just download the app again from the App store, as the data which i have already put in them is the true value. Please can you offer any advice on what I can do to either:-
a) get my iphone to roll back to this morning (before I sync'd - also I havent done another sync for two weeks so reverting to the last sync will also not help)
b) if there is a way of getting this to kick into gear and add the app's back without losing the data that existed on the iphone (app) before I sync'd it today.

Apr 23, 2012I keep running into a super, super frustrating issue that I can't seem to figure out a fix or workaround for - basically iTunes keeps trying to sync ALL of the apps in my library no matter if I've removed it from the phone or unchecked it from within iTunes. When I start a sync, unchecked apps mysteriously become checked and iTunes then tries to copy everything over again.
I currently have around 600 apps in iTunes but only have around 200 on the phone itself, and manually deleting 400 apps every time iTunes freaks out like this is driving me crazy.
I currently back up the phone to iCloud but some times sync to iTunes to backup locally as well, but I'm assuming this isn't the expected behaviour.

May 20, 2012I was using my iPhone4S on iOS 5.1.1 and sycing with my Windows Seven PC. I recently formatted my PC and had to reinstall iTunes and now I want to download apps to my PC and transfer them to my phone, I figured that I cannot do that as I have to click the 'Sync Apps' on my iTunes to do this. I transferred all the apps on my phone to my PC and when I tick the 'Sync Apps' checkbox it says that all the apps and data associated with them will be replaced.
How can I transfer the apps from iTunes to my iPhone ? I have enabled iCloud backup. If I sync apps like this will I LOSE my app data ? I don't want to lose the save files of my games.
