Oct 25, 2010I made the mistake of letting Facebook touch my phone, and now Facebook thinks it owns the damn thing.
No matter how many times I set the contact pictures on my contacts to the pictures I want (and in the list of linked contacts, it shows the correct pictures), the contact's main picture is their Facebook profile picture, and if they don't have one, then it's the generic Facebook blue head.

Dec 23, 2011Recently I have noticed that my facebook contact pictures o my phone (ray) has not been updating. Thought it was my phone so I have removed facebook and facebook inside xperia from accounts and sync and even clear the data from facebook in appications.
Readding the accounts, facebook is syncing up but I do not get any pictures, the photos/interest info is there when you view my contact but the picture is not there.
Is anyone having the same issue, there a bug in the recent update?

Aug 20, 2015I just switched to the HTC One M9 and am using GoSMS Pro for my messaging. In my Phonebook Contacts, all of my linked FB contacts have their current profile pic showing up but in the GoSMS Pro app, they just show up as default blue avatar. I can manually save each profile pic and assign it to a contact, but I don't want to have to do that for all of my FB friends!

May 23, 2011I got my Droid X back in December and the Facebook pictures for each contact haven't updated once since I got the phone. I've tried telling it to sync, but the pictures remain the same. Also, with some of my contacts it lists their Twitter name as their name, even if I type in a new name. Is there some way to set a default name? When I'm searching for someone to call/text, I don't normally think of them by their Twitter name, so it can make some people difficult to find. Other people come up by the names I set them to. Not sure what I did differently there.

Aug 29, 2014I was using FB fine until this morning when it logged me out for no reason, no cannot log back in i get a constant 'Timed out no internet connection' message despite the fact i do have internet and wifi connection and all other apps/safari working fine.
have done full reset twice, deleted and re-installed facebook both from the home screen and removed my account and the app via the settings screen. Im still on IOS 6 as my phone is only 8gb so could never update to IOS 7 as the memory required was nearly half the memory of my phone! no updates available for my version of fb obviously but never had any issues until today. Weirdly despite the fact i am not even logged in and have no account connected in teh settings options as it wont let me, it still is showing notifications popping up for FB

May 9, 2010I was uploading pictures to facebook using the facebook app, and my photos froze, so I didn't know how to cancel them so I turned off my phone. After that I turned it back on and went to upload the pictures again and I seen Iron Man 2 pictures there, so I went to my galley to check it out and they were there. Five pictures I think, I can't remember I deleted them, they were pretty small. Anyone else have this or an idea of what happened? They weren't on there before I turned my phone off?

Jul 4, 2010In the past, before iOS4, I was able to assign hi - res picture to my contacts.When someone called, the large picture would show up,not the little pic in the top right corner of the screen.Yes,I am using the Google sync/exchange.But I also know that assigning a picture to a contact on the iPhone will use that picture and it will be hi - res.Now,after iOS4,its 50 - 50.I've assigned a picture to my wife. And the picture is hi - res.When she calls I get the large picture.But assigning a picture to my son, its resized so when he calls I only get the small picture and is a low - res version of what I assigned.I haven't changed any settings in Google either.So what might make some pictures show up correctly, and others not?Any ideas or anyone else experiencing this as well?

Apr 5, 2012basically i have owned all other iphones 3gs/4/ ect but only now am i having this problem, i have a full 3g signal (all other sites work fine) i go to upload a picture from my camera roll to facebook and the bar flys upto about 95% then freezes and says cannot upload, ive seen another fix for this on older forums saying switch location services on but this does not work for me... im using the 4s with firmware 5.1 and the latest version of facebook.. Dec 3, 2014Recently, my iPhone 5 had very little storage left. After deleting many apps I was able to free up enough space to update it from iOS 8.1 to 8.1.1. After that, I had very little storage again. Because of this, my phone started to act up, like apps not opening and text messages not being received. With this, the pictures to all of my contacts disappeared. I was wondering if there was any way to get them back without restoring to another backup?

May 13, 2010I got a replacement iPhone due to battery issues a couple weeks ago and ever since then my contacts pictures only come up very small in the top right corner of my screen if I receive a call. On my last phone, the contact picture took up the whole screen.I did some research and it seems that this is caused from syncing your contacts and their pictures onto your phone instead of adding them from your phone manually. I assume that I synced them with my Gmail and them Gmail put them back onto my new phone and this is what messed them up.Anybody know how I can remove all my contacts pictures and then re-sync them with Facebook? Or any other type of workaround?

May 10, 2012My phone is a Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo V, and today I noticed that I had many photos in my gallery, that were not me who put that thing there. So, I find out that my Xperia Facebook has synchronized all the photos like my profile pictures, wall photos, cover photos and all the new photos that friends put on facebook. So, I went to settings and disable the automatic synchronization, and then went to Apps -> Manage apps -> and found facebook, then I clicked on Erase data (I don't know if is this the name of the menu in english, because I'm using in portuguese) and it prompts me telling that this action were going to erase all the files that were with facebook in my Xperia. But even after that, the photos remain in my SD card, it didn't erase. I really want to delete it, but it's impossible trying to select all the albums because it don't have the Delete option.
