IPhone :: Unknown Error 3194, Secure Link To Itunes Store Failed?
Mar 25, 2012i have tried EVERYTHING to fix this problem. i downloaded tiny umbrella, i added permissions in the firewall,i installed the latest itunes, i added and removed lines from my hosts file, and it still just gives me unknown error 3194 when updating my phone and secure link to itunes store failed when running diagnostics. i have two rules in my firewall at this point and i'm pretty sure apple could steal just about anything off of my computer by now with all the access ive given it. i run as administrator, no cigar. same problem. i've re-started my computer al of 12 times now and still not working. here's what the diagnostics is giving me:

it says itunes is not enabled on fire wall but i beg to differ. like i mentioned earlier: two rules have been created to allow it.it says "network connection timed out" then says "Last successful iTunes Store access was 2012-03-25 11:56:05." thats only a minute before the diagnostics test. dunno if that means anything to you guys, but to me it means itunes has fallen off the rocker.

Feb 19, 2010My wife accidently going through her contacts went to the very top where there's a drop down menu for Phone or Contacts. It went to Contacts. Now whenever she goes to her contacts a message pops up saying Sign In or Sign Up to OVI. She's been on the phone now with Nokia for 2 hours trying to resolve.Anyone out there have any ideas?
And by the way, are other brands of phones this bad, what with setting up loops like this can't be broken. Or, like what I've read here and elsewhere, all the problems with the Lock Code? I mean, it seems Nokia needs to go back to the drawing board and work on their user interface.

Apr 13, 2012after dropping my Iphone 4 on the floor it can't connect to my PC, the error i am getting in Itunes is "Itunes was not able to establish connection to this iphone, caused by unknown error 0xE8000001". Itunes suggest to go into an applestore and get it solved but since third party has replaced the screen will apple not touch it....I have tred to uninstall itunes after closing down a few apple files via "task manager" and hard restored the Iphone but the phone will not acctivate, only get to the screen saying "connect to itunes". when i plug in a fully functional USB cable in a fully functional USB plug in my PC (windows 7, 64bit) does the phone connect and disconnect with the PC a few times, sometimes it keep on connecting/disconnecting but when the phone able to establish connection do i get a box saying "error 0xE8000001" and when clicking on the phone can i see its charging the battery but no possibilities to make a firmware restore or anything els. (have only the option to "eject" the iphone). is it possible to go one more step back than "hard restore" so the phone need to reinstall all hardware ect ect?

Jan 9, 2011I received two download links from the Nokia website upon request. Clicking on the link gets me to the download site and it asks me to sign in or register if I don't have a Nokia account. Whoever designed this was either on drugs or intoxicated, because without a nokia account they don't send you a download link in the first place. Since I do post this message here, I obviously did register and have an account. The problem is, my username and Password is not being recognized and it sends me into a never ending loop, with other words I am unable to sign in and download the application.i am at my wits ends and I am fuming at Nokia for giving me such a hard time to download a simple mobile app. My phone model is the E71x and both apps I received the link for are supposed to be compatible with this model.

I'm trying to update to 4.0 with jailbreak using a custom cooked ipsw file with Snowbreeze 1.6.1 and keep getting error "The iPhone could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (2)."
I've tried both DFU mode AND Recovery mode. I also remembered to remove Saurik's server ip in the hosts file. I've tried uninstalling / reinstalling iTunes and rebooting. I even removed WiFi Sync software thinking that might have affected it somehow. I've uninstalled my vs/firewall software. NOTHING seems to work.
