When using my iPhone 4s front camera, the screen sometimes become black or have blue stripes on it! Is this a hardware or software problem? Can this issue be covered by my warranty? I bought it inmid-december last year, and this problem came at around Late January. It's a rare case, only came about 5 times, but this really concerns me. What's wrong with it?

View 4 Replies View RelatedMy 1020's FFC has been working fine until yesterday when I tried to use the FFC and it just showed a black screen and you couldn't press any buttons on the screen, I just had to go back to the home screen to do anything else. The regular camera is working fine. Proximity sensor seems to working fine as well. I have done a soft reset with no luck, about to do a hard reset... It's not a huge deal but I do like my phone to be working at 100%!

It's my boyfriend's iPhone & we've dropped it plenty of times in the past going on 6 months now, so you can imagine it has plenty of cracks & the back had come off to where we taped it back on. Recently - a few days to a week ago I dropped it & it seemed fine until I tried taking a picture of our cats and the camera opened to a black screen. Everything else works fine except the speaker when we call out we have to put it on speaker for someone to hear us - already tried cleaning out all the ports. I don't want him to go to the iPhone store and have them complain about all the issues wrong with the phone and go extreme bill on him either. Yes I have tried restarting his phone, I just don't want to completely reboot it when it's under his mom's account & her iCloud. & The front facing camera works.

I'm having issues with my iPhone 4s.Â
I work in retail and this morning I knocked my phone over a security tag remover (takes off security tags on clothing) and my phone turned off, it since hasn't turned back on. It got very hot after this incident. So I removed it from the case and it cooled down it still wouldn't turn on.Â
I have since googled what to do as the screen is completely black after being advised to charge my phone from not a computer but a wall, for 15mins -1hr (did 1hr) I tried to turn phone on -- nothing.Â
Next I was advised to try the reset buttons - nothing....

Ok, so my phone is doing this thing where when the screen is on it will turn off when I pass my hand over the front camera and will then turn back on when I move my hand away. It does this intermittently and when I power the phone off and then on again it goes away only to return anywhere from a come days to a couple weeks later. I'm running stock on an AT&T G3.
