Aug 1, 2014My HTC One recorded several videos but cannot play them. On my camera roll in gallery, you see the videos but they appear grey and have the play symbol in the center. The other videos in gallery you can see a picture from the video with the play symbol in the center while you are in gallery. I tried emailing the video, and posting the video to google+ but all that is sent is the picture of a play symbol with a line through it.
When I clicked on 'details' for the not working videos what came up is; 'file path' 'Date' 'size' 'type' and 'status' only for 'type' was there no information, it is just blank underneath.
So it does not seem to recognize the video as video/mp4.

Nov 19, 2015When I record or download a video. It won't play, I use the stock video player on the s5. I have to keep pressing play to get it to play and to get 1 second into a video I have to tap play about 8 or 9 times therefor cannot watch the video.

Dec 3, 2011My brother just got hold of a C6-00 that previously belong to his wife. The phone has been working fine and have all updates installed. It's not modified in any way and only uses official upgrades. But, after the latest update (SW 40.2.021, custom version 40.2.021.259.01 - 06-06-2011 - Brazil), something went wrong. This update was installed OTA on November 1st and since then, two strange problems started to happen:
1. When using the camera in video mode, the "Exit" and "Options" touch commands disappear from the screen. But, when using photo mode, those appear and I can change all camera settings. Right now, in video mode, the phone is locked to "Widescreen High Quality".
2. Inside the gallery, when we try to play recorded videos, we are always greeted with the following message: "Unable to play either sound or video clip. Trying to play partially." This happens with every video recorded by this very phone, in all quality settings (3GP, MP4 Wide and MP4 4:3).

Oct 19, 2010I have a BB curve 8520 and recently recorded a video on it but as I was recording it my battery died. Now when I look on the video folder I can find the video there but with this extension 3gp.lock and another one with the same name but with 3gp.lock3
if it is possible to unlock those videos and how to do it?
IPhone :: Phone Makes Two Strange Sounds
Jul 15, 2010OK, looked at every app , every notification, every sound on the device and cannot find this. My phone makes two strange sounds. Sometimes once a day, sometimes twice in 5 minutes. No rhyme or reason. And after the sound, I check everything from messages, to voicemail, to app updates, to Ebay to - you name it, and nothing new.One sound sounds like :di-di di dih-goosz goosz goosz with the "goosz's" getting lower in volume and sounding gritty.
The other sound is similar, but different.Any ideas at all? I know if I go to the Apple store it will never happen when I am there.

Jun 17, 2012First of all iPhone is within 1 year warranty, so when I had this problem before I took it to the apple store and they replaced it as they deamed the rattling noise to be unfixable at that time. My new one has started doing the same HOWEVER this time it has slight scratches around the base of the phone. A 1mm chip on the back... they don't bother me; it's not what I'm getting it replaced again for, it's just the rattling noise when tapped, moved or on vibrate makes my model feel really cheap.

When I have my phone plugged into an audio jack cable and play music through an amplifier everything is fine until the music stops
playing; either because the album is over or the playlist is over and then I get a thumping electronic noise. It comes in spaces like dut dut dut dut dut dut.
It happens a few seconds after the phone has been inactive and the phone has gone standby, it stops when I unlock the screen or just activate the phone. Then If I wait until the phone goes inactive again I get the same noise.

Jan 11, 2012whenever i try to take a picture with my phone it makes this annoying clicking sound, like a really old computer trying to do somthing? i dont know how to explain it... its very quiet and clicks whenever i try to take a picture, its not just once in a while. when i put my ear up close to the phone i can tell the sound is not coming from my speaker, it is coming from the camera, i had just gotten this phone new after blackberry was unable to fix my other one, and i had a loner phone for almost 3 months, and i dont want to take it in to my carrier again as i had just gotten the phone back and dont want another loner... the pictures it takes are acceptable, not the best...

Dec 14, 2015My Lumia 950 has started making a little hiss and 'pop' noise every six seconds when I'm not using it. I first noticed it last night, because the phone was on a bedside table in a quiet room. Rebooting the phone fixed it at the time, but today I noticed that it was making the noise again. Every six seconds it sounds as if I had gently tapped the plastic body of the Lumia with a fingernail. It's clearly audible in a quiet room when the phone is in my pocket.If I raise the Lumia 950 and put the rear speaker to my ear, I hear about a second of white-noise static followed by a "pop" noise. Hiss-pop. When the phone is unlocked and in use, the speaker makes a contiuous low static hiss. It only hiss-pops when the screen is in standby. Volume levels and disabling glance seem to have no effect. Putting it into airplane mode also has no impact, so I guess it's not likely to be interference from the radios?

Mar 6, 2012I have my S2 for some days now. and suddenly my speaker acts weird. Every time sound is played (keyboard, calls, music, ....) the speaker acts weird don't know how to describe it:
1) It makes the right sound so thats Ok.
2) While playing the sound, the speaker clicks on (you can hear a click).
3) Then it makes a noise (you can compare it when you put your speaker from your PC really loud but ain't playing music or something).
4) After that it makes the click again.

Mar 20, 2014Issues with the recorded video not being saved? Seems like a bug / glitch somewhere that's preventing the video from being saved. The recording phase looks fine, but afterwards, the video cannot be found anywhere.
This is done using the Nokia Camera (4.5.1.7) with the latest firmware ( 3051.40000.1345.1006) and dev OS version (8.0.1521.155). A restart seems to fix the problem for a period of time, but it's not really a good work around / solution,

Sep 8, 2014The videos recorded by the cell phone doesn't run properly when transfered to the PC. I get black image and no sound, but the progression bar of the player shows that the video is running. It's not an issue in the codecs in my computer since I run any video file in it with no problems, including MP4 which is the same video file used by the phonI already installed all the updates available for it.

I thought it was just an error with that specific recording but I just recorded another one and there is no sound whatsoever. Instead it's all just very loud static noise. I've only had this phone since around early December.

May 17, 2015So I just got a new SD card for my Galaxy S5. SanDisk 32GB micro. It's set up on my phone to save my pictures and videos I take to the card. It works great so far, shot lots of pictures and video over the weekend and they view and play back flawlessly on my phone.
When I got home however I uploaded the files to my computer, but the videos only play sound. The videos file type still shows mp4. The pictures are fine.
When I view previously recorded videos on my PC from my phone from BEFORE I got the SD card, they view normally with full audio/visual playback.
I'm using Windows Media Player.
Ergo it's obviously something with the new card. Codec perhaps?
