A couple months ago I've noticed slow WiFi download speeds which makes it impossible to watch YouTube in hd. Laptop's speeds are fine so I don't think its the router (both 2.4ghz).
Having issue on my D6633 since KitKat, now updated to LP 5.0.2 23.1.1.E.0.1 and still same. When I go in 5 meters from router behind 2 walls and signal strength decrease a bit download speed drops almost to Zero, but upload speed is ok.
Check below video, I have 46080 / 3072 kbps for download /upload... Tried all possible settings combinations without success. Stamina mode never used.. Â [URL] ...
When near router 2-3 m without any obstacles download speed is ok. Any other my phone (Samsunf S3 for ex.) have no such issue in same location...
My upload was faster when touching the seam, but my download was drastically reduced. This is concrete proof that it is not just a software issue of inaccurate bars, and that the problem can still be happening when the phone shows full bars.
The wireless internet speeds on my 32GB iPhone 3GS are painfully slow.I have an Airport Extreme router and my MacBook Pro and iPad are both great. Here are averages from 10x Speedtest.net (or their app) runs:
When I ran the speed tests, each device was the only one operating on the wireless network at the time. I also tried 2 other speedtest apps on my iPhone and they produced similar results.Do you think Apple will replace my iPhone, or will they just tell me it's operating normally and to deal with it?
I plug in my phone every night and it is connected to WiFi. Sometimes it backs up in the middle of the night but more often it seems to back up in the morning when I "wake" it up while leaving it plugged in. When I get up in the am I, leaving it plugged in, check for messages, news etc.Later in the day when I check when the last time it did an iCloud backup - it seems to be after I did that early morning check but before I unplug it for the day - usually 10 minutes in between. It also seems to not want to do a backup in less than 24 hours - which I can understand. So - on Sundays it may back up at 7:00 am, for instance, but then doesn't back up on Monday am since I'm up and out of the house before 7. Some days it does back up in the middle of the night but I can't figure out why. I can always do the "backup now" option but just wondering if anyone knows how it schedules and is there a way to influence that?
My download speed on my 8520 curve has dropped dramatically over the past few weeks and has gotten to the point where I'm getting in the region of 1 to 2 kb/s and therefore all downloads are failing.
I've been experiencing slow download speeds (from over 100Kb/s to 6Kb/s) I've cleared cache, and upgraded my OS, from OS 5 to OS 6. I've also called customer care and went to a local vodashop, which is when I was told to upgrade.
I got my 9650 almost a week ago from Verizon and I love it. One of the only problems I have with is downloading ANYTHING: Whenever I download apps at the Blackberry App World, the download stalls (shows the loading icon) every 100kbs downloaded. I just want to know if this is something unavoidable or if there's a way this can be fixed so I can download with no pauses.
My wife and I both have Storm2s which we are obviously running on Verizon Wireless. We have the same official operating system (.713) and each have some apps. I tend to have more apps so she actually has a little bit more memory.
Lately she's been complaining that her phone has been running really slow loading up websites. I did a little side-by-side test with our blackberries.
I did the same search on the google mobile app (for Adam Sandler) and clicked on the wikipedia link at the exact same time. Mine launched the browser, loaded the wiki page and was completely done before her browser even stopped showing the word "blackberry".
She also consistently has a lower quality signal (by using the Quick Launch "Device Info" option I can easily see signal strength on both of our phones). So, my question is, what is causing her blackberry to have a lower quality signal than mine when we are in the same exact location, on the same network, running the same O.S., etc.?
download on messages with pictures, i.e. 30kb in content, are extremely slow, takes over an hour, getting MMS configuration messages when attempting to send pictures. how to modify or re-set MMS speed or linkage?
Per the wifispeedtest, I have a signal strength of between 74 and 86%. Per a signal strength meter on my phone I have a signal of about -84 which to me is not that bad. I have a wilson signal booster in my house. It is approximately 30 feet from my computer and the phone itself is right there with the booster. I seem to get better service with it there. However, connection is slow and sometimes just goes away. I get 4g in and out where I live but it is spotty.Seems to me with such a signal, I should have better connection. Should I?
I have a Blackberry 9300 which normally downloads at ~120kb/s, but during the last two weeks it doesn't want to go faster that 5kb/s. I've already tried the battery pull, I am in a 3G capable zone and all my bars are full.
I'm optimizing my home network to get a better WIFI speed because i'm trying to use my Z3 with my PS4 and i've seen that the most of the portable devices stuck on 65MBPS. I've tested this:  - Xperia XS: 65mpbs - Xperia S: 65mbps - Xperia Z3: 65mbps - Samsung Galaxy Ace 2: 65mbps - Sony Tablet S: 65mbps - Dogee: 135Mbps - Dell Alienware PC: 270mbps - Compaq PC: 135mbps  I see that some devices can reach up to 135Mbps and faster then i think that is not a wifi problem. The cheaper phone of my home (dogee) get a better wifi speed. Are the Xperia Phones limited to 65mbps by hardware or similar?
I was a lifetime VZW customer and switched to AT&T in January for the 9700. When I looked at a 9800 two days ago, they told me that they would give me an early upgrade if I wanted one. ( Contract price + $75 ) What exactly determines if you get an early upgrade and how often?
I found this new app really interesting.(I wonder if they have an iPhone version.)The app "Carrier Coverage" was reviewed by Phandroid. It basically tracks and rates the coverage of different carriers. It's in beta now, and it looks like there is only 1 other person in Cincinnati, but this app has some great potential to eliminate dead spots and help people choose their next carrier. url...
As per my other thread: What happened to my 8900 camera quality? upgraded from OS 4.6 to 5.0.0.681 i've discovered what the problem is with why I am not getting the same quality photos as on the OS 4.6 on my 8900 curve, it's the picture size in kb. on 4.6 i would at the very least always get photos of size 460kb minimum (usually i get 700kb +) whereas on 5.0.0.681 now i get on average only 180kb WHY? bear in mind i've kept all the settings on the highest possible i.e. superfine and picture on 'large' yet for some reason i'm only getting low quality pics.. it's very frustrating.I have a feeling the lighting makes a difference but also maybe the memory/space on the media card. BUT I have 120mb of memory left and 400mb of space on my media card. What makes the blackberry take pictures at lower quality in terms of size in kb and larger?so far i've managed to get 1 photo at 460kb on OS 5.0.0.681 but i dont know how or why exactly but at least i know it's capable of getting pics that large. Do I need over 500mb of media card space for it to take larger size pics?
When I first registered my account I was in Malaysia, hence the store is set to Malaysian one. But, currently I'm no longer living there but It still detects Malaysia as my country. For a while, even Google Now thought I was a tourist when I came back to my home country but after reformatting I can no longer use Google Now since, it's not available in here. However, the store is still set to Malaysian Playstore. I do not wish to change this because my country playstore is really boring and dull. Almost every single popular app is not available, including stuffs like Viber and Clash of Clans which are widely used apps here. So, I was wondering if change my phone number and credit card info from account setting to my current one, would it change my playstore too?
Noticed very slow WiFi post the 5.1 update? I have done several speed tests and am getting under 1 mbps. My laptop and desktop both on the same wireless connection are pulling over 8 mbps.
I have an MPow dual USB car charger capable of providing 2.1 amps over both USB ports. It is also able to detect if you are using an iPhone or Android and adjust accordingly. It worked great with my G2. It could fast charge my wife's G2 and my G2 at the same time. However, on my Nexus 5 I just got, it is only charging at USB speed.
On my PC and Galaxy Tab 10.1, when connected to my home router, I get about 1.5 mbps for my download speed. On the HTC I get less than 500 kbps. Anyone any ideas on how I can improve the download speed on the Desire, or is this the speed which it is supposed to operate at?
I have the apple iPhone 4. I recently downloaded the iOS 5 and It says I have hotspot but for some reason it wont work. Even if I directly plug it from my phone to computer. How do I fix it?
My iPhone won't update or download apps it won't recognize apps that need to be updated and won't download new or old apps and it won't ask for my iTunes password when purchasing a new app. also I'm having trouble with downloading music i have signed in and out of my iTunes account to reconnect and try going to the app itself in the app store for the updates but only show the open button.
I am trying to update an app, but its asking to connect to a wifi or downlown it in itunes. There are several apps that need updating, I can't do either or, or maybe I just don't know how to do it.It's saying that the app is over 50MB. But it's not telling me which app
i've been struggling with my new blackberry curve ATT 8520 v5.0.0.822 (bundle 1385, platform 5.2.0.76)it is killing my user experience and i am about to give up and not go to blackberries ever again.
1) battery dies every 4 hrs. there is a ticking clock showing which makes it hard to navigate through the menus. what i've done: logged out of all apps in the swtich programs menu (except for standard short-cuts, like browser, phone, messages, home). swtiched to mobile only (vs mobile, wifi preferred), my wifi is always off. one of the problems is it often searches for the network while network is actually available on, say, an att phone sitting next to me. so no wifi, no apps running in the background, all settings reset to low battery use as detailed out in some forums. what to do?
2) i can't access wifi. i dont have a data plan. i turn on wifi, it shows the correct network and that that network is on.when i try to turn on AT&T browser, i get "you are not currently in an area that can handly data communication". what i've done: cleaned out all settings in enterprise activation tried registeringhost routing table, but it showes the following message "registration messaged queued. it will be sent once data coverage is available". yet the wifi network is on!is there something wrong with the browser or the setup? do i have to download another wifi broswer, not At&t, or is it the question of settings? if so, which ones?
When my phone is connected to WiFi I get at best .8 mps on a speed test and around 12 when connected to 4g. Every other device on the same router is working fine.
I'm trying to download assassin's creed pirates from Google play but it either says error 905, or doesn't download, i mean it stays at 0.00 mb.
I've noticed that when i use mobile data connection instead of wifi, it downloads just fine. The problem is, I can't download 1gb with mobile data because it's too expensive.
I've tried uninstalling google play store updates, cache, data, force stopping it, rebooting my phone, nothing worked. Some people told me to turn off download booster, i did but nothing happened.
