IPhone :: Vodafone Doesn't Have My IMEI In Their Database
Jun 9, 2012
I tried to unlock my iphone 4 on the Vodafone's website. But if I follow the instructions it tells me that my IMEI is not in their database and they will contact me in 10 business days. I'm going overseas in 10 days and I wanted to make sure my phone was unlocked by then so I'm trying to understand what is going on before it's too late.My boyfriend and I got an iphone each with Vodafone, he just tried to follow the instructions and all went well for him. The only difference I can think about is that a few months ago my iphone was exchanged for a new one at the genius bar because they couldn't fix the problem I was having. Could that be the reason why Vodafone can't find my IMEI? Is my phone actually locked if it's not the same one anymore? Will Vodafone be able to fix the problem or do I need to do it through Apple?
Some sort of database with SBSettings icons? Ive been using "Modern Simple" I think it is only because if an icon hasn't been made, it just solid red or green and still looks good. However, with a theme like this So, does anyone know where I can find a bunch of SBSettings icons for themes?
That's the only very minor niggle making me think twice about moving back to Vodafone from O2. Voda's coverage is much, much better than O2's where I live/work.
I've been in EU for almost a year with an Jailbroken and unlocked iPhone.I've been using Vodafone since I got here and things have been great. Yesterday, I asked my brother in law if I could use his T-Mobile SIM card just to see how it would work because a friend from back in the U.S.sent me a pre-paid T Mobile SIM for when I got back.
Ever since then, even with my or my wife's Vodafone SIM card in the iPhone, it is attached to the T-Mobile network regardless if I choose Vodafone manually in the carrier settings. I thought at first it was still Vodafone but just reading it as T Mobile, but I no longer get 3G service and only get that stupid little ˚ icon. It's likely not a HUGE deal since I'm going back to the U.S. on Tuesday, but I would just like to know that my phone isn't totally messed up.
I say that only because my iPhone is steadily becoming crap. The wifi stopped working about 2 months ago out of the blue, as if the hardware didn't exist and now this. For the record, this is an 3G iPhone (not 3GS) running iOS 3.0 If I restore the phone back to factory settings, I lose my JB and unlock, correct ?
how do i get a new iPhone 3gs on vodafone network unlocked by apple? I bought from a friend who got them from an office manager who has updated all the phones to 4s's.
I have tested Magellan and Tom-tom but always Garmin is my personal favorite. I have Garmin Ique 3600, Nuvi (350, 200, 780) and XT, which is also on N85. So now I am testing Nokia Maps.First of all, do we call Nokia maps or Ovi maps? Second I tried to search Staples, Office depot, Home depot and found NONE, and when searched Macy'S found many (all searches off-line). So is Nokia maps designed for Women. On the other hand Garmin XT bit slower search but found all.So my question is can we download PIO databases, not one or two PIO but tons of them from somewhere. Also is there a way so that Guidance will say 200 FEET instead of 365 YARDS.
After downloading viber application , I was asked to enter my phone number with the country code, when I enter my phone number and pressed continue, I get this error "check setting >notification" I checked it and it is on,how to get my viber code ?
I can't send SMS with my Verizon iPhone 4s. I'm in Amsterdam, using a Vodafone NL SIM card. Can send/receive phone calls, receive texts, and use data; just can't send texts! I've checked and reset the message center number by "calling": **5005*7672*+316540881000# on my phone. When I type in *#5005*7672# it gives me the +316540881000 phone number. But, I still can't send texts.
I was given a brand new Tour 9630 (sprint device) from a friend at R.I.M.When I tried to swap over from nextel, I currently have the 8350i, They told me that the IMEI# or the ESN #? was not in their database and the phone could not be provisioned. I was told that someone from sprint, like an engineer would half to put this in for me to get it up and running. Its a new device made for sprint, however its directly from Blackberry to me. I complained to Sprint that I was ending my account after the hours of passing me around to someone else. Then and only then they pulled a ticket for me and said they are addressing this issue
Since short I have this new S6.I love the fingerprint authentication option.Every now and then though I get this message that an error has occurred in the fingerprint database. After this no fingerprints are recognized anymore and I'm forced to log in with the Backup password. After a reboot the issue seems gone, but then it returns after a while (period between seems to vary). I have four fingers entered in the database, that normally all four work correct.
I am running Maps 3.03 on an E71. While this version provides free turn-by-turn navigation, which is great, I find that providing the destination address is much less convenient than it was in the previous, non-free version. Before, you'd enter a city from a menu and having done that, you got a menu of valid streets within that city and so on. Now you just get a single text-input box into which you have to type the address (and deal with the system's invariably wrong attempts to complete things).
This step backward provides an additional incentive to want to be able to choose the destination address by indicating an entry in your contacts database. Navigate me to THIS restaurant, or the home address of THIS person, etc. There appears to be no way to do this, unless I'm missing something. And, inexplicably, there also appears to be no way to copy-paste an address from the contacts app to the Maps app. I've attempted to check the documentation, which in Nokia E71 tradition, is useless.
If I'm missing something here, I'd appreciate being enlightened by someone. If I'm right about this, this is another example of why Nokia's market share in the US is miniscule and why their share worldwide is dropping. Smartphones cram a lot of capability into a very small package, which places a huge premium on user-interface design. This is a major factor, perhaps THE major factor, in the iPhone's success, despite the fact that it's not so great for making calls (unlike Nokia phones, which excel in that department).
my blackberry Torch 9800 has been perfectly synchronising since I bought it 18 months ago. Suddenly, with no reason, it now refuses to synchronise with my PC. the first registering pops up an error message saying that "an error has occured during an access attemp to a recording of the terminal data base". I can't get any fiurther..
I got a problem before using Backup/Restore... I notice that everytime I restore my contact, the "STARRED IN ANDROID" check box accumulates (see pix below).. Those unchecked box represents the number of times I restore my contact. After further investigation, I tried to restore different backup data and found out that the number or "STARRED IN ANDROID" represents the number I backed up my data.
I am getting this message "Can't Open database Unable to open phone database try reload phone base" every time I try to make a call. I tried the reboot, reinstalling the update of 2.1 android but no luck. I t only started coming after I applied the 2.1 android OS update.
Just because I want to, I'd like to be able to download the entire Ovi maps database - every detail of every corner of the Earth, not just all the cities/countries available in Nokia Software Updater, which I've already gotten. I figure that if all the roadways of every country in the world only occupy about 7-8GB on my 32GB drive, adding the terrain of the remaining unpaved/uninhabited regions of the world shouldn't add that much more.Or, at least less than I have available room on my drive.
I deleted all sms on my blackberry I know blackberry have database and good programmer don't delete data in database. i mean data have some fields to mark deleted and this marked data not listed. Is there any way to restore sms ? Edit: Any way to restore sms from simcard? Pls give me change. We are human we can make mistake. I want my sms back.
I work for a charity & we want to see if we can move our names & mobile No.s from Access Database &/or Excel Workbook onto the Blackberry Curve 8900 so as to text all of the contacts at once.
Just been trying to clear up my memory for my curve and bold (options > status > database sizes) and was wondering where I can find the data for content store as its taking up about 500kb.
