I work in an apple repair shop, We repair all apple devices big or small.. Ive seen allot of strange issues in my time here but can any one explain this??? Under usage it says 15,464 days of usage since last full charge. The customers 4s dies in an hour after a full charge, The phone adds a thousand days to usage after every new batter I install.
I did a security wipe on my phone because I previously encountered a problem with my phonebook. The wipe resolved my phonebook problem but caused me a new dilemma. An unusual battery icon started appearing and it won't go away. I tried draining my batt, rebooting the phone, full charging the batt, security wiping again, nothing seems to work.
I have been using iPhone 4, 5 and now 6. iPhone 6 has been making an unusual clicking noise when i touch / press bottom panel. It is normal to press bottom panel while clicking home button. I have shown it to Apple Genius Bar in Dublin CA and they could see and hear the bottom panel clicking.Â
It is difficult to hear the clicking noise in the store due to surrounding noise. i have uploaded a video to make it simpler for Apple to investigate. URL...I am running out of options with Apple Genius technicians. I can reproduce the problem after removing the case too.
Does anyone else have this glitch? When I choose "repeat 1" to repeat the same song, it will play it, then go to the next song, and repeat THAT one over and over instead of the one I originally chose. This never happened on my 3G, but it happens all the time on the 4. Is this a known bug?
I was wondering if anyone here has experienced the problem I've been having with the weather icon on my lockinfo lock screen. It's off-center to the lower right side. Check out a screenshot.
all of a sudden getting unusual buffering issues when i watch streamed content, i.e. Internet, i have this problem on both 3g and wifi which is weird, i never had it before; ive had the phone around a year and its only recently which ive had the problem, it opens the video/audo and buffers and is just **bleep**. you know the score. when i view pages on facebook, well when i used to view them, id click the option through the blackberry icon to view an image in full, the image would maximise to fit the screen of the phone, but now it opens a page to be viewed individually but is only seen as the size it was in the previous page, just without the background. i know it isnt right this way because it used to maximise to the whole screen and now i have to zoom in to get a full image and it goes blurry.
I'm experiencing this couple of times which is my phone unusually reeboots while I open 4-5 apps simultaneously.Last time, as far as i can remember,I had 1.Wikitude 2.App World(downloading) 3.Angry Pigs Season 4.Web browsing I've os 7.0 installed?
I'm running the most recent build .591 and using skullcandy ink'd headphones. While I'm working out the audio will play normally, but as soon as I place the phone in my pocket it will cut out and then suddenly voice command will initiate. I do not have voice command mapped to either of the side keys. I work out in shorts and the pockets are pretty loose so I don't reckon any buttons are being pushed or the audio jack is being affected.
I tried replicating the problem by fiddling with the audio adapter, hitting random buttons, but it only happens when I place the phone in my pocket. The only other thing I can think of is that it has something to do with the light sensor maybe? Has anyone else experienced this?
I got a voice mail pop-up saying I had 49 New Voice Messages. Now I have the number 49 and a really tiny message indicator with a line pointing up from the middle of the reels. If I then get a voice message, that number and the message icon appears to the left. After I listen to the vm, both will disappear. If I turn the phone off and turn it back on, the 49 and little icon are back. Any ideas? I have the BB Bold 9900.
I see an unusual image like a black rectangular clock with the second hand sweeeping round a contact number shortly after I dial and sometimes just before I end the call
I seem to have this unusual status indicator on my home screen. It has seem to appear after I did an upgrade one of my application. It has the number 1 with a golden globe shaped to it. Can someone please inform me what that status indicator means.
I just got my photon yesterday night and when talking to others it sound like the phone is hollow and my voice is echoing back through the shell of the phone. I noticed this also after i check the store floor model and seem's the same issue(both were defective?). Callers on other end hear me fine, so it's not there phone or the service.
I have a Curve 9300 on a 'Social Plan' offered by Telus...it was a promotional plan that came with the phone. This plan DOES NOT INCLUDE DATA USAGE, but, it does give me unlimited usage of preloaded social networking apps (this included Facebook 1.6 or w.e it was, as well as BBM, Twitter, and a few others that don't matter).Today, I decided to 'upgrade' my Facebook app to 2.0. All attempts to log-in are met with this message: "We are unable to reach the Facebook server at this time. (0)" One other thing that should be noted is that I wasn't able to upgrade the app conventionally, due to a glitch I am unsure of. I uninstalled Facebook 1.6 and installed 2.0 from the App World site.
I don't if this is an HTC problem or a WinMo 6.5 problem .but some reason, ever since I upgraded to the 6.5 OS on TP2 with Verizon, the threaded messaging has been faulty. It says that there more unread messages than there actually are. For example, someone will send me a text message ( just one ).It reads (2) unread but there is only ONE message.Someone sent me an MMS and now the unread total is up to 4 even though there is NOTHING in my Inbox.I checked everything; Voicemail, email inbox, MMS Inbox you name it.And I got nothing. I downloaded the update from PCDphones.com.When I called Verizon tech support, they said that there was a patch for it somewhere but didn't specify WHERE.
I recently got my new a Blackberry Storm2 9520 and have it has a problem. when i minimize the position slider in the music player there is a black rectangle underneeth it and kind of get in my way and im not sure how to get rid of it?
Whenever I try to visit a web site using my browser, by clicking a link or accessing a site from my history, The page starts to load but then the Start Page opens instead.
Is anyone else having an issue with the camera after the GB update. It seems the first picture taken after you open the camera doesn't take correctly. There is a "double" shutter and the picture usually is no good. With the flash, it is even worse. Then the next picture taken and the ones after it take fine...that is unless you shut the camera and then put it on again.
After recently updating my Bold 9780 to OS 6.0 Bundle 2534 I'm getting the "My Services" screen at startup plus the phone is automatically trying to connect to a specific bluetooth device - both of which it never did before the upgrade.
One thing my phone used to do flawlessly before the Gingerbread update was play music. I use Pandora, Google Music, Amazon music, etc and they all worked perfectly before the update.
Since the update listening to music has become a painful experience. Audio has become extremely glitchy to the point where its unlistenable (sputtering, skipping, etc if you are familiar with an Xrun that is how I would describe it). Usually this happens when I'm listing to music while working in other apps (ie, scrolling through a feed in tweetdeck) but it sometimes happens when playing music is the only thing I'm doing with the phone.
I listen to Slacker radio all the time, but sometimes in the middle of a song, the volume the cranks up. I'll be sitting in the library listening to music, doing homework without touching the phone, then the next thing I know the volume increases x1.5, then I have to turn it down manually, even though the volume adjuster is the same as before. I haven't noticed this using Windows Media Player, but I use Slacker 85% more than anything else. Has anyone else experienced this, or is my phone defective?
I just upgraded to .517, and it has occurred on both OS'.
my phone is approx 2 years old and a few months ago developed a glitch in that it shows the number of the text messages I have, and the number is increasing despite the fact that I have deleted all texts from the phone. I noticed that when I switch the phone on after a period off, it adds new messages and shows them as "new" (with that sparkly sign at the corner of it). I wonder whether there is a way of deleting this misleading icon from the home-screen?
I have had my phone since last september and its only now that i am having problems with it. I was using it this morning working fine, till i locked the screen. When i tried to unloack it only the top half of the screen shows an image the other half barely visible and i have this wierd lines trying to scroll down the screen like its trying to load. I have not dropped my phone or knocked it or anything. I have taken very good care of it so i am suprised to be having this issue. I have tried taking the battery and putting it back it and i have also tried doing a hard reset. still no luck. I cant even setup the phone again since i cant use the bottom half of the screen. I tried rotating it hoping it would work but no luck. so the phone is practically useless to me right now.
In the Battery and Data Manager > Data Delivery settings we have some options with respect to using data over the mobile networks and roaming.Last weekend my wife (iPhone) and I went to the Canadian side of Niagara falls. I double checked that on both of our phones, we had the Data roaming option disabled, but as AT&T still gets reasonable signal, I left data enabled over our home network. From time to time, the phones roamed to Rogers where we either got texts or in the case of my Atrix a notification saying were roaming and that we had disabled data so couldn't access anything. Great - I thought. The iPhone made it through the weekend just fine. The Atrix, not so much.Very early in the trip, at one point when I woke my screen to check it, I saw AT&T at the top with the data transfer indicators active (and blue). Then, the signal switched to Rogers and the transfer lights stayed on for a few seconds, before eventutally disappearing and only then did the data roaming notification pop up.
I thought this was weird, so I checked my balance, and sure enough, I had 80kB of roaming data present. Not much but at 1.5c per kB I wasn't sure I wanted to keep chancing this happening, and so resorted to turning off mobile data alltogether - which I don't think I should have to do (and DIDN'T have to on the iPhone).I'm not all that impressed. The data roaming option is a software issue - as the network by default allows it and so the onus is on "us" to make sure we don't accrue unwanted charges - but how can I if the phone just kinda does what it wants anyway?
Just read this on my AP Mobile News. Just thought I'd share here. Here ya go dave: http://m.apnews.com/ap/db_8559/contentdetail.htm?contentguid=d3kOyutA
I have already read enough of this great forum post, I hope in the future to helpbeginners like me, one day we had to IOS (formerly had a Galaxy S2) and now we are more than comfortable with my 4s!I have the cell phone constantly charging, either in the Dock, when I go to bed, Through The cable in my university (when I'm in class or on the computer in the Library), this because the phone if consuming battery (I have the iOS 5.0.1) and hate running out of battery (no phone) when I'm away from home. Then the doubt (I've already searched in many forums) is whether this is detrimental tothe battery of the phone, or simply when the iPhone detects that is loaded, just stops receiving load and nothing happens:
Just purchased iPhone 4S and it's sucking the life out of the battery. I've read several posts to turn items off to save battery life and nothing seems to be working.
My iphone 4s battery was dead, so I replaced a battery bought over internet. Now when I charge the phone ( using usb cable plugged to the power outlet on the wall) on right top corner it displays "battery is charged" (battery icon with a plug) but % of charge remains at 5%.
So I returned my iPhone 4 yesterday and got shamefully put down by apple with the white announcement lol. But regardless. My 3GS has terrible battery life. Like really bad. I've barely used it today from 10am and it's at 40 percent and that's literally mostly asleep. My question is , is there any way to salvage a bad battery? By using a specific charge cycle to maybe boost it up a bit? I just need a temporary fix while I use this phone.
So had my N900 for a little over a week now and overall I'm pretty impressed. Great phone, but still very much a work in progress. One of the main issues I have at the moment, other than no turn-by-turn navigation (sorry, had to mention it), is the battery life - or lack of!
On an average weekday I use the phone to send a few texts (no more than 10), scan the news sites (no more then 20-30mins total) and catch up on my RSS feeds (again, no more than 20-30 mins total). I'm not using the media player at all and I may make one or two short calls.
Bottom line is that I'm struggling to get more than 6 hours battery life out of it. I know smart phones are thirsty, but I don't even get to listen to music on my way to or from work! Here's what I've already done to reduce battery consumption:
Removed active widgets (such as ForcaWeather) from desktops and replaced with web shortcuts.Reduced screen brightness to 2 barsDisabled GPS & Network positioningDisabled IMDisabled BluetoothI've heard some mention reducing the amount of active desktops, but I think that kinda defeats the object of having a N900. May as well buy a lesser phone if you need to strip out all the functionality to get though the day. I'd be satisfied with 8-10 hours medium use. At the moment I'm getting around 6 hours at light use - got to be something I'm missing.
