Last week i had my iphone stolen, but i never felt the need to make it trackable... NOW i have a new iphone, but i wont make the same mistake again... i have the icloud and mobile my and find my iphone all set up, but there is one thing i am trying to figure out:
Since all the iphone apps only work when the phone is on i am wondering if there is a way to remotely turn on the iphone if needed? I "read" online from someone that claimed to be an apple employe, that there is the possibility of sending an "important message" to the phone that would power the phone on, and that the phone always stores enough battery life so that it is able to receive those important messages (with the exception that after several warning of low batter this might not work anymore). I have not found any other mentionings of this so i wanted to get informed here. So:
Is there a way to remotely turn on my iphone 4?
And also i was wondering if there is a way for me to make my old iphone turn into a brick, not even an ipod ? i still have the MEID of the old phone but nothing else, and i already had VERIZON shut off the service and am using the same phone number on my new iphone. I am also interested in maybe being able to remote control my iphone, i read that if i jailbreak it i could get some apps for that, but i dont feel comfortable voiding the waranty, so:
Is there another way to remotecontrol my iphone 4? Additionally i am VERY interested in any additional security options for my phone, since i dont feel like having it taken again, and if i do i want to make sure that i am still in control of that phone.
I already have the maximum allowed five devices linked to my apple ac. One of them is an old and out-of-use laptop that I need de-activate as a device in order to activate my iphone. How can I de-activate the old laptop without finding it and booting it up? Can I de-activate it from my main Mac desktop?
I would like to use my Mac to remotely view the camera on my iPhone via my LAN. Is that possible? If so, can someone recommend an app / method?
I'd rather do it via an app as opposed to logging in with different accounts and using Facetime or other such methods. An app would be a much cleaner way to do it IMO.
I know this is probably a really stupid question but this is the last chance to try and locate my gf's iphone which she has just lost in a taxi somewhere in Hong Kong. As she does not have international roaming she had it set on airplane mode so it's not like she can just call it up and find out if it's been handed in Is there anyway to remotely turn off airplane mode?I realise the automatic response might be 'well if she doesn't have a cellular network, how do you think you could sent anything to the phone even if there was a way to do it" but I'm literally grasping at straws here
I am unable to set up a connection on the same wifi and bluetooth between my macbook and iPhone to use the remote function in Keynote.Â
My iPhone doesn't even appear in theRemote menu in Keynote when I try to set up remote access on my iPhone in Keynote. (Both devices are right next to each other). Â
Second, I'm unable to establish a connection between my iPhone and Mac via bluetooth, i get this message. (on the same wifi, device next to each other). At the moment, I understand remote access in keynote between mac and iOS devices are only made available for wifi connection. Though why is it I can't even connect my iPhone to my macbook.Â
Used a friend's laptop to access some data in my phone (a voice memo) and send an audio file to someone. Can the friend now access my data from her laptop without being connected to my phone with a USB?
I'am investigating a way to remotely control and solve basic problems of iPhone and iPad's. As an enterprise company we have over 2000 iPhones and iPads in our corporate and we want our help desk professionals be able to connect these type of mobiles and help staff over the phone.
Is there a way to achieve this situation and could you please share with related articles about this sceneraio.
I was at a restaurant and the bust guy and girl remove my phone from the table.the phone was immediately powered off. my location was not turned. How to remotely locate my phone. I've tried to locate my galaxy s5 via the device manager unsuccessfully. I've also called Samsung, sprint, and Google. I have also filed a police report.my phone has confidential and proprietary information for my place of employment.
My BB services has stopped working suddenly since last 10 days and the message it gives saying "The terminal cannot be configured remotely, please contact customer support for further assistance". I really want to get this problem solved as soon as possible.
My 9800 was stolen this morning- I wondered whether there was a way of remotely deleting everything on it and my memory card? I didn't have a pin code on it to acess my stuff nor any apps
I know you can use "cheese" and similar words to trigger the camera to take a photo, but how can I do something similar to trigger the video recording?
I want to use it on a tripod to record video, but start it while in front of it. Sure I could edit out the start where I walk back around in front of it, but that's going to be a pain that I shouldn't need to do.
Is their an app or program that could be remotely sent and removed from my blackberry without my knowledge to track my location? Does that tech exist or just in movies?
I just stumbled across this program today called anyRemote.A pretty nifty piece of software you install on your Linux computer, and an equivalent jar file for your J2ME enabled phone.Check it out at http://anyremote.sourceforge.net/ If you're using Ubuntu, you can find anyRemote in Software Center. I got it working with my SE Aino. You're presented with 12 icons on the screen, which you can press using the 12 numeric keys - or use touch if the phone supports touch, like Aino does. The 12 icons are defined in a default configuration file for each program you can control. You can edit this configuration file to define other controls as you like.
