I upgraded my phone last night to 5.1.1. and this morning i noticed that i couldnt text anyone unless it was through imessage. calling works and my apps work but just regular texting does not work. will restoring fix this?

I updated my iPhone 4 to iOS 5.1 when it was released. My friend updated his iPhone 4S delayed, yesterday. Before yesterday iMessage worked well between our iPhones.But since my friend updated to iOS 5.1 as well, iMessage does not work anymore between our two iPhones.iMessage works well with all other adresses we both use as well. But only our two iPhones cannot use iMessage anymore.

My wife and I both have iPhones (mine is a 4, hers a 4s). iMessage has worked flawlessly between us since she got her iPhone.However, after clearing all my conversations, any time I try to start a new one with her it is sent as text message. In fact, when starting the new conversation and choosing a contact, it lists her twice. Once with her mobile number (not showing the iMessage icon) and again with her email address (showing the icon). Buddy of mine on ATT, with iPhone 4? iMessage works perfectly. He shows up once with mobile number and iMessage icon. Doesnt show iMessage icon and goes as text.

I was recently given an unlocked Blackberry Bold 9000. It is an AT&T phone, but I am using it on the T-Mobile network. For some reason, I am able to connect to WiFi, but when I do I am only able to use the internet. I am not able to use the WiFi to make calls or to send texts. My T-Mobile signal is pretty weak, so it would be nice to use the WiFi to make calls and send texts from home and work.

I've been having troubles with using facetime with my iphone. I never had this problem before getting a mac. Whenever I receive a facetime call or try to facetime someone, it says it's connecting but after a while, it says it's unable to connect because whenever I receive a call, my mac also receives it and when I pick up the call from the iphone, the mac somehow ends the call. However, for some reason, facetime works on macs.

Both 3G network and WiFi connections work as google app and chrome browser connect to internet. Everything else doesn't including safari, mail, whatsapp. Notifications for almost every app work.Â
I tried the following:
1. I Restarted almost everything: router, iphone, iphone with both Home and Power switches held together.
2. I tried upgrading to 7.1.2 but I kept getting s/w is unavailable at this time error. I tried removing the downloaded software. Now I get unable to check for update (not connected to internet) error.
3. I connected to PC and upgraded iTunes to latest version, but can't figure out how to make anything, that's not working, work
4. Also, I tried removing apps that I sparingly use.
