Tried to send a message from my ipad to my iphone but I get message that my phone is not registered to receive imessage. I turned the settings on my phone to receive imessages.
My phone can't recieve iMessages all of a sudden. I can still send iMessages with my phone and both my iPad and Mac can send and recieve iMessages. I've tried following the troubleshooting, but nothing works. What's going on?
I recently lost my iPhone 3GS, and I'm now using a 3G that I found on ebay. As it turns out, I can't receive iMessages from iPhones which I used to iMessage with. This means I can't receive texts at all from these numbers.
I bought iphone 6 plus 64G to upgrade from my iPhone 4S. I have not been able to send or receive iMessages to iPhone users in my contacts with my cell number. It always uses my email when I create a new iMessage and is able to send that way. I cannot receive iMessages from iPhones to my cell number. which is a huge problem. I have tried turning iMessages on and off and resetting my network and nothing seems to be working. How can I resolve the problem?
I am not sure if this feature is hidden somewhere in plain sight, or whether it is a feature that Apple will need to implement.Â
How can I Block BY DEFAULT everyone who is not on my contact list from sending me spam iMessages and FaceTime?Â
The problem is that my email address gives away that I have a Mac or an iOS device, and iMessage. I want to block all strangers, and I don't have the time or the will to block each spam phone number or email address.Â
Apple, if it not there already, implement a "From Contacts Only" Option for iMessage and FaceTime. Â
Info: MacBook Pro, OS X Mavericks (10.9.4), iPhone4S, iPad3
I have had my iPhone 5c for around 4 months, it has only 8g of storage and up until this afternoon I have been unable to receive pictures. My iMessage is working fine and I can send picture messages but when someone else tries to send me a picture message it doesn't come through. I have never had this problem before and it was working up until this afternoon.
for the past 5 days or so now I am unable to receive imessages. My phone allows me to send them out but I am getting multiple people telling me that they are unable to send me imessages back, and they are being forced into SMS messages. PLEASE HELP! this is so annoying! my phone is updated and has always worked up until recently. what is the deal?
I Can send i messages to other phones but my daughter can't send or receive them. As far as I know she hasn't changed any settings . Text messages are fine though.
So, I don't know how this works when you order the new iphone 4, but when you pickup at att or apple they will open the box for you and register everything for you at their office. So if it was delivered then do I just simply switch sim cards? My wife and I are both eligible for an upgrade. We both plan on upgrading to the iphone 4. My wife is currently using a BB with the BB unlimited data plan. Att says that you can keep your unlimited data even when upgrading, but is that for current iphone users? (Can she switch from BB unlimited data to iphone unlimited data?) My wife is not a big iphone fan and I'm scared she might not like it so I was wondering if I had to sell it will att allow her to switch back to her old BB or does she have to stick with it since she upgraded?
When I turned on my iphone 4s for the first time I wasn't given any options about icloud or registering. The woman in the shop did something. So when I hooked it up to my windows pc, to register it with itunes, I can't seem to be able to do it.
I had to change my Apple ID email address in order to receive the iCloud verification email, however now my iPhone still uses my old email address for the apple ID and won't let me sign in etc. How do I register my newer Apple ID to the phone instead.
I had this problem at little while ago and it seemed to fix itself but now my iMessage has stopped working again, but only to my wifes iPhone. I'm not sure if it's related to the iOS update but i think it was working ok after that?I have a iPhone 4, she has a 3GS. They are both registered on the same apple ID I cannot send her iMessages but when she sends me texts (via iMessage) i receive them as messages but from my email address We are both in areas with 3G or wireless networks I have tried all of the suggestions that I have found on here and nothing is working on my phone!
Is there a way to recover old iMessages? Are these messages held in the network somewhere? If so, how easy is it to recover them? I need to look up some messages for a file of mine.

I have a work Apple ID and a personal Apple ID. I don't take my work iPad home, but co-workers need to send me messages after I've left for the day. Can I set up my work Apple ID on my iPhone? When I try to add it, it says it's already in use.
