Aug 29, 2014I don't know what's happened, but for some reason my iPhone 5 has stopped sending iMessages to my boyfriend (the person I iMessage the most), it simply just says 'delivered' on my iPhone but they're not actually sending to him. It's working perfectly fine for everyone else.Â
I've reset my network settings and still nothing, what else can I do? Switch off iMessage and back on again? Not being able to text (iMessage) him is going to be a problem.Â

IPhone 5 :: Keeps Missing Calls And Sending IMessages?
Jun 20, 2014for the past five days my iphone 5 has been acting funny. My friend called me three times before I actually heard a ring and picked up. He told me that he kept calling, but I wasn't hearing anything. Afterwards, when I looked at my phone history, it says I had indeed missed a bunch of calls. The next day he tells me the same thing, except with Facetime. When I look at my history, it says "Facetime answered on another advice." It says this multiple times, especially when I do not hear my phone ringing. I do not have facetime on any other device besides my iphone 5.Â
At first I thought it meant that my phone was just acting weird and that the place I was at had no signal at all, hence why it took my friend three tries to reach me. But then the weirdest thing happened. Yesterday, my friend called me while I was driving. I wasn't picking up so he called again. When I got home, I called him back. Everything was fine. But when I looked at my imessage history with this said friend, it showed a message I never even sent! It was in English, but I definitely am sure I never sent that text at that time because 1 - I was driving & I knew where I was during that exact time and 2 - I don't even text that way!Â
This is odd. My phone is always physically with me and my phone is NOT jailbroken. I know it's not a glitch because after my phone sent that text message, I had a feeling my phone was being hacked or something! I just changed my icloud password, does that do anything? If someone has access, will it stop now that my password is changed? Do I take it to the Genius Bar?

Apr 25, 2012What is the deal with animated GIFs via iMessages on the iPhone? Does it work? Is it supposed to? Are there any limitations? I tried sending an animated gif to a friend. Both of us are using an iPhone 4S running iOS 5.1. On my end, I see the animation playing on the iMessages app. On her end she just receives a still frame. Why?
I tried it two different ways. First I tried it by simply copying the image from Safari and pasting it into the message. Then I tried it by saving the image to my camera roll and adding it to the message that way. Neither worked. Both times I could see the animation on my end, but the recipient only saw a still image.

Dec 3, 2014So this question is actually about my friends iPhone 4... She and I text on a daily basis and we use iMessages. As of two days ago, every time I sent her an iMessage, it would fail and I would have to send it as a text message. Well we finally figured out it was because her iMessages were turned off (probably by her 2 year old daughter.) So she turned them back on and she sent me an imessage. But when she sent the imessage and I received it, I received the message from her apple id, not her phone number which is what I normally receive her messages from. Her and I can't figure out how to change it back to her phone number..

May 20, 2012I've owned an iPhone 4 for the last 2 years, but have now upgraded to a different device.
I still have my old iPhone 4 in my possession, running 5.0.1. I have removed the micro-sim card from my iPhone and it is now in my new device (which is NON-apple).
To my horror, I text a friend (an iPhone user) from my new handset, only for my OLD iPhone to receive his reply! Obviously I was shocked, as my iMessages were set up by telephone number and NOT by my Apple-ID. I didn't understand this, as my phone number (SIM card) is no longer in my iPhone, it is in my new device.
Now having Googled this, I can see that this is something that is affecting a massive amount of people world wide. I cannot believe a company like Apple would allow this to happen, especially with the current world concern about privacy and security!!!
Anyhooo, my question is this: I have my old iPhone 4 in my possession. HOW DO I STOP iMessages going to my old handset?!When the device is erased, will the new owner still be able to set up iMessages as if it is a brand new handset?Once iMessages are prevented going to my old iPhone, will I start to receive messages from my friends as a normal SMS on my new phone (currently this is not the case, ALL texts go to my old iPhone which I ceased using a week ago. EVEN WITH iMESSAGES turned OFF, I still do not receive the message on my NEW device with the SIM card inserted in it)
I have read that removing the sim card, and cycling iMessages (Off then back On) before resetting/erasing. I don't want "maybe's" or "possiblys" in this case. My concern here is my privacy and protection of information that is only for me to see!
