Is there a way to know what data an application accesses, and when it does so?
Is there a way to block it?
A firewall application for the iphone?
I know that you can turn off the GPS, globally, or "block" it when an application asks to access your location.
I saw an article a few days ago that said there is quite a bit of personal info that apps can access via published API.
Storm 2 (9550) with Verizon, running v5.0.0.607 (Bundle 1020, Platform 4.2.0.275)When a new application requests application control permissions, I receive the "View" dialog box, which in turn delivers a screen that shows "RIM - Application Modules". I would then typically select the "Menu" button which allows me to "Save", "Set as Defaults", "Apply Defaults" or "Edit Defaults".The problem I am having is that "Save" does nothing. "Apply Defaults" does nothing. "Set as Defaults" is the only selection that works, my app then launches.Shouldn't "Save" and/or "Apply Defaults" do virtually the same thing considering I have all Permissions set to Allow.

I'm having an issue with accessing my privacy settings on my Iphone 5. Every time i click on privacy, my phone freezes for a few seconds and crashes back to the home screen. Sometimes it will stay frozen on the home screen till i reboot it.

Skype was working okay, but today, when I tried to call someone from my phone, it said i had to allow skype to use the mic, but I had already done that. I still went to privacy settings, but no apps showed up there. But on the camera, while I had multiple apps that use it, none showed up either. In fact, tthe only privacy setting working right was location services!

My iphone 4s photo privacy settings went on the blink. I cannot turn any of the displayed app on or off. Also my recently added Instagram app isn't even displayed.

On my old S3 and my wife's S5 and her old iPhone we were able to turn the phone off the Bluetooth speakers on the car and use it as a hand held device if we wanted to (ie holding it up to your ear to hear instead of using the cars speakers and mic). (I drive with my kids in the car and often can't hear a darn thing unless the phone is right up on my ear).

- choosing not to save automatically all sent messages in the Sent Items folder
- how to get rid of the Recently Used folder when choosing a contact to whom send a message or at least being able to manually delete contacts in that same folder
- when receiving a message I don't want the name of the contact who has sent it to be shown on the home screen. I just need to be notified of the reception of the message.

I have set to not accept cookies.However it appears they are still on, as my last activities on each site is still indicated each time i visit. except if i do a battery pull, but if it is not accepting cookies, what is tracking my usage etc and how do i turn off. The message I'm getting after starting the deletion process from the application manager is: "Before uninstalling KMS 9.0, disable Encryption and Privacy Protection."where on Earth do I do these seemingly simple tasks? View 2 Replies View RelatedWith my old Xperia Z1c, when adaptive brightness is on and the environment light is darkest, the screen brightness may be adjusted to, let's say, 0. Even you drag the brightness control bar to leftmost, the dimmest brightness you can get is still 0. But in Xperia Z5, you can go dimmer than that with the control bar, and this dim cannot be achieved using the same control bar if you disable the adaptive brightness. If one component cannot do something in manual mode, should not be able to do that thing in automatic mode either. So I believe that this is a bug.

Having been used to Voice Control on the 3GS, I used it regularly for calling people, playing music, etc and always found it very accurate.However, the VC on my new iPhone 4 is really dreadful.I realise that it may be a simple fault with my actual phone and a simple replacement may be the only answer.I have a Genius appointment booked for early next week, but the thought occurred to me - has anyone else experienced this and if so, any ideas/suggestions?It cannot recognise anything I say and gets all commands truly wrong. I have tried resetting it but it makes no difference.
