May 4, 2011I sometimes use whatsapp to chat to friends, but typing long sessions get tiresome quickly, so i want to control the phone from my laptop if possible.i installed droid vnc but as soon as i try to connect, the service stops. I wrote the author to see if i can get a fix.So i thought of another solution. Maybe i can put a bluetooth dongle in the laptop and somehow install a virtual keyboard in the computer so the phone can see it as a bt keyboard. I have seen a software for this but on linux only and i haven't been able to find a windows solution.

I got it working with my SE Aino. You're presented with 12 icons on the screen, which you can press using the 12 numeric keys - or use touch if the phone supports touch, like Aino does.The 12 icons are defined in a default configuration file for each program you can control. You can edit this configuration file to define other controls as you like.

Aug 12, 2010So I connected my Bell Vibrant to my Win7 X64 PC via Bluetooth, and all sorts of funny issues happen when attempting to control dialing from my PC, and use my computer as a speakerphone. To begin with, the "Hangup" button doesn't work, plus whenever I press the "Connect" button to "Use this computer as a headset or speakerphone for calls on your phone (Galaxy S)," the phone starts dialing the number written in the "Make a call to this number:" field (when there's a number written there--otherwise it would start dialing the latest dialed number) without my having to press the "Connect" button. Ain't that funny? Anyone else going through this?

Oct 7, 2011I am using a Blue Ant Q1 Blue Tooth headset and updated to the latest firmware on it. Now when I tell the Blue Ant Voice command the command 'Phone prompt' it connects with my Blackberry Torch 9800 Nuance Voice command option with no problems.Now when I tell the Nuance voice command the numbers of a phone number I want to call, it will repeat it back to me to verifying the number. Now the numbers are clear when the voice command repeats the number I want to call.I swear it really sounds like the very first computer voice ever created, it's all garbled and muddy like. No real clarity in what it is repeating back to me.It is very hard to make out what the voice command is repeating back to me to verify the word I used to describe the number I want it to call.Now, I shut off my Blue Ant Blue Tooth headset and tried the Nuance voice commands with my phone only and I get the same poor quality computer animated voice issues coming out of my Blackberry Torch 9800.Is this normal, I sure hope not, after purchasing what I consider a top quality cell phone. I would expect more clarity with this software from Blackberry and Nuances.This is the one feature that I really need for a cell phone to perform well for me, since I am on the road a lot for my business and needs handsfree dialing.

Jul 3, 2010With my old Xperia Z1c, when adaptive brightness is on and the environment light is darkest, the screen brightness may be adjusted to, let's say, 0. Even you drag the brightness control bar to leftmost, the dimmest brightness you can get is still 0. But in Xperia Z5, you can go dimmer than that with the control bar, and this dim cannot be achieved using the same control bar if you disable the adaptive brightness. If one component cannot do something in manual mode, should not be able to do that thing in automatic mode either. So I believe that this is a bug.

Jun 24, 2010Having been used to Voice Control on the 3GS, I used it regularly for calling people, playing music, etc and always found it very accurate.However, the VC on my new iPhone 4 is really dreadful.I realise that it may be a simple fault with my actual phone and a simple replacement may be the only answer.I have a Genius appointment booked for early next week, but the thought occurred to me - has anyone else experienced this and if so, any ideas/suggestions?It cannot recognise anything I say and gets all commands truly wrong. I have tried resetting it but it makes no difference.

Jun 30, 2010I have a Pioneer AVIC-Z1 Navigation DVD in my car and the bluetooth with my new iPhone 4 does not allow the volume to be adjusted, like I could do with the 3G iPhone.
So, the caller's voice is really loud and the echo is very bad. On the 3G I could use the volume buttons on the iPhone to turn down the caller's voice which made the echo mostly go away. Now, the volume buttons do nothing.
Anyone having problems with their jawbone or other headsets? I was thinking I may have to switch to one of those instead...?
