I am currently in Brazil on vacation and have my UK iPhone, where I am staying has Wifi. If I send an iMessage over wifi and then go out where there is no wifi or 3G will I receive the iMessage or will I get it when I get back home?

I have the iphone 4 but with the 4s update. i can only receive texts that are imessage i cannot recieve it from someone who doesnt have an iphone 4s and its stressing me out cause people think im ignoring them because i dont get their tects and they do not get mine. i only recieve the tects that are blue.

When, I go to settings > messages, I can only "Receive At" xxxx @ email .com as well, there is no option to add a phone number. Whenever I send a text to someone on my iPhone, they say they receive it from my email, not my number. I looked at Messages in the settings and when it showed my number (above my email) it said verifying. I also looked at FaceTime in the settings and when it showed my number it said error. How do I make it so people receive my texts from my number?

I recently moved away from home for school and where I moved to I'm roaming constantly. My phone started not receiving or sending texts to people without iMessage. I turned my iMessage off to try to send myself a text and make the others come through and now my iMessage won't activate. I can only receive phone calls now. I've tried everything to fix it. Are there any known issues with activating iMessage via wifi in airplane mode?
Staying at a hotel outside the country my plan is in. Hotel has great wifi, so I've been iMessaging a lot. It stopped working last night, so I did what I normally do when this happens: turned iMessages off and then back on. But now it's stuck on "waiting for activation."
Restarted, did the DNS trick, let it sit for 8 hours. Still "waiting," no activation error message.
I even tried turning airplane mode off, but oddly, I can't connect to a cell network, despite being in a major city.

Now my iMessage will only work when there is a wifi network and I can't revieve any texts that are sent from other iPhones (not using wifi) through their own iMessage. When I had ios 6 my imessage was working fine despite me reading complaints then I updated to ios 7 and it stopped working I have tried all the tips and tricks posted on the web it'll work maximum for a day and stop. I will be starting to type out the message as imessage then it's sent as a text because at that split second it decided to stop working again. Â

The issue is that when I am on wifi and out of service the phone will not send iMessages or texts over wifi unless the phone is in Airplane mode. Does anyone know how to make wifi the default iMessage so that I can send iMessages over wifi without going to Airplane mode? It tries to send them but it acts as if there is no service when I have full wifi and as soon as I switch to Airplane mode and keep wifi connected, all messages send fine.

My wife is on a school trip to the US. Meanwhile, I am at home in Canada. I am texting her, but I found it odd she never replies and vice versa. So, she discovered that her iPhone (latest iOS 5 release) keeps trying to send the message as an iMessage. It is not reverting to SMS after a given time, as it should and as I have seen it do before. I have tried it now also and my wife only receives my messages when she has a wifi connection (she does not have data roaming enabled). It seems like my iPhone too continously tries to send the message as an iMessage and it does not switch to SMS after a certain timeout time. The message that the iPhone continously tries to send as an iMessage never fails, however the status does not change until the next time my wife is in wifi coverage and the message is delivered.

I'm in an on going conversation with my friend who only has access to Wifi for service on her iPhone. I have access to both cellular data and Wifi service on my iPhone. If we are messaging back and forth when she is connected to Wifi service, all the messages are iMessages and it works great. However, when she leaves the Wifi service and I then send her a message, my message sends as a "green" SMS message. Will she receive these "green" SMS messages when she reconnects to Wifi at a later time? I'm worried she may not be receiving these "green" messages which would leave gaps in our conversation.Â
