IPhone :: Possible To Lock Touchscreen During Call?
Apr 3, 2012
I have a wonderful skill of dialing my phone with my chubby cheeks. The only bad thing is that while I am talking I hit the mute or the speaker phone and even sometimes I dial a phone number. Is there a way to lock the touch screen when on a call?
Sometimes when somebody called me while the key lock is active my toucscreen does not sense i can't do anything this situation happens in every 2 or 3 days.I tried v10 and v20 it happens on two firmware
I've noticed on my 4 that when I'm in a call holding the phone to my ear the touchscreen periodically enables. I can see this specifically at night when I can see a flash of light from the screen. I've had it several times that during one of these times when the screen enables I've ended up hitting the speaker button w/ the side of my face which is quite annoying.
Never noticed this on my first gen iPhone or on my 3GS.Anyone else noticed this or had this issue? Really annoying to be having a conversation and all of the sudden the convo is on speaker.
How can I lock the touchscreen of my BlackBerry torch 9800? I know the key for it, but I wonder if there is a possibility for automatic locking the touchscrren when I close the BlackBerry?
I have a Blackberry Torch and I have found that the touchscreen has started to react slowly. Sometimes I have to lock and unlock the screen before it will react at all.
I recently bought a Nokia 5230 in june 2010. It worked really well for one month. Yesterday i started experiencing unresponsive touchscreen problem. The touchscreen didnt respond and the Small white menu (with the music, web, share icons ) kept popping up if i moved my phone a little bit..(it really annoys)I did a Soft Reset as well as a Hard Reset Nothing worked out. The touchscreeen works after i lock and unlock the phone.
Every time i end a call, i can see the phone is allways doing something else, like browsing the web, or opening the gps aplication. Last but not list, for several times and unexpectedly i hold the call, or i end it by mistake.
I'm sure this happens because i keep telling it to do it (with my face touching the screen, during the calls!!!)
The phone have those 3 physical buttons on the bottom, (the red one, the green one and the menu one) and lets face it, those are the same 3 buttons existing in all nokia non-touchscreen phones).
So, two questions:
a) With those 3 buttons, why do i need the touch screen during a call??
b) Is there any option or aplication or trick to automatically lock the screen on the moment i start a call (incoming or outgoing) and unlock it when i end the call?
I have a Sony Ericsson Aino(u10i) handset. It has the following problem:-Touchscreen goes blank during an incoming call. hence i have to slide open to answer the call. but otherwise other media functions on touchscreen works. I also have the latest software update on my phone. Kindly let me know what could be the problem.
I use Xperia Z2 and SCR10 cover. There is a protective glass, but problem was before I started to use that glass. A firmware is the last 23.4.A.1.232, but problem began earlier (about two months ago).
During a phone conversation the cover Scr10 is closed, the screen is switched off (no lighting). But a touchscreen is still working, and by my ear I press the buttons on the display (lighting of screen is turned off!!!), I start programs, I open the top bar, I come into settings (most often in power management, because battery is on center of top bar), etc.
Since purchasing the Samsung i-780 in July 2008, I have had to change the motherboard three times and I am still having problems today. The phone is not stable and I frequently experience incoming/outgoing call failures and touchscreen failures. I do not even load my phone with any additional softwares and I do not use it for browsing internet, and yet the software and motherboard is not stable. The frequent malfunction of this phone has caused a lot of problems and inconveniences to my business trips. Also it is embarrassing when my business partners find out that my expensive phone is not working. This is my first and last Samsung phone.....
On asha 300, incoming calls can be answered via the touchscreen. How do I disable this behaviour? When I dig out the phone from my pocket, I frequently accidentally drop the call because the phone does not require the swipe gesture before accepting touchscreen input for incoming calls! Is it possible to set the phone to always require the swipe gesture? If not, then is it possible to set it up so that only the physical buttons can answer/drop calls?
This has only happened a couple times, but is really annoying when it does. The phone will be idle, not in use, and I will receive an incoming call. When I go to swipe the unlock/answer screen, the touchscreen is completely unresponsive and I have to let the call go to voice mail. I can't figure out what is causing it, but it periodically happens once or twice a week.
I have a Nokia 5800 XM (RM-428 v31.2.101.263.04) and would like to enable auto-unlock touchscreen during incoming call. It is quite annoying to have to use touchscreen unlock slider on the side and then press "Answer" to answer any incoming call.
Sometimes I allow work colleagues and customers to borrow my personal phone to make calls on. I can't seem to lock the phone when I start a call for them though as it automatically ends the call, meaning I have to give them my phone whilst it is unlocked.Â
I would prefer to dial the number, then lock the phone, knowing that they cannot do anything during or after the call if i'm not around.Â
1) when I receive a new call (waiting) while i am already in a call, the calling contact name is not appearing, its covered by the current call info !!!
2) during a normal call , if i get the mobile off then on my head ,sensor should get the display off again swiftly , its not the case at all, sometimes display keeps running, & sometimes it give a" black light" not turning off , this is not normal...
Since this morning i experience the problem that when i switch my phone on i cannot use the touchscreen. No input is accepted. When i switch the phone off and remove the battery and then switch it on the problem dissapears...
I recently got my iPhone4 and I am having a very annoying issue.During a call my phone would start doing stuff, from sending txt, putting people on mute/hold, calling other ppl.The screen is way to dam sensitive compare to the 3GS I previously had.I've purchased and put invisible sheild screen protector hoping it would dull the sensitivity but that was a fail.Anyway to lock the screen while in a call?
Verizon has tried to fix this problem and cannot. 98% of the time when I am on a call my screen does not lock and go black. Therefore I often mute people by mistake of some other function takes over that my face has activated. Very frustrating. Doesn't repair by turning phone off and then on again.
THE most annoying bug for me so far - I got the phone set to automatically lock (pattern unlock) after 2 minutes of the screen being off. If I receive a call, proximity sensor hits the screen off as you'd expect. 2 minutes later I have to wake the screen manually with the power button, unlock it just to be able to end the call.
Every time I'm talking, the quick settings and main settings open and I end up changing them. I've turned on/off mobile data,, dialled another number while on a call, location, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, flashlight, deleted apps etc. My screen sensitivity is set to lowest.
While in a call, my phone's screen will turn off but when I turn the screen back on, it won't be locked. it will show that the phone is still open and I can use it freely without putting my password in.
Everytime the phone rings I press the button on the side and touch the unlock button on the screen, but before I can touch the answer button, or press the Green button the screen goes dark and locks then I have to do the side/unlock screen thing again.
I use my phone with a wired headset (no hang up botton on the headset). This also happens on speaker phone. If I'm on a conversation for several minutes and its time to hang up--I have to unlock and enter my password (required for corporate activesync) then push the end call button. This makes hanging up an awkward process--having to fumble around for several seconds while the other party gets to listen to you doing it. The lock doesn't happen all the time.
But one way for sure to recreate the behavior is to:
1. Set your screen timeout to 15 seconds.
2. Call the phone from another line. Answer phone and put it on speaker phone. Or use wired headset as I do.
3. Wait for screen timeout or just press power button while on the call. Now wake the phone up. The phone may or may not be locked now. But if you now press the Home softkey, the screen will certainly lock....while you are on a call! This means you know have to slide the lock and enter security code just to hang up on someone.
A better practice from a design stand point is that the phone should never lock while you are on a call. What purpose does it serve to lock while on a call? When it locks you can neither hang up, push dial tones, answer call waiting, etc. until you unlock it. This needs to be fixed.
was wondering if there is call screen lock feature in nokia belle? Because i couldn't find it any where in my nokia 701, even there is no option to edit the normal lock screen or button? Why there are bugs and such small and important features are missing in nokia's belle OS?
