May 9, 2012i have updated to 4.0.4 here are pros- new UI no lags as per other people said.new clock color when fade off (green)speedy browser (you can request now desktop site).Recent app over view (i thought by it we can kill the app, but it just recent apps which we can remove from there).face lock works fine.keybord optimised.voice input is good now.now cons-physical keyboard worked good initially but now its keys not working. i need to go in input method in notification and have to choose google voice typing from xperia keyboard else it will not work. dont know why.second same music player no clear bass/sterio or any 3d surround sound.USB OTG still not there.i am using my phone in same way as 2.3.4 but now its battery draining is too fast. same used but in 4.0.4 its screen usages show too much. don't know why.also software that i had 2.3.4 are not resynced from play store in 4.0.4 some one said that in 4.0.4 we can remove any app that is pre installed but its not true i cant remove video music unlimited /dlna etc.

If I only want to use it for calls and texting and nothing else, should I update from its current system version 1.6 / Firmware version 1.5?If I wanted to do this manually, are system and firmware updates done separately and where are the download pages to do it manually?There are threads talking about how updates slowed down CLIQ MB200 phones. Do they slow down the basic functions of this phone? I see there are Android platform versions all the way up to 3.2. Is version 2.1 the last version compatible with MB200?Some threads compare updating this phone to installing Windows 7 or Vista on older computers - they would slow down basic functions on them so it's really not worth it to update. Is that comparison true when it comes to this first Android phone?

Jun 5, 2010Ok so I bought an env2 off a guy on craigslist. I dropped my old one in a puddle but I really loved my env 2 so I bought a used one from someone on craigslist. When I went to activate it I discovered it was on revol's network, I dont live in the city hence I can get coverage on revol. Still says verizon all over it when you turn it on and off. I am not very savvy with cell phones but I am with a computer. I took it to the verizon store and they tried to put new firmware on it but it didnt work. I have a tough time beleiving that it can go from verizons network to revols but not back, if anyone has a way that I can flash the phone back to verizon.

Nov 16, 2012This is for my father-in-law's phone. He has just basic service, so no text or data plan. Bitpim doesn't appear to support it and I cannot find a USB driver for it. The phone does not currently have Kies installed (I don't even know if it is supported on this phone). And he can't install new applications because he has no data plan. Is he pretty much out of luck or is there some alternate way of doing this that I haven't discovered yet?

Any apps that require internet connection won't load, emails aren't coming through, can't connect to itunes or app store, send texts, etc. If I connect to wifi everything works fine. Mar 25, 2012I have an iPhone 4S, running ios 5.1 and on the Verizon Wireless (US) network. I recently bought a TruPhone international sim card for use overseas as Verizon's global roaming rates are criminal. I met all the requiremnts to have VZW unlock the phone and contacted them. They tried of course to scam me into activating their ripoff international sim but eventualy agreed to unlock the sim card as they are required by US to do. The problem is they told me that all they really do is send a request to Apple who then unlocks the phone through iTunes. I followed their directions and synced the phone through iTunes but it hasn't unlocked. I contacted VZW and they said there's nothing else they can do. They show my account as having been unlocked and blamed Apple. truPhone confirmed that they are having troube with VZW Apple products as far as getting them unlocked.

May 30, 2012I have the Verizon iPhone 4s. i didn't have the passcode to my phone so i had to wipe it, then restore it from a previous backup. So far everything has carried through alright but I'm [inevitably] having problems with the phone activating. The phone knows its phone number but it won't roam because it hasn't been successfully activated under verizons networks. I am going to be in the UK for quite a while. The phone isn't able to connect to verizon towers from here, and it continues to say "searching..." and "no service" in the corner but it knows its not in america because the overseas carrier option has appeared in the settings? is there anything i can do? could i call verizon and they acti vate the phone from there?

Jun 25, 2010I have a line with ATT right now for my iphone (1 year left on contract) and I want to take this number and use it for a new phone on Verizon.
Do I have to cancel my ATT contract in order to do that?
I already have a Verizon account (one line on a family plan) and ideally, I would just switch numbers (Verizon number is moved to ATT and vice versa).
Can I do this without canceling any contracts (i.e. keep my unlimited data plan with ATT & NOT pay ETF)?
