Jul 1, 2010I'm thinking of selling my 3GS in order to upgrade to iPhone 4. The only hitch is, I don't want to get stuck without a phone in-between. know if there is a decent supply of devices for walk-in customers at Apple retail stores? I tried calling my local one tonight, but got left on hold. They were probably swamped due to iphone mania.

Jun 14, 2010I gave my info to a local Radio Shack rep to call me when she had more info on preorders and while it is in the news everywhere that Radio Shack, Best Buy and ATT are going to be taking orders, this person claims no one is.
She claims she just got out of a meeting with her regional manager who just finished speaking with their corporate team and Apple. No stores are allow to take "PRE ORDERS!" What they are doing is giving out a unique number to each customer generated supposedly by Apple which puts you in a line to get one at that location and determines how many are sent to each location.
Can anyone verify this info? It sounds like BS to me but bottom line she isnt taking preorders!

Mar 31, 2012How can i call the apple retail store? when ever I get to the store's number it puts me over to Apple care and not the store? I need a local person at the store to tell me about stock that they have on hand or set up a one to one appointment, any ideas? I try saying, "HUMAN BEING!" but it always asks me what I'm calling about. I always say, "none of your business," to the automated system. I would never say that to a person. so rude! Is there any way to avoid that second prompt? I just want to get straight to a rep in the store without any prompts. what ever happened to operators answering the phones?

Apr 21, 2012The story so far: I bought an accessory in Nov 2011 at an Apple Retail Store. (Philips dual-dock speaker) It started malfunctioning in Mar 2012. (Dock not charging anymore) I brought it to an Apple Store (closer to my place), they were happy to replace it on the spot, except that there was none in stock. So I was advised to go to an other Store (the original one), where they had stock. So far, so good for service. I went to the other store, but there I was told that they could not replace it because I had bought it more than 14 days before, so I had to contact the manufacturer directly! So my questions are:
- What is, if any, the actual policy on non-Apple product repair & replacement?
- Why don't all store follow the same policy?
- Should I just try my luck again with another person, until I strike gold and get it replaced?

Jul 25, 2010I made a purchase for a black bumper and paid $31.60 but when I go to the Apple.com website to check the status of my refund its shows "There is no record of a refund for the receipt number you entered." I tried entering my receipt number plus last 4 of card and I also tried just entering the full CC number as well and get that response for both.
Just wanting to know if anyone has possibly experienced before, wanted to to see if any Macforum members have had this issue and what was the resolution to your issue? Should I just call Apple? Are they giving refunds in store if you take in your receipt?
