IPhone :: O2 Unlock / No Due To Data Protection Act

So i have decided to upgrade from 2g to 3gs. and bought a phone on ebay.the phone is perfect and works fine with my o2 contract seem card. However I want to unlock it so i can use sims when abroad. Filled the form with O2 i did when i was unlocking my 2g. However O2 said that since the IMEI is registered to a different user they cannot unlock it due to data protection act. they told me to tell the original owner to contact them and do it instead. Any ideas if they have the right to refuse me? I am no lawyer so i am just trying to figure out if i am a bit screwed or if they are being difficult about it.

I had a 3gs locked to Tele2/Sweden. I bought an unlock for using the phone to Tre. It worked fine when syncing with iTunes but the cellular data want work with Tre. Itunes said the phone now is unlocked but I´m blody ****** paying 30eur for nothing. An old Nokia 3120 is better.

I'll run through all the information I have and everything I've tried. I have a Verizon IPhone 4S, internationally unlocked, using an international sim card When I first moved to China, everything worked fine. Now that I'm thinking back, I'd say that the first time I noticed problems connecting to wifi was after getting a local 3G sim card for my phone. Since then, I've been able to see wifi networks fine, but get incorrect password everytime I've input them.

recently got moved to kuwait and wanted to keep using my blackberry storm 2. so i got the unlock code and unlocked it. after that i got a pre-paid SIM and phone and sms works great, connected to 3g and everything but anytime i try to use something that requires internet it says i need a wifi connection to do that. when i got the pre-paid the guy at the phone shop said it would work with blackberry internet and email. is there a setting i'm missing?

I havent seen a wishlist for iOS so far, at least not a relevant one. So I figured that we can add things with time. I wish a quick on/off button/shortcut/app for the password protection lock. Its time consuming to always have it on and it takes too much effort to turn it on and off. On/Off Shortcut on mainscreen for Password Protection?

I am already unlocked and rooted, but I would like to relock the bootloader assuming that I can unlock it for future updates without losing data. The Nexus 5 had a boot locker app in the App Store which allowed this, but I do not find an option for the 6 P.

I have a L....O.....N.....G story and it's complicated so I'm just going to try and get bits and pieces and see if i can guess what the puzzle is about.my neighbor tossed his BB 8300, my direction.the lil gizmo that scrolls is bad but sorta still works
the keyboard is too small but works better than my phone keypad for text
the screen is bigger than my current phone.best of all, the FONT size. I can see it without a mag glass
1 how can I un-lock it (at&t)
2 can I get prepaid through Tmobile and use this for basic phone/text and NOT use a "data" plan.
I really just want a phone that I can see with a keyboard I can type text with.
Verizon (my current) has phones with big displays and keyboards but they have a greedy requirement of "data plan" for those phones.The best they will offer is a "Cosmos". Nice keyboard but tiny display. I asked a VZ rep here on CB and the guy got all bent and childish calling me names and such.Hey, I'm the one paying so why can't I get something I am happy with?

I had activated the screen lock feature for my mobile. I had used fingerprint detection and the password method. I discovered that if the password is entered wrong 5 times, the phone erases all the data on the phone as well as the memory card. I want to disable this feature.When the password is entered wrong 5 times. It should just not allow the user to enter password for another 5 minutes.

has anyone found an effective screen protector for their touchscreen? The original nokia film that came with my 5530 is pretty scratched up and so i decided to buy one off ebay.
Baaaad choice! There is just no way of putting it on the phone without any air bubbles and even then you have to make a custom cut around the sensor, so as not to block it. Even after i managed to do that, there was a small piece of tape sticking to the film, which you're suppose to remove after stickin it to the screen. That tape left such a horrible mark on the film that i just ripped the film out.I was just wondering if anybody bought a cover that works or managed to apply it without the air bubbles? I'm afraid to buy one of those leather casings with a plastic screen as I've read that some users have problems with their sensor because of that.

I downloaded kapersky mobile protection from Nokia Suite. It now says that the license has run out. When I try to delete it, it asks for a code that I don't remember ever being given. Does any know the code, Just want to get rid of it now, as I didn't find it that good.
