Aug 19, 2014I have loads of people in my contacts who have signed up on the day for newsletters/specials etc. When a customer asks to be removed from our distribution list, I always cut their contact details from the mobile and email fields and paste into their notes. This way, when I send out an update to everyone on the list, the contact doesn't receive it but I still have their details if they need me to contact them personally. I do this cut and paste on my 5s (OS up to date), on Outlook 2013 (Windows 8.1) and iCloud.Â
The problem I've been having lately is that when I sync my iPhone with iTunes (up to date), it somehow puts the more recent contacts' phone number and email back into the fields on both iPhone and Outlook. I have been doing this for a long time and have quite a few regular customers who opted out a while ago. Their fields are empty and their contact details are in their notes.

Nov 24, 2012I have a BB Curve 9300. It was updated yesterday to connect with the Blackberry server at work. After the IT person had done this, so that my BB is now synched with my work Outlook program, I found that I had all my work contacts in the BB and had lost all the personal contacts which had been on the BB before he got to work on it. They had not been backed up. I guess tehre's no way to restore them is there? I then backed up my wife's BB contacts from her old Curve 8320 onto my Mac using the BB desktop software. But when I tried to restore that data to my BB, it said that it was a read-only database and could not be restored.

Sep 13, 2010Somehow I lingered over the delete too long or something and the confirm came up for one of my contacts. I rolled down to cancel, but after I clicked it jumped back up to delete and removed my contact. Currently, I do not have a back up of my database as it has been a bit more difficult than with my last phone and computer. Let's face it.... I've been procrastinating in tacking the project!
Does anyone know if it is possible to retrieve this contact? I figure the info still has to be somewhere on the phone..

Wheni compose an email the first two letters of his email pop up.Exmaple. in the compose an email field I want to write an email to GD-George Dunn so i type GD and the email address of a deleted contact Gemma Dirosso (Gdirosso@gail.com) pops up first. I had deleted her on my bb and outlook yet only her email address pops up. They can see my invitation, accept it so that I show as a contact on their BBM, but the status remains pending on my phone & I don't receive their messages.
BBM works fine for all of my contacts. I have tried deleting them as a contact, inviting them by PIN no, scanning barcodes.

May 17, 2012When I delete an email on my computer, in Outlook, it does not delete it on my iPhone. However, if I delete an email on my iphone, it will be deleted on my computer's Outlook. When I open an email, in either place, it will show up as read in both. This is whole issue is also taking place with my iPad. Motorola Xoom :: Pictures Deleted In Gallery Partially Deleted?
May 18, 2011I have deleted 4 pictures in the gallery app from the sdcard/pictures directory. I exited the gallery and returned some time later and ther is now a seperate album showing 4 pictures with no thumbnail and the won't open. These blank pics have the same file names as the ones deleted and are stored in the same directory. Getting info on these pics shows the original file size and name, but with a resolution of 0x0 and they can't be opened. Exploring the sdcard/pictures directory with file explorer does not show the 4 files in question.
Update- I shut down my Xoom and restarted. Launched the Gallery app. The blank picture album appeared momentarily and then disappeared.
