When I woke up this morning, my screen said "iPhone must cool down before you can use it.". My back flash was on as well and won't go off and my screen will not touch. I need to know what the problem is.

Bought a Blackberry 8520. So far there is a load of things about this device that annoys the **bleep** out of me, I think if I see that 'wait watch' any more I'll bounce this thing off a wall. I can run one, maybe two apps before the phone start slowing down and I'm seriously sick of having to pull the battery out. Now having found those specs; theoretically that is enough computing power to run a full blown desktop OS, so what does it run like an old dog? I have an old iPaq H5500 that blows my Blackberry out of the water in almost every area (except being able to make phone calls of course). I had an LG phone years ago that supported a 3G connection. I can only put the performance of this device download incredibly bad programming. The OS seems to do almost no garbage collection at all; and I've recently read that this model isn't going to get a new OS ... fantastic. I really do feel like I've been robbed. A friend who has never used a smart phone before started looking at Blackberry as his first smart phone and I've advised against it. If I had never used a smart phone before I would probably think this device was quite good but since I had already previously used Android, iOS and Windows Mobile devices I am seriously disappointed with the Blackberry. I am shocked that RIM is managing to compete with other smart phone manufacturers (or are they competing?).So after all that I am calling out to any 8520 users. Is there any way to make this device run to an acceptable standard?

I followed the instructions including the "don't unplug the device if you ever want it to work again" segment.All was going well until I got to step 10 of 12 (Loading Applications) It has now been trying to load applications for over 3 hours, with no advancement in the status bar at the bottom of the screen. My Desktop manager says it is disconnected, but I'm not sure how or when that happened. My screen is white with the computer and the BB and a pair of arrows, but nothing has happened for hours.I'm afraid to disconnect incase I lose everything on my BB and render it unusable!

I've checked the forum, found out some ideas, and tried them today.Then: GPS off, Internet connexion off, Bluetooth off. Battery still empties very quickly, just a bit more than 3h with only 2 small calls. This is simply not acceptable. Should I change it? How to handle that!

I get practically zero signal from ATT in my building so my phone's only communication is done over our wireless. Well, when my phone locks, the WiFi disconnects basically crippling the PUSH feature of Exchange email. It is spectacularly aggravating when emails dont show up on the phone within a few minutes of arriving in my Inbox and even more aggravating when I am not at my desk and an important email comes through. I have not found a way to do so, so I turn to the all knowing people here.

My iPhone 4 doesn't seem to be keeping a full charge. My phone never used to do this, and I'm not sure what's the cause of it. Every couple of nights or so, I'll plug my phone in to charge before I go to bed, generally the battery's down to 30% most of the time due to using it throughout the day for work and whatnot. Anyway, before I head to bed, I'll plug it in and turn it off. And when I'd wake up the next day, I'd unplug my phone and turn it back on, the battery would be at 100%, and it'd be good to go for the entire day.
But here lately, it hasn't been doing that. I'll plug my phone in before bed, turn it off, and when I wake up the next day to take it off the charger, it'll be at anywhere between 93-97%. And I don't know if it's just me, but sometimes it feels as though the battery's life goes down much faster when it's not at 100%, but maybe that's just my imagination or something. And when I keep my phone on the charger once I've turned it on, it'll get up to 100% after a while.
Like I mentioned before, this has only been a recent thing, and has started doing this maybe about a month or so ago. Needless to say, it's rather frustrating. It's not difficult to deal with, just a bother more than anything else.

My old iphone wasn't keeping a charge so we purchased a new one. Everything was moved off old phone to new iphone through itunes.
Then my brand new phone wouldn't keep a charge either. I took it into apple store today and ws told it was a software glitch. I told I need toload iphone as new instead of a move, but we don't know how to do that now thaat we ar home.

My brother has just had a new iPhone 4g. He has got me to set it up for him now Is it something I am doing or is it a fault with the new iPhone ( 4g) , as every time I take a photo using the camera it shows in the bottom left hand corner for a few seconds but then it disrepair's the bottom left hand corner goes blank.So I go look look I click the photo's app no photo's at all nothing the app just closes.Nothing shows where as my friends wouands how three folders Camera Roll / Photo Libary and iPhone WallPapers.If it is a setting that needs turning on in the setting could you please let me know.Now I know there is an update for the phone his is v5.0.1. View 19 Replies View RelatedSo I popped into a local Radio Shack today and got my name put on a waiting list. the guy says to me that he wants to make sure I know that I will have to change to one of the new data plans when I upgrade. I told him that I was under the impression that existing iphone users who upgrade can keep their unlimited data plan that they already have. He told me when he's been activating them for people, the system has forced him to change their data plans to one of the new ones.Anyone else seen this? I sure as heck don't want to give up my unlimited data plan if I upgrade to the iphone 4.
View 5 Replies View RelatedSo my question is pretty straight forward, I have tried searching the internet for a week now and haven't found anyone in the same perdicament that I find myself in at this moment. I have aquired a Powerbook G4 that I am wanting to use to sync my iPhone to. Moving from a Windows desktop I find this solution to be better for myself if I can figure out how to do this with minimum fuss.
I have moved iTunes libraries around on Windows computers before, but those computers have had ample Hard Drive space to store my entire iTunes library and it all worked like a champ. The problem that I face now is that my laptop doesn't have enough hard drive space to store the entire iTunes library locally. The items that I do sync to my phone are able to be stored locally, apps, music, podcasts... videos and tv shows which I only use with AppleTv will need to continue to reside on my desktop.
So now for the question.. I have used home sharing to transfer all of my apps, ringtones, podcasts, audiobooks, books, and music to my laptop but everytime I try to set my phone up to sync with the laptop make it truely mobile I am confronted with the dreaded "All data will be erased" message. I do not want this I have years of data in some apps, dvd collections, auto maintenance on my family's automobiles, financial transactions etc. etc. Is there anyway to accomplish what I am wanting to accomplish without losing this data? Ideally I would like to keep my app folders as well as my settings and logins for all of my apps, but I could probably manage if I lost them. I have no other option than to stay tethered to my desktop for my IPhone management which is highly inconvenient.
My Mac is running 10.5.8, iTunes 10.6.1, iPhone 4s running iOS 5.1. I do have icloud setup and backing up to icloud as well as locally if that makes a difference.

Why is there no discussion group for the iOS operating system? Granted that there are different flavors on the various hardware platforms but isn't there also a lot in common? I noticed if disabling this cloud synchronization, there is a message that says it would delete the local copies. I got an new old stock iPhone4 from a relative a couple of days ago and am now trying to set it up. Everything went smoothly until I tried connecting it to the computer. When I hook it up, iTunes tells me that the iPhone will only work with iTunes 11.1 or later versions. I have a Macbook Pro (not too old, Duocore, 4Gb Ram, etc.) with MacOS X 10.5.8. Apparently I can't install iTunes 11.1 or any later version on my operating system and I really don't want to upgrade to a new operating system just for my iPhone. View 12 Replies View RelatedIssue with google+ keeping phone awake for way too long? This morning I unplugged my phone around 730 then fell back asleep until 9. When I checked my phone it was at 88%. I looked at the usage and although google+ was at a low % it had kept my phone awake since I unplugged.
Just to clarify, by awake, I don't mean screen on. It kept the phone from going to sleep when I turned the screen off and went back to bed. I immediately disabled the app, as I don't use it anyway, and the battery is back to normal, I think. Also, I have all the auto-backup options turned off on google+ so why it was kept awake for so long.
I had my previous Torch replaced due to fault, since then despite all other functions operating correctly I cannot BBM my family in Canada (on the old torch it was fine)> Local BBMs are OK.
I am on the same contract as before I have contacted Orange but to no avail.
My new 9900 will not keep it's network connection even though the signal is full. Once the connection is re-turned on it lasst about a minute before it goes 'off". I cant use the phone!!! the network assures me that the problem is not on their side...phone is brand new!
