IPhone :: Is There A Preference Somewhere Where I Can Choose And Keep The Home Wifi As Favorite
Apr 28, 2012
The iphone prefers to join a BT Fon hotspot rather than our own wifi network. The BT fon is really slow and I have to manually alter the WIFI every time. Is there a preference somewhere where I can choose and keep the home wifi as favorite?
how do i change the numbers on the favorites widget on the home screen? i added them once and I cannot change them, even if I remove the widget, add it again, or add other contantcs in the contact list to favourites. the 4 widget favourites are still the same.
I recently bought a new VW GTI. I'm a software engineer and I'm very well versed in my iPhone and it's operation. My car maintains 2 external connections with my phone. My hands free phone requires the use of bluetooth. For my stereo, I perfer the MDI to dock connector for the audio quality. Here is the following problem I experience.
I turn on my stero to the MDI input interface Listen to music, and use Waze to navigate Receive a phone call, which initiates the bluetooth audio out End the phone call
Audio out is now set to bluetooth. It does not return to the MDI output interface, as a result my stero doesn't work.
I've gone digging through all my settings, but I can't find anything relevant to what I want. Basically I want to set my audio device output preference order. My device order would be the following.
MDI Interface VW Bluetooth Headphones/Speakers
Is it possible to to this or something similar with my iPhone?
I have just upgraded my Nokia N73 to the E72 and am very very disappointed with the picture quality of the camera.
It does not appear to be the same quality as the Carl Zeiss lens of my old N73 and many pictures seem to be out of focus. It has annoying habit of when i try to take a quick snap of continually asking me to chose a shooting mode and the therefore the moment has gone. I also use this camera function for my work and unless I can find advice on taking better quality pics then it will have to go back.Is mine a faulty unit or is there a knack of taking a picture without the camera moving which I think is causing part of the problems.

I was going to get a custom SMS tone because everyone I know uses tri-tone. I was wondering, what are your favorites SMS tones that you're using on your iPhone?
Up until recently I've had no issues with my iPhone 4, however, as of late, the phone can't detect my home WiFi network. I have several other devices that can find and connect to the network without issue, and have power cycled the router to be sure. the issue is most definately with the phone itself. iPhone has no issues connecting with public WiFi networks at McDonalds, Starbucks, nor the Airport. As far as iPhone is concerned, there is no WiFi networks to connect to in my home. I can't remember if this issue began before or after I installed 5.1 on my phone. I'd like to try all avenues before fully resetting the phone, as I have alot of data, settings and un-backed-up photographs, documents, etc. I'd rather not risk losing. So far, I have reset the phone (Hold Home and Power until phone resets.), Reset network settings, turned the phone on and off both with WiFi turned on and off to no avail. For the record, I have searched out and read alot of threads on this issue, and tried many if not all of the suggestions contained therein. Most of these issues pertain to iPhone not detecting ANY networks, or detecting but not connecting.
All of a sudden I cannot connect to my home wifi, nor home wifi at my daughters house. It finds the connection right away, but after putting in the password, I immediately get a message "unable to connect to ......" I have tried connecting to free wifis at public places and it connects fine. The password on mine has not been changed, nor has my daughters?
My iphone doesn't stay connected to my home wifi. Anywhere else it stays connected no problem but it never seems to work at home. It's always got a spinning wheel infront of the network. I've tried to 'forget' the network and re-sign up but it has not helped.
I bought an iphone 4s yesterday, and last night I connected to wifi at a friend's house. This morning, when I tried to connect it to my home wifi, it wouldn't work. I've tried changing the wifi setting in my phone, and turning my router on and off, and resetting the wifi settings in the phone.
I have a D-Link DIR-825 Xtreme N Dual Band Gigabit Router connected to my Telus high speed modem at home. The router has been set up for WPA-2 security with a 63-character passphrase. A 17" Macbook Pro (2010) (built-in Airport) and a homebuilt PC (2011) running Windows 7 (D-Link DWA-160 Xtreme N Dual Band USB Adaptor) are able to connect to the router. I have copied the same passphrase to the Notes section of my iPhone 4S and then tried to connect to the network. Passphrase is correct. Connection times out and says it was not able to connect.
Ive tried all the steps they give you on here... its my first iphone and im alredy so disapointed that im having this much trouble my old ipod touch conects not problem what with my new iphone..
I have just recently bought an iphone 4, however it wont connect to my home wifi. when i select my bt-homehub from the networks the circle just keeps spinning as if its loading, everything else like laptops etc are connected to the wifi so it cant be my hub, and when i go to a friends house and to the phones4u shop my iphone connects to their wifi and has a tick beside it so i know its connected and has the wifi signal in the top left hand corner whereas when im home my iphone has an E in the top left corner, My mum is able to go on wifi using her samsung phone. ive tried resetting everything and turning my iphone on and off and ive called my internet provider and they say everythings fine with the wifi hub.
I have iphone 4s,,in the last 2 days my iphone cannot recognize any wifi network,,I reset all settings nothing happened,,,also I cannot shut it down ,it just restart .
I have tried both turning on and off the wifi on the phone. I have done the forget this network and reinput the wep password, I have reset the router 3 times. I am sitting next to the router and my macbook pro ( which is connecting with no problem) I have input the wep password perfectly.
My iPhone will not connect to my home wifi. My iPad is connected and my husbands phone is connected. My cell phone gives me the error message it is unable to locate my wifi address. Do I have an incorrect setting? How do I connect?
so, lately my phone started acting up whenever it comes to connecting to my home wifi.
this problem started not long ago. when im standing right next to the router it connects. but if i move a step away i start losing signa;. so even if im in the room with the router i barely get any wifi (while all the other devices work even from outside the house)Â
but when im out it connects to other wifi's (eg the McDonals wifi) and it works perfectly
i reset my network settings& restored my iphone but it didnt solve anything.
