Like I know if you're in a car say, with a few other people and your powering their devices internet it's cool. But let's say you all get out of the car and leave in different directions let's say at a mall somewhere; How far will your iphone 4 hotspot go on powering your homie's devices? Is there a specific limit like 50 feet, or a 100 feet?

I have an iPhone 4 on 3 UK, with unlimited data and unlimited tethering. I also have an LG smart tv, but no Wifi dongle with it, just standard RJ45 ethernet port.
Can I use my iPhone as a hotspot, connected to my laptop either via Wifi or USB, and set up an Ad-hoc network on the laptop to allow my tv internet access via ethernet cable? The laptop is running on windows 7 if that makes any difference.

Ok just received a brand new iPhone 4 from fedex opened it synced it and tried to add an image for background and Lock screen. View 6 Replies View RelatedI have intermittent sound problems with with iPhone 4 S. When I am receiving a call I hear no ringtone. I also hear no sounds when I am using apps. I do however have sound when I am playing music or using Siri. I haven't had problems with hearing calls or people hearing me during the call duration.
Any suggestions??

I was one of the very first to successfully place the pre-order for the iphone4.It was early Tuesday morning around 7:45. I had zero issues and it all went through in 1 attempt.It also states on the confirmation that it should arrive around June 24.Now I have decided I no longer want the iPhone4 and will be picking up an EVO tomorrow. I called ATT to cancel the iPhone order and she said it is already processed and possibly en route so she could not cancel it, but that I would just need to refuse shipment or if I receive it, simply ship it back for a full refund.
Do I refuse shipment? Or do I list this mfer on ebay for a premium (800-1000) and when I get the phone just tell ATT to shove it and charge me the $325 cancellation fee? Can I do this? Is there any other penalty in doing this? Like will it affect my credit or anything like that?

It won't sync the contacts and emails. So I can back up the curve contact list to the apple address book, export it and then import into the iphone.But it doesnt touch the contacts in Entourage. I was always using on other phones with Android 2.2 FroYo that 3G mobile hotspot feature, which was included right in the Android system under Wireless Networks settings.Now in Defy there is no option like that under settings in FroYo. Defy includes own app called 3G Mobile Hotspot, which should work like that option for creating mobile WiFi hotspots in other Android phones. But here is the problem.On my older phone with Android 2.2 I could create 3G WiFi hotspot wherever I needed and it worked. But now, with Defy, when I use that application 3G Mobile Hotspot, it writes me error when creating WiFi hotspot "Cannot set up data link, please contact your service provider" I suppose it is something with my carrier (Vodafone_CZ), but when I used 3G WiFi hotspots on older phones (which had that feature included right in Android settings menu) it worked without problems and I a used mobile phone for 3G internet sharing with my laptop.Now I remember, that I have deleted some DUN profile under APN Internet profiles, could it be that problem, that 3G Mobile Hotspot app is not working?how to create WiFi hotspot on my Defy for example with some other app?Or if not, how can I use Internet Tethering in Defy Mobile Networks menu via Bluetooth (my laptot has BT). I upgraded Facebook on my Tour, and now I can't log in to Facebook on my phone.
After the upgrade, I clicked my Facebook App and enter my email and password, and after clicking "login" I receive the message "We are unable to connect to the Facebook server at this time (0)".
I have uninstalled and reinstalled the App, and taken out an replaced the battery but it still won't work.
I successfully managed to setup my Vista laptop with my BlackBerry device to be able to surf the internet with it. What would I have to do to browse an internal webserver via the MDS connection? I do not mean via the internet because this intranetserver is not reachable from the internet.
