I set a 'word' password for my lock screen, meaning, to unlock the phone, you have to type in a word password and not numbers, and I spelled the password wrong when setting it and now I'm locked out. How do I change the password?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI hated the screen lock on my G5 ( only had it on one day)so tried to get rid of it - typed in password - then I tried an option and it asked me to type in password again and confirm 2nd time. Maybe I tapped in something wrong which didn't match ( did it without my glasses) - but it annoyingly said wrong password now and keeps saying it's the wrong password. What now? I can't find anywhere how to turn screen lock or password off or to reset/forgotten password or the like. Who can I get in touch with if problem is bad. I don't want to factory reset and all that malarky. I've had the phone for nearly a year on my contract and what the hell made me do this stupid thing I don't know. There should be a caution warning on it. Is my phone going to lock me out once the lock sets in if I don't use the phone for 5mins or whatever the activation time was?

I changed my Apple ID to correspond with my new email address, and when I did the password for the account stopped working on my iPhone even though I only changed the account name, not the password. It doens't verify my Phone Number, only able to use my Apple ID to send iMessages, so my girlfriend, recieves my iMessages, from my email address.FaceTime was working, I didn't touch it at all, I left it alone.today I actually restored it, TWICE. Twice because I backed it up for the first restore, and than the second restore, I restored it as a whole entire new iPhone, and still, my iPhone isn't registering my iMessage with my Phone Number, my carrier is Verizon, I've gone all through the Forums, did pretty much EVERYTHING on here that you could think of, I've even left it off for a good couple of hours, and re-tried it, I've left it to switch on over night, and it failed to turn on it says.
