IPhone :: Facetime Not Include IChat-AV On New IP?
Jun 7, 2010Why didn't they include iChat-AV on the new iPhone, don't understand it. Does that mean you can only do Facetime by calling somebody but not just using the WiFi?

I love Apple stuff and since getting my first iPhone I have never looked back. Now several years later I am an apple convert and would never go back to any other mobile or computing device. One thing has surprised me however, and that is the latest incarnation of my trusty iPhone. Apple have introduced iMessage, which enables you to cmunicate in real time with iPod and iPad users, but this seems to fall short. With iMessage (and a free iCloud account), Apple could have had a fully integrated, native iChat app that would have enabled real time communication across all iOS and OS X devices. Furthermore; by tieing in FaceTime and the contact list, Apple could have turned iMessage into a full-blown Instant Messaging application. Why has Apple not done this and is anyone else surprised that they have not?

View 6 Replies View RelatedTime to buy a new one.The amorphous metal alloys developed by Liquidmetal Technologies may be used in the design and development of Apple’s next generation wireless antenna, according to Liquidmetal founder Dr. Atakan Peker. In an interview with Cult of Mac, Dr. Peker notes that the properties of Liquidmetal make is an excellent substrate for usage as an antenna and could be one of many reasons Apple signed a broad licensing deal with the California company.Described as a metallic glass, the various alloys used in Liquidmetal offer a high strength to weight ratio, high wear resistance, and a low softening temperature that allows it to be molded into complex shapes and designs. Liquidmetal technology is already used in a wide variety of consumer products including sports equipment like golf clubs and skis, jewelry, and in electronics where it makes its appearance in the casings of USB thumb drives, MP3 players, and mobile phones. It is also used in the antenna of the Verizon USB727 wireless modem, which is known for its excellent reception. Surprise, surprise, Apple already uses this novel technology in its newly released Magic Trackpad.URL...

View 4 Replies View RelatedOn my previous Android, I used to have to manually activate GPS separately from WiFi when using MAPS ... I don't see such a setting anymore. That implies to me that GPS is now automatically turned on when Location Services is on & I bring up Google Maps for navigation.. Is that true?
View 1 Replies View RelatedIt mentions in the new Ovi Maps 3.03 that it has new features compared to the previous version 3.01. Which includes Events, Weather, Lonely Planet guide and Michelin guide.
I've installed the new Ovi Maps 3.03 on my Nokia E72, and I got the Events, Weather and Lonely Planet guide.
However, there's no Michelin Guide on my Ovi Maps 3.03.
I also notice that the PDF documentation has 2 versions, one for the non-touch GPS phones (eg. E52/E55/E72) and another for touch GPS phones (eg. 5800 XM, N97 mini).I am guessing that the Michelin Guide is only present on the Touch version phones (5800 XM and N97 Mini). Could any users who have installed the new Ovi Maps 3.03 confirm if this is correct? Kindly indicate your phone model and whether you have Michelin Guide included with the new Ovi Maps...

View 6 Replies View RelatedAccording to your website (url...), ICS build .587 was released for my device on 2012-08-16, over 2 months ago. My phone, which is already updated to ICS build .431, still has not received .587. Over 2 months to release a MINOR update? Really Sony? What's more, .587 doesn't include a fix for the broken LED notifications? You don't fix the most talked about bug on your forums in the next ICS release? I'm not buying your excuses. My phone is unlocked, unbranded, bought sim free. over 2 months (and counting) to release a minor update is unbelievable. You have failed at this whole ICS software release, and for that reason, I will be looking elsewhere for my next phone.

View 1 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone else think RIM should make a new Bold 9000 series keep it the same size as the original with same screen size just maybe improve the resolution, add a trackpad and give it a better camera. Plus more RAM and all the other goods.
I would definitely buy this product. I always feel awkward when playing with a bold 9700 just seems too small.
