Aug 28, 2014Both devices are up to date and on wifi. FaceTime is activated in the settings. I've restarted both devices. If I make a face time call the other person can hear me but I can't hear them unless I mute my microphone. So then to respond to them I have to unmute my mic, respond, then quickly mute again to hear their response. I'm having to do this with both devices. The process is the same with speaker phone, ear buds, or Bluetooth device.

Mar 22, 2012Trying to use face time to video conf from Iphone4 (not 4s) to IPad3. There is great video but no audio on iphone4 reception. IPad3 is picking up both video and audio from iphone4. Is this a user problem or is it a known problem with fix pending or for that matter? If user problem, how can I adjust Iphone to accept the audio?

Jun 22, 2010I have missed the 24th preorder date and I was wondering if by any chance even 1 in million manage to get on hold of a payg iphone 4 (uk) from a carrier like orange, 3 etc. Is there a difference having an officially unlocked iphone from apple vs an ultrasn0w etc. unlock device?? (other than any ethical/moral issues ). Any specific stuff that I will not be able to perform with such an unlock?, any downsides like slowdowns (if it’s a 24/7 background running service etc) ?
I know that O2 official unlock iphones for $15, but I haven’t found any certain info on the other carriers. (note: the phone will not be used to UK at all, so some proposed actions from carriers like: “use the phone for 3 months with the carrier and then ask for an unlock” will not work in my case.)

Feb 4, 2010If i had the money to buy an iPad id want to put it into my dashboard of my car. That would have been a better idea for apple to market the iPad. That way you can have a music player, gps, maps, watch videos, not sure what else but on a big screen like that in the car would be nice. I think iphone and ipod touch are too small to use in the car. I dont know why apple didnt think of doing this in the first place. Be able to put it and detatch it from the dashboard cuz you wouldnt wanna leave it in the car. Another good thing to use it as would be like an mpc with intua beatmaker app if you make music. It would be way cheaper than buying an mpc. What would be some other good uses for it?

Apr 23, 2010I am sure that someone here has figured out how to do this. I have a WiFi iPad, a 3Gs iPhone running 3.1.3 and baseband 5.12.01. I also have the older 3G iPhone with no SIM. I want to get 3G access through either one of these phones or perhaps get an Android based phone that can be rooted. So my questions are:
Is it possible for me to get a SIM to put into my older iPhone 3G and then use it on my current Rogers plan in which I have the 6GB data plan? Rogers says no.
I understand that there is no current jailbreak for the 3GS that I have. Will I be able to purchase a Droid phone and then root it as per the instructions here http://www.notebooks.com/2010/04/22/...nnected-to-3g/
Any other suggestions?

Apr 23, 2010Chinese pianist Lang Lang headlined a concert at San Francisco's Davies Symphony Hall on April 19th. For the first of three encores, he played The Flight of the Bumblebee on an iPad. To accomplish this, he used the Magic Piano iPad app. This is just one example of how amazing apps can allow people to do amazing things, and the party has just started.
[To clarify, the Magic Piano app does do a lot of the work in playing a piece like that; it drops down indicators for the correct notes, so the pianist has to get 'pretty close' and have the rhythm correct. Still impressive
