I dropped my phone maybe 6 inches off the floor, I have just been on the phone to orange for an hour or so and he was very helpful but i never did a back up on itunes so hey ho. I started saving the numbers i knew which the phone allowed but 5 minutes later my contacts list was empty again. Is there something that has broken internally when i dropped it?

I took my phone into apple today as it was broken, I was still under warrenty so knew i would be given a new handset so ensured i backed all my pictures and contacts on itunes. I have got home and spent all night trying to put everything back onto my new phone, but my pictures and contacts don't seem to be there. I backed up my phone thro Itunes as it wanted me to upgrade to os 5.1.1 followed instructions and it backed up with it's own password (god knows from where) so now it asks me for a password that I dont know. so HTC sent me another m8 after my last had the volume rocker pop out.
I backed up my first phone and then restored the new phone from that backup minutes later. Everything appears exactly as how i had it on the old m8, except my contacts and hangouts are doing this weird thing.
1. my google contacts are loading 141 people into my phone book. My google contacts in gmail, however, have only 85 people allotted for my phonebook in "my contacts" and my old device only displayed those 85.
2. Hangouts lists both the SMS and Hangouts convos separately, so that one contact (bob) is listed in a convo as both bob and bob with an "sms" icon in white over the bottom right of his profile picture.
My husband and I bought a new iMac. He plugged in his iPhone first and named it and downloaded his photos. I plugged mine in and somehow by accident backed it up as if it was his phone, and now my phone is exactly like his...any way to reverse this??

I have a weird problem in my Galaxy SII. Have searched a lot about this problem, but looks like nobody has faced this before.hen I open my contact list (or the message list) and then press the back button, they don't close. I have to press the home button to come out of them forcefully. I then can kill the messaging app by going in task manager but there is no such option for contact list. This problem occurs only for contact list and message list. Rest all apps I am able to close by pressing back button.

When I did, I started the activation process, but never got prompted to restore from iCloud, just from my last backup in iTunes. I've run the restoration, and the backup was pretty out of date. I have a 5800 that I have been troubleshooting for the past Month. We have been to the provider who has now replaced the phone twice in the past two months. Calling out appears to be fine. However when customizing the phone I am unable to set picture and a ringtone to a contact in the contact list. The Contact is saved on the phone. When the person dials in the picture will display correctly but the ringtone will play a default ring not a custom file as selected. This has heppened on all 3 of the phones. I am down to the OS of the phone which the provider says is up to date.

After finishing the call, the screen goes back to main menu.... but the contacts-app sticks active in the background. In order to close that, i have to long-press the button, switch to contacts, and close. Which is a little bit fussily.....

Context:I have 2 primary sources of contact information on my blackberry, my personal (gmail contacts) and my work contacts (via google apps). I would like to keep these contact lists separate and apart from one another, but accessible if required. However, as this device is primarily for work, I'd like to not have my personal contacts appearing every time i open the Contacts app. The effect I am trying to achieve is after opening contacts --> click menu --> click "Select Contact List..." --> and choosing one.Is there a way to save this as a preference/default so I don't have to filter each time i open my contact list?
