IPhone :: Keeps Changing Carriers With Automatic Carriers Turned Off?
Apr 10, 2012My iphone keeps changing carriers with auto carriers turned off. It's only just started doing this since the latest software update. I have an orange contract so I'm able to switch between orange and T-mobile on my contract as both companies have merged. The problem is I can only get 3G on one where I live and it keeps changing to the other network that I don't want to choose.

Nov 9, 2012I bought a original packed SIM-lock-free Bold9900 and discovered that it is a German Telekom locked device. How can this be ? As a Vodafone customer this Bold9900 is completly useless - Vodafone cannot connect my Bold9900 and I see the T of Telekom Why does RIM not have a quality assurance ? All my friends - most of them are not iPhone fans - are laughing about me because I am / was stil a Blackberry fan.

May 10, 2012I'm planning on bying an iPhone 4S in an Apple Store in the US. However, I live in Germany.I'm going to get an unlocked one (that is to say SIM lock free) and was just going to use my German SIM card from my german contract.Do you know if that's possible? I wasn't quite sure of what to make of the CMDS-carrier thing Apple wrote about the usability out of the US. In Germany we don't have different kind of carriers. There is no real equivalent to AT&T or Verizon in the States.What about the frequencies? Does the American iPhone support european frequencies?

Jun 15, 2010I'm kinda Getting Pissed Of With UK carriers ATM, so far 02 is the only one who is made the slightest of efforts, Announcing there tariffs, But People today like me here in the UK have Pre-ordered there iP4, dont know yet how much deposit 02 will charge for the tariffs they want, we should know this already!As for the Other carriers, there has been no official word from anyone yet, not a string, Vodafone seem to peeking out, but common! the iPhone is released in 9 days, and us Uk'ers are sitting here like lemons waiting to know the things we should already know by now, so we can get prepared for the 24th release!

BB Bold 9700 :: Lock Button Not Working / Installed New OS Software V.5.0.0.593
May 12, 2010Today I was trying to lock my phone having installed the new OS (5.0.0.593) and when I press my functioning lock button (i.e. not physically broken) it puts the phone in standby, not locking it. I have a password and if I lock my phone that screen usually comes up. Whats the point if it doesn't lock? I've pressed the standby key and that doesn't lock it either. In a moment of desperation i assigned the left convenience key as a lock button, but I would love to have it at the top as normal.

I received a txt message from vodafone back in june that said to restart the phone to receive updated vodafone sime menu service. I dont know if it worked because i'm not sure where the sim menu is on the n900 but i'm curious if this is what has introduced the menu options above.
I should mention at this point that when i was in the US earlier this year, i was able to stop my phone looking for a gsm signal and concentrate on wifi only. Now i can't seem to find an option to turn of gsm. When selecting the network from the phone menu, i only get Dual, 3G and GSM.i don't get the wifi option anymore, hence me asking if this operator lock has interfered with it.Has anyone else got this and if it wasn't vodaphone, what is this operator lock?

Under this warranty you should be able to receive a replacement set of the iPhone headphones if something stops working. In my case my microphone on my headphones stopped working, so I went into an apple store, met with a technician and traided out my iPhone headphones for what I though was a replacement pair of iPhone headphones. When I returned home I found that the headphones I was given were iPod headphones without the microphone or controls.

Jun 7, 2012I currently have a White iPhone 4S 16GB, at the time I purchased it through Verizon they had told me that I had to get the White version since the Black version was still out of stock. I figured that I can use the 14 day guarantee to my advantage so that when the Black version came back into stock I could just swap it out, well that wasn't the case at all since it didnt come back into stock in that time frame. So I'm stuck with a White iPhone at the moment when I really just want the Black iPhone. IPhone :: Messaging App Crashes After SSH File Swap
Feb 16, 2010I have two phones, one that I need to send back to apple and its replacement. I did a clean JB install on the new phone. I was wrongly under the impression that ANY restore, even from a backup, would kill the JB. so I saved my contacts, calendar, call history, and texting, files from the old phone to my desktop via SSH (ifunbox). Then I “ported” those saved files onto the new phone. Later I discovered that the phone app would not open, just kept crashing. While I could not open the phone app, I was able to receive calls, however, I had no phone tools like speaker phone or mute. I replaced the contact and call history files again (copied from the old phone) and that fixed the problem, although the contacts are now sorted by last name instead of first name which kinds sucks... Now I discovered that the messaging app crashes when I hit send. It will open fine, and it has all my texts in it, but crashes when I hit send. I just had a friend text me and I did not get the text.
Here is what I think I did wrong: I think, although I cannot be certain, that I may have put the files into the wrong directory. That is, I may have put them into var/mobile/library instead of private/var/mobile/library. The messaging app still works in the old phone, albeit without a sim card in it. I suppose I should just copy both these files again from the old phone and put them onto the new one, but since I am new at this, and do not have my ECID stored on cydia, I need to be VERY careful not to screw things up AGAIN lol or it will be 3.1.3 for me . So I need someone experienced to tell me how to best proceed??
