iPhone 4 on 4.0.1 jailbroken. I have Auto-Lock set to 1 minute and tried to change to Never since I was going to use cyberduck and didn't want to keep waking up the phone. Well the phone went to sleep after one minute and when I went into settings again to check it wouldn't load the page. Had to respring the phone and setting was back to normal except Auto-Lock was set back to 1 minute. I tried againg with same consequences.
BTW, i just updated to MobileSubstrate 0.9.3228-1 check to see if they can change their Auto-lock time on their iPhone 4.
I recently bought a factory unlocked iphone 4s straight from apple.com, i purchased a straight talk micro sim and my calls are working fine but it says in order to use my data i need to change my apn settings. in my phones settings i cannot access my apn settings. how do i change my apn settings on my factory inlocked iphone 4s running ios 5.1.1?
Is there something where I can disable auto lock when in certain apps? I.E.I am in the maps app and want the screen to stay lit until I close the maps? I am new to the jailbreaking scene so sorry if this has been asked(I searched too)
I bought a new IPhone, I have my location setting as UK by mistake but and i want to change it to United Arab Emirates as i can't download anything from Store unless i fill credit data or enter a valid Postcode.
I had an I phone 4s through work, I had all of my info sync on my computer, I bought a new Iphone and retrieved all of my data, but when i try to open i tunes or the app store it keeps asking my to log into my old work account and i can no longer log on to the work server how can i change my account settings for apple on my Iphone
I like having my screen locked in Portrait mode. If I view a landscape photo I want it displayed in landscape and let me rotate the phone, don't displace the landscape photo a s a portrait. I want to maximize the screen usage..
I am new to android phones, I cannot find the setting to enable or disable auto rotate. You would think that searching for the words "auto" or "rotate" might come up with something, but no dice...
Verizon 32 GB Nexus 6, stock no root. 5.1.1. It won't autorotate. Display setting is set to autorotate and Accessibility setting is set to autorotate but it won't. Multiple on/off reboots with settings off and on. Cleared system cache. I downloaded Check My Android and it shows all sensors active and working normally. I downloaded Set Orientation and it won't change automatically. I can force it to landscape mode using the app but have to do it manually. The camera takes a picture in portrait and displays it either upside down or in landscape.
I would like my auto signature within Outlook to also be my auto signature on my Curve 9300. This is for an Enterprise/work account, not anything else.
I dimmed my Xoom while reading a book in the Nook app. Ever since then, it wants to stay dim. I have repeatdly gone into the settings menu and rechecked 'auto' but it keeps reverting back.
If I have auto brightness enabled, I dock my phone, it goes into bedside mode, I pull it off the dock and auto-brightness no longer works. I need to tap the auto brightness icon on the power control widget for auto brightness to work again. The power control widget will say auto brightness is enabled the whole time, but it does not work until I tap it once after I pull my DROID3 off the dock.
I've seen a couple comments here and there re: the Phonton keyboard being "difficult", and I think those comments are completely warranted when you consider the settings Motorola / Sprint use as the phone ships. They ship it with Auto correct OFF! I came to this phone after 4+ years of blackberrying. I knew the soft keyboard was going to be an adjustment, but with the Photon it was REALLY bad out of the gate. I'd type something, see that I miss-typed it, then I'd have to select the correct word out of the list above the keyboard (assuming it had some idea of what I was after). Very tedious... So I went poking around in the settings and saw they had a auto-correct setting and it was turned OFF!
I've had my HTC one m8 for a month or so now, everything has been great till now, my phone won't auto lock. When there's a pop up notification from WhatsApp, the screen will remain lighted till I manually press the lock button. If I leave it on after surfing the net or doing anything else, it won't auto lock either.
I've tried setting the auto lock timer to screen timeout from 15 seconds to 2 minutes. All that seems to do is to dictate the time the screen takes to dim. But it never locks.
I've been googling ard and it doesn't seem like this is a common problem. I suspect it has to do with exposing my phone to a magnet.
I have a display dock and it is useless because every five minutes I have to get up and interact with the phone because there is no lock screen setting for "never". So if I listen to music for instance, it stops after five minutes.
I just made the switch from an iPhone to a Galaxy S6 yesterday and I couldn't be more excited, other than one problem. I have set up all four fingerprint options on the phone, and have set the screen lock type as fingerprints. When I lock the phone, however, the security option is just a swipe. I have already tried a soft reset and would prefer not to do a hard reset because I just finished uploading contacts and photos. I have even tried the other security options such as a pattern or a passcode and when I set those as my screen lock options its still just a swipe.
My E52 has proble. After enanled function phone auto lock period 30 mins, I could not disable it. When i goto phone autolock period, change, select NONE, then it appeared error: phone unable to unlock.I tried factory reset and reinstall software but still can not change. I have to enter lock code after every 30 mins phone unuse.
One of the best features with my BB is the auto lock (an app I downloaded). It would basically put it in standby mode after a few seconds of inactivity. This was key because it prevented it from going off in my pocket.
With the new OS, the app doesn't work. I know there is a similar function with the new OS, but it requires a 4-digit (?) password as opposed to a quick 2-button key press to unlock.
Why key pad auto lock will work if there is an active application at the front? Very annoying to me ifusing GPS and keypad will lock after some time? How can it be corrected?
after belle update, I am unable to set the Phone settings Phone autolock period to none. The maximum period it is allowing is 20 minutes. There is a none option, but system is not allowing me to select that option. I want to avoid the security code everytime the phone is locked.
