I've got a iPhone 4S factory unlocked. It's only a month old. When I put in my simcard it says either "No Service" or ".... TELIA 3G"
When there is no service I can't do anything but sometimes when I put on the flightmode and switch back I can get my carrier name and 3G, but still no phone service. I can go out on the web so the internet connection works but I cant make any calls and so on.
When I try another carrier in the phone, it works just fine! And there is nothing wrong with my simcard, because the card works in my iPhone 4.

Yesterday it just started looking for service in good coverage areas, but it works fine on my microcell. Have fully restored multiple times, and setup as new phone and still the same. I'm thinking the microcell is transmitting on a different frequency the the local towers and my radio is broken.

I made the mistake of buying my daughter an iphone 4 off of craigslist today. Normal story no available upgrades to use and needed to replace a phone. Had someone meet the seller and pick up the phone for me and when I received it found it to be doa. When powering up all I got was a dark blue screen and never comes out of it. After several hours of playing with it found that if I firmly press the top left corner of the screen the display comes on and everything works as it should but as soon as you let go of the corner it fades away and the screen is completely unresponsive.I did a full restore and still the same issue.

I dropped my iphone from waist level (it feel out of my pocket). It was in an otter box. There are no cracks or anything wrong with it other than my screen won't work. I can turn it off and it will ring with text messages and phone calls but i cannot see any of it. Is there a way to fix it without sending it back to apple?

After getting to work, I come to find out that my iPhone 6 has a black screen. Before that time, it worked just fine until I took it out of my pocket later this morning. The phone shows a black screen, but the buttons still work (the mute switch works; every time I mute it the phone vibrates). I tried connecting it to iTunes and it shows the phone. I assume that the screen has been bricked. I previously had a time where my phone was covered in rain water. Â iPhone 6 running the latest iOS

I have used the iPhone 4 (Factory Unlocked) for more than a year now with only minor issues. Like on a usual day I was playing a word game "Rumble" then quit the game, connected my earphones for music & pressed the "Home" button on the phone to unlock it and the screen was Black. This was a sudden shocker!! . I just put the phone to rest for a while & after about an hour crossed my fingers and tried the Home button again but the Black screen continued. So the backlight of the iPhone works I can say that bcoz I see the phone luminates but the "Slide to Unlock" is cannot be seen. Since I have been using the phone for a while I know the exact position of "Slide to Unlock" so if I slide my finger it unlocks too with the default "unlocking (click) noise" but again the icons of the apps cannot be seen, all I see is a fadely luminated grid. I receive SMS's and Calls although I cant read them nor can I see whos calling. Since the screen is blank I cant operate the phone but the phone seems to be working. I hence tried the reboot, restart, shutdown & start again, restore backup, update iOS everything a desperate user would do but nothing has worked till now. There is not much discussion on this issue anywhere hence No resolution. I am gonna visit an Apple service center today and keep my fingers crossed. I have taken utmost care of the phone. Till date it is scratchless, spotless.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy phone has been acting up since installing the latest iOS 7.1.1. The back lighting for the screen works intermittetly. I have been able to get it to come back on by turning the phone off and back on, but not every time. Once I enabled VoiceOver through Siri and turned ScreenCurtain On and Off. Other times, just clicking the home button and a few times on a notification that would turn the back lighting on. The phone seems to want to respond to turning the back lighting on, but does not do it every time it should. It usually takes 10 - 30 minutes of me working with it to get it to come back on. The phone has not been dropped and is in an Otterbox case.

For the last couple of weeks my screen has been starting to act kind of weird. The problem is that the screen become unresponsive from time to time. For the most of the time when the screen stop responding I can "reset" it by pressing the sleep-button and then wake the phone up again or tilt it to landscape-mode.
It's very annoying and I don't know what to do. For example, just a regular text/sms takes like 8-9 "resets" as described above, to finish. I use the latest software for both iOS and iTunes. The phone has not been a subject to "brute force" or any kind of liquids and part from a few very small scratches the phone looks like new (kind of).

So my phone got water damage, and the screen no longer works. It still functions but I have to use siri for everything. So i just decided to buy a new one. I wanted to back up my phone to itunes on my computer so I can put the new stuff on my computer, but since it wont let me back it up if i have no pass code for the iPhone, and clearly i cant enter it because my screen is not functioning. Is there a way i can open my phone with out touching it or enter the code in on itunes? Without touching the touch screen? oh and it's still asking me for the code on the last computer I backed up to.
View 1 Replies View RelatedShortly after I upgraded my iPhone 4 to iOS 5.1, the camera shortcut on my home screen stopped working. The camera icon appears even if I single click the home button, but whether I single click or double click the home button, touching the camera icon simply makes the screen bounce in rejection.
I have removed the passcode on my phone only to get the same effect.

The last time the display functioned I was starting a play-list for my shower. I adjusted the volume once or twice without lighting the screen, and after drying off stopped the music by removing the speaker jack again without lighting the screen. The device then went into my shirt pocket and I ate dinner then watched a movie but when I tried to do a little surfing before bed the screen wouldn't light up. I had seen it light up the buttons but take a few seconds for the display when the CPU was busy so I waited, nothing happened. I pulled the battery and tried again, nothing on the screen. But then I discovered that the touch sensor was still functioning, I could swipe to unlock and power down in the standard fashion just blind. I have examined the water stickers they are both white with bright red X's.
While writing this question (I am sure many of you already know this fact) I discovered that the display of my device is in fact three distinct functional parts. The capacitive touch screen still in operation on my device, the LCD image generator also still in operation, and the Led illumination source which for lack of a more accurate description is burned out.So my question is how could this occur, is it software or hardware, and what are my recourses?
I dropped my Iphone in the sink for about 2 seconds, then took it out and dried it off. It all worked fine but a few minutes later the screen went black. I put it in rice for about 2 and a half days, and the sound and touch works (I can even unlock it and answer the phone), but I see not a thing on the screen. It's plain black. I still have it in the rice, but is there anything i can do to save it?

I have an Iphone 4, which did an upgrade yesterday. Now I can't unlock the screen as the swiping through the numbers no longer works. Can I reset it using the computer...if so how?

I had an authorized seller replace the broken screen on my iPhone 4S, but now the bottom dock of icons is unresponsive. Weird thing is that I can't access the icons on the dock, nor open the lantern / calculator / clock / camera on the icons when I pull up the quick menu, but aside from that, that part of the screen works ... I can use the keyboard completely, you name it, everything except the icons on the dock and the bottom ones on the pull up menu ! Â
The guy who fixed my screen said it must be a software glitch, but I've restarted and restored the phone (from backup and as a new one) and the problem is still there !Â
Any chance he messed up something while changing the screen ?Â
Also, iPhone isn't (and has never been) jailbroken or anything of the sorts
I was on instagram and it froze I hit the power button to put it to "sleep" and I tried to open it back up and its been stuck at a dark screen. I tried holding the power button in order to reset and nothing happens.. When I press the home button siri turns on but I can't get anywhere with that either.
View 1 Replies View RelatedFor the past week I have received "no service" in the upper right corner of the home screen. I am using the latest IOS and latest Itunes. When I get the message, it stays until I turn the phone off and then back on. Based on apple care reps. I have restored the phone, first with a restore to last backup, and most recently to new. The problem happens randomly, but last time was 12 hours ago, and right after a sync with itunes.

Alright, so the screen works perfectly. The main screen works, when I plug it in the clock shows up and the selection menu does too. The trackpad and all of the other buttons; however, are not responding. Trackpad wont scroll and the buttons dont do anything. Even the lock and unlock does nothing.
View 2 Replies View RelatedOnly properly used the radio today but could only get it to play if I turned the screen off. That's fine if you know the station frequency but if you are wanting to search for a station and don't know the frequency you can't do it. How strange is that.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have the 5800 XpressMusic and a few days ago the touch screen stopped working properly. When the phone has been off for an hour or two everything works fine for the first couple of minutes, then it stops recognizing presses/unpresses and holds a lot. For this reason it sounds to me like a software fault but the guy in the local phone shop reckons the screen is pressed in and needs to be physically repaired.Any ideas?
View 6 Replies View RelatedSince Friday the screen of my N97 has been all over the place. I touch one part and it's unresponsive, I touch another and it does something that I didn't ask it to do.I figured out quite quickly that it was the screen calibration that had gone to **bleep** and although I had no clue as to why, I re-calibrated the screen.Success for a few hours then the same happened again.I re-calibrate the screen, everything works fine for a few hours then I have to do it all again.I've re-flashed, soft and hard reset and still it's the same.Had to resort to using my N95 at the moment until I find out if there is a solution or whether it is getting returned to Nokia under warranty.Any suggestions would be helpful.
