It's very frustrating that every time I go to do anything on my phone either the screen is frozen or its updating. Mar 4, 2010I am helping out a friend who has a Nokia 6280. She claimed that it's infected by a virus because her problems started after using a Bluetooth headset. I don't quite believe this as I've heard it's more likely to be struck by lightning than to have this phone infected with a virus. Anyhow, the problem is the following: When you power on the phone, you get the Nokia handshake, then the phone loads. However, as soon as the phone loads, a bunch of black lines appear to streak across the screen rendering it black. That's not a huge issue because it goes away after a few seconds. Now I've read this could be an issue related to the ribbon that connects to the screen, but the screen turning black does not occur in any other instance other than right after when the main screen appears. I can play with the slider all day and nothing will happen, but like clockwork the problem appears after the phone loads.What gives? The phone works fine otherwise, so what could the problem be? If you need any more information I will be happy to provide. I've uploaded a video of this issue here (using my 5800 XpressMusic at night - the quality isn't that great sorry, but it does show the problem). Pardon the audio - my kids were watching Spongebob Squarepants so you might want to turn the audio all the way down! I guess my question is two-fold:
1) can this in fact be the result of a virus?
2) if this isn't due to a virus, what is it due to?

The only way I have been able to fix the problem is to go to the photo I want to use, edit it and crop to a rectangular aperture.

Songs Won't Play After Syncing With IPhone / Red Square In Red Circle?
Aug 31, 2014I just bought 9 songs from Amazon music download and added them to my iTunes library. I've done this before and my previous Amazon purchased music has always and still plays fine. After syncing my new music with my iPhone I found I couldn't play these 9 songs (they play fine on my Mac in itunes, just not on my phone). They have the red square in red circle symbol next to them (see screen shot) and when I tap on one to play it just skips to the next song without the red square in red circle.

May 13, 2012I dropped my iphone about 3 hours ago and it landed screen-down, but it was not shattered. everything on the phone works however i can't see anything - the screen is COMPLETELY black. i tried resetting it by pressing the home and power buttons at the same time, and it has not worked. since the phone is entirely functional except for the screen, i can hear when i get a text, etc. when i tried restarting it, I knew it worked because it made a sound when it came back on and was charging, therefore the only issue is the screen.
