I use an Iphone 4. My problem is I have only 87 Apps on my phone and its showing I am using 2.1 GB of space. My biggest program is 58 MB and most are well below that.
Does the Iphone keep deleted applications on the phone after they are deleted?
Does it put a lot of "temp files" in the applications area?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm using the default iCloud storage plan. Since this is only 5GB, I don't back up anything but WhatsApp besides contacts, mail and notes. I don't even have Photo Stream enabled. WhatsApp only takes up 1.3 GB, and I regularly delete redundant notes and keep my iCloud inbox completely clean (by forwarding emails to my other accounts), which would mean that my contacts take up around 3GB. This is impossible as I have only 100+ contacts and don't sync them with my Facebook contacts.Â
What's even weirder is that the iCloud usage tab tells me that there is 703 MB available of 5.0 GB on iCloud, but is unable to back up my phone due to needing an extra 3.9 GB of storage.how I could manage my iCloud storage more effectively.

I was wondering if the new iCloud features will allow me to store my photos on the server instead of on my phone. Â
By now, many of us must have an excessive amount of photos on our devices. It would be nice if I could 'archive' or 'keep on server' my photos from 2010 that I rarely access... but still have the ability to download them if I were so inclined. I am using GB upon GB in pictures and have no space for movies and music at this point.Â

View 4 Replies View RelatedThis is about the storage on my 16GB iPhone 4S. iOS 5.1 if that makes a difference. My phone is full, and I've been deleting pictures and apps to free it up. However, a big chunk of space is lost to the "Other" category. 2 gigs to be exact. I have tried deleting the cache/cookies/history on Safari, it removed 0.07 gb. So I have two questions, First of all, what is this 2 gigs of space for "other" being used for? I have no tabs open on safari, and as I said, I cleared all temporary files. I also do not have a significant amount of calendar entires, 10 at the max. I have heard that it is the iOS, but my 16 gig iPhone shows up as 13.8 gig on iTunes, so I would assume that the missing 2.2 gig would be lost to the iOS, no? And second, how can I recover this space? I have heard restoring, but what kind of restore in specific? Can it be from backup, or must it be fully reset to new? I do not want to lose my text messages, so I'd rather not set up as new. Or is there another option?

View 5 Replies View Relatedeveryone noticed his after I installed the app called System which shows you running apps, disk procces, memory use and graphs it all out nicely.I noticed while having the System app open and double clickeing the home button to bring up the recently opened list, when I close them one by one I can see my free memory increasing.So does this mean that the apparently closed appe are still running and taking up memory space.I also noticed that in the procces window that maps is constantly running along with the phone process.
View 14 Replies View RelatedI got my iPhone 4s last September and since then I've updated the firmware twice hoping that would solve the problem but it didn't. When I hold an app to delete it, it does start to wriggle immediately but when I press the delete button it takes more than 15 seconds for the are you sure message to pop up. I don't normally delete apps so I keep forgetting that that bug is there but when I do delete apps its when I urgently need space to take a video or something so when it takes me over ten minutes to just delete a couple of apps and yes it doesn't happen for just one delete it happens for each delete. Ever since I upgraded to 5.1.1 the freeze time decreased a bit to 15-30 seconds it used to be longer but I could really use a permenant fix for this.

I have a BlackBerry 8330 and I am having problems with my SprintTV, NFL Mobile Live App, etc where I cannot watch any video or audio from those apps. I took it into a Sprint Tech Store, and they thought that maybe it was becuase I either had an after market App that was interfereing with the audio/video feeds, or that I was simply using too much memory and it was interfereing with the audio/video. Tehy couldn't tell me where to look for the Device Memory and had no idea how much it came with out of the box and how much I was using.
I need to know how much Device Memory comes on a BB 8330, where to look in my BB to find out how much I'm using, and need to know if there are any suggestions or tricks I can perform to free some up without deleting too many apps (if that's even possible). From the other forum answers I've read, I don't think there's a way to free space without deleting content. I see Device Memory in my Options, but it only says:

Is that a lot left, or is that close to being depleted? Is that actually the Device Memory, or is that something else? There's nowhere that tells me how much I started with.
Is it possible to switch what available memory is used for applications in my blackberry? Right now it shows my phone as having only about 20MB of space left for apps in it (all I've downloaded is Facebook mobile, 1 theme, and 2 games from app world). I have an 8GB card in my phone - can i set it where the memory for saving apps is the card instead of the on board memory? So today I finally got my 950XL, and started setting it up. I opted to restore my most recent backup, as I wanted to keep as many of my apps and settings as I could. However, I've been waiting on 82 apps downloading for a couple of hours now, with nothing seeming to move. There were a couple that got installed but since then everything seems to have ground to a halt. I've restarted the phone a few times to try and kick it into gear, but it's all still very slow. Right now the 2 active downloads don't seem to want to start - they have the progress bar, but not moving. I've tried pausing them all and setting them off one-by-one, but they then sit on pending seemingly indefinitely. Same if I cancel and get again from the store.

Due to battery life that's gone down to about 7 hours from an initial average of about 11, I decided it was time to reset my phone to see if that might work (though I've taken to the less nuclear option of allowing Google to restore my apps and app data from Google's backup).
Before the reset, I'd had almost every app that could be moved to the SD card moved to the SD card.
The reset did not affect the SD card.Now, I'd like to move all my apps that can be so moved, moved onto the SD card again. My question is, since the reset did not affect my SD card (I'd even removed it for one of the two resets that I've done since last night), is there app stuff from my previous installation on my SD card, stuff that I should be able to delete now to make space for my new set of apps that I want to move to the card?If so, how do I clear out that old app stuff?
I assume that I need to...If I had Audible installed on the card before, and I now have Audible in my phone's internal storage, if I move it to the card, is there any chance that it'll recognize the previous installation, re-associate itself with it, and thus save me the time of downloading previously downloaded audiobooks?

View 4 Replies View RelatedSo I originally tried to update one of my apps that I've been using for awhile when I got the "insufficient space on the device" error message, so then I uninstalled it and tried to download it again and still get the error message.
The app is 20.09MB in size and I currently have 445MB of available space on my Samsung Galaxy S5.
I went through and uninstalled a bunch of apps that I just don't use anymore as well as moved a bunch over to my SD card and yep still getting the message so I don't understand what's going on?
I also tried downloading other apps just to see if it was something within that app or if it's my phone but I get it.
Lumia 1520 with the latest version of the Nokia Camera app.
Here's the issue, every time I attempt to take a picture using the camera button in the right side of the phone using the Nokia Camera app, my Lumia 1520 will start taking pictures non-stop other unless I exit the app to stop it. Now if I take the picture using the Nokia Camera app on-screen button the phone will only take a single picture. I remember that this problem was not present when I got my Lumia 1520 in January of this year. My thinking is that this problem has to do with a software update to the Nokia Camera app.
