IPhone :: 3GS Is Displaying 'No Service'?
May 7, 2012My phone is fully update and on the 3 network. My phone has been displaying no service for the past 24 hours, occasionally searching. I have tried resetting the network settings with no avail.
If I manually search for networks I can find the 3 network and can select it but it still displays 'no service'. I have tested it by making calls to check its not connected but not displaying correctly.

Mar 16, 2012I replaced my old iphone 3gs by a new iphone 4s. After 2 weeks the new iphone was stolen but, when i tried to go back to my old iphone 3gs (with a new sim card), it kept displaying a "no service" message after I updated it to ios 5.1. I got back all the information stored in iCloud and iTunes and all the applications work fine, except for the telephone service. I tried changing different sim cards (including different telephone lines) but the problem remains. The phone worked perfectly well before this incident started.

Apr 14, 2012I've done everything I know to do (reset network settings, hard reset, software update, restore to factory default, replace sim card) still have not fully resolved the issue. It seems to work periodically at random, but only has 1 or 2 bars where I should normally have full service.

May 24, 2012Recently, my iPhone has been having some service issue and it is not AT&T's problem. At home for example I always used to have 5 bars, but now the service will show no service and then 10 minutes it will show up all 5 bars then soon no service. This happens to me in many places.

Jul 30, 2010Since I updated to iOS4 my Appstore icon on my iPhone has vanished. Furthermore, mysteriously, I'm not allowed to install programs on my iPhone through my mbp (itunes) When I try to update the apps to my iphone that i downloaded on the computer it says unknown error. Today I downloaded the most recent iOS update and (4.1 i guess) and it still doesn't work. Has anyone else experienced this problem and what could i do about it?

Dec 11, 2014Dealing with an iPhone 6 and just updated to 8.1.2. After the update I entered new events into my calendar. When looking at new events I entered since the update, while viewing the Daily view of the calendar, it now displays the GMT of the event in the event. How do I get rid of this?

Sep 8, 2014Last year I went on holiday and at the time I took lots of photos, around 500 in total. However some of the photos aren't displaying the image of the photo, just black or white squares. When I took the pictures they registered as pictures and you could see the photo without any problem. Soon after I returned home, when I tried to upload them to my laptop, I noticed some weren't displaying anything anymore. The photo thumbnail is just a black or white square, and when I tap on it pulls up the 'photo' but there is no image. I'm uploading them to Facebook and I thought it was just an issue with the file format (even though they were taken on the iPhone) and maybe they would display once uploaded, but they haven't. If I remember correctly, when I checked the file size on my laptop they read 0KB. What happened to my photos? Can I get them back?Â
This is what it looks like. They used to be photos but now they're blank thumbnails. The exact same happens but in black on some photos.

There have been several instances where I have sent a picture message to someone, after I send the photo, i go back to the messaging thread a few moments later and it doesn't show the picture(s)... Mar 31, 2012I have a 4S running on iOS 5.0. I reset my phone a few weeks ago when I was playing around, and I restored it from my iCloud backup. Everything was fine except the filename counter for my pictures was also reset to IMG0001. I transfer pictures to my computer regularly so now I have many pictures with duplicated names, such as IMG0001.JPG and IMG0001 (2).JPG. This is much of an annoyance but I can live with that.
However I have even weirder things happening now. Let's say before I reset my phone I had shot a vidoe and the name was IMG0010.MOV. After the reset of course the video is gone, and I take pictures with my phone as usual. So I took a picture whose name as IMG0010.JPG again, and when I try to see it in the camera roll, I see the first frame of my old video! In the thumbnail view it is the right picture, but when I tap on it to view it, it shows my newly taken picture for about half a second, and then displays my old video. I guess there must be some old cache on my phone that override the picture display. Does anyone know how to fix it?
I should add that the picture is also displayed wrongly in my photo stream folder on the phone. On the other hand when I access the picture from the computer (in the DCIM folder, and in the synced photo stream folder) it is the right one. But I want to view the pictures on my phone! I can't take my computer with me anytime!

Apr 18, 2012I have noticed that my calendar events aren't displaying correctly on my iPhone 4S. I'm not entirely sure how long it has been like this. I checked iCal on my Mac and the dates are correct there. I checked iCloud and it's correct there. I've checked my iPad and iPhone are both off by a day. Could this go all the way back to Daylight Savings time change?

Jun 10, 2012My iPhone 4S has been constantly displaying the ringer volume since this morning. I have tried turning off my phone and turning it back on, resetting my phone, syncing it to iTunes, and pretty much everything else. Everything is functioning correctly, and I'm able to navigate my phone normally, but it's an inconvenience to have to try to look at the things on my screen through the ringer volume notification.
