For the last couple days, my iPhone wouldn't dictate anything I say and Siri just keeps saying, "I'm really sorry about this..." I've had issues in the past but they would usually resolve themselves within a few minutes. The only thing I can really think of that's different is that I had AT&T change my iPhone number a couple weeks ago.
Or if not who would be the better resource, AT&T support or Apple support?
Siri and text dictation have both stopped working. I have checked the settings and they are on, have restarted and reset as instructed in the user guide if a problem, still not working.
I can't find the option to turn on dictation so Siri can write my emails, my messages, and to respond in apps like whatsapp and other apps that require writing
When receiving calls my iPhone 6 microphone is not working correctly, sound drops, sound is crackly, sound is loud, etc. This only happens on inbound calls.
Phone was 18months old. Intermittent problem from 1 yr. Able to make/receive calls but other person not able to hear me. However voice recorder still working so not sure what's causing problem. Genius bar unable to help but person next to me with same age phone had identical problem. Tried all suggestions on message boards with no sucess.
I have an iPhone 5 64 gig gsm, factory unlocked phone. Siri only works with headphones or when you use raise to speak. When I attempt to use it without it doesn't seem to hear me. I read a few threads on the subject and it seems this is a known issue. Most of the time the threads end when someone finds a solution without the solution being disclosed. Apps like Soundhound and Shazam seem to work fine so it appears the issue is software related. I have notice Apple texting does not work with the mic either.Â
I have been having a great deal of trouble using Siri. She only works consistently on WiFi (with times when she doesn't work at all). Siri rarely works when I'm on 3G or 4G even with full bars. What can I do?
I have a BB 9800, and I recently downloaded the latest 6.0 OS Bundle 2921. Since then, I cannot use the ear piece when making calls. The speaker/handset menu goes back and forth and there is no sound in the ear piece. I can no longer take calls in the car while I drive.
I've changed my display a few days ago, obviously because it crashed after being dropped from ~30 centimeters. Everything seemed to work fine, the only problem was with the broken screen.
But today, during several phonecalls, I was told that they hear me sunk, like I was in a jar or something, and sometimes with few cracklings.
I was on instagram and it froze I hit the power button to put it to "sleep" and I tried to open it back up and its been stuck at a dark screen. I tried holding the power button in order to reset and nothing happens.. When I press the home button siri turns on but I can't get anywhere with that either.
I'm very impressed with the dictation capabilities of the iPhone 4S.Unfortunately, some words—especially names—have multiple spellings. It's wonderful that dictation recognizes these words. But when dictation doesn't use the desired spelling then remedial editing is required. For example, 'Alison', 'Allison', and 'Alyson' are all correct spellings for a name. Unfortunately, dictation uses 'Allison' but I need 'Alison'.Is there any way to train/specify the spelling of words that dictation recognizes but spells differently than is needed?
How do I remove a 'wife' from iPhone. I told Siri that my partner was my wife then I married her and changed her contact details and now Siri thinks I have two wives and asks which one when I ask Siri to call or send a message.
My phone has been acting up since installing the latest iOS 7.1.1. The back lighting for the screen works intermittetly. I have been able to get it to come back on by turning the phone off and back on, but not every time. Once I enabled VoiceOver through Siri and turned ScreenCurtain On and Off. Other times, just clicking the home button and a few times on a notification that would turn the back lighting on. The phone seems to want to respond to turning the back lighting on, but does not do it every time it should. It usually takes 10 - 30 minutes of me working with it to get it to come back on. The phone has not been dropped and is in an Otterbox case.
I've had this problem on and off since getting my Photon, but now I can't seem to fix it after power recycles, battery pulls, and uninstalling new apps.
When I press the microphone key on the keyboard to use voice dictation, all I see is the microphone with a red line through it and a message above that saying "Voice Initializing" and it just hangs there. I've let it do that as long as five minutes, but with no success. I can still use the Google voice search bar and the voice commands app, just can't do voice from the keyboard.
Cannot use microphone during calls as the person on the other end cannot hear me, though i am able to hear. I am using iPhone 4S with iOS 5.1 and the same microphone works on other phones.
Sometimes I receive or dial phone calls and people can't hear me as I can hear them perfectly. The Dictaphone app' functions perfectly.
I'm owning the iPhone for more than a year. I've heard that I just buy a Apple Care Warranty and then Apple will exchange my broken iPhone; is that true? (in Switzerland)
My Microphone is not working. When I make a call I can hear the other party but they cannot hear me. Usually if I use the speakerphone it will work, but that is not always convenient
