IPhone :: 4 Won't Make Calls Since Upgraded To 5.1.1
Jun 2, 2012
I upgraded my iphone 4 from AT&T about 3 weeks ago to 5.1.1 from 5.0.1, I think. It could have been 5.1. I still get texts, everything works perfectly except my phone application! It hardly ever makes phones calls, it dials and connects to the other end both recieving and outgoing, but there is no sound and the speaker phone button is highlighted. The person on the other end has no audio either. It does this for 95% of phone calls, but even the bug is incosistent; every once in a while I can make or recieve a call without a problem. I restored my phone without installing the saved backup several times, problem continues. I'm convinced it's the software upgrade.
I just upgraded to 8.1.2 on my iPhone 4S and now all my text messages have vanished, I can't send or receive text messages, and I can't make phone calls. When I punch in a phone number or tap a contact in my favourites - nothing happens. I have switched it off and rebooted twice - still nothing.
My phone will not make calls, but I can still text just fine. I want to make sure if it's a network issue or if something happened with the phone itself. I have never dropped it and I always have the projective screens/covers.
I can make calls but I cant receive all of the calls. What happends is the phone rings then you swipe the screen to receive then there is nothing but the call has been answered, sometimes(not all) I can put on the microphone to fix this but this does nt work all the time.
The person is on the other end and No "mute has not been hit" the only thing i can think of is a loose wire internally or a software problem?? that does not mean its right, hence I am asking?
I can't even answer calls. I do a battery pull every 24 hours. I'm completely upgraded to the current os. What can I do to fix this? I've always treated my BB good but I"m ready to throw it against a wall. Whats the point of having a phone if I can't answer the darn thing?
i recently upgraded to the 9700 and since the day i got the phone i get alot of dropped calls full bars and full 3g but the calls will drop is anyone else dealing with this problem if so is there something with the device i can do im in ohio by the way
I have a blackberry curve 9360, My friend calls my phone and I never get her call, her call goes straight to voice mail and my phone doesnt ring. But we can text each other. I also tried calling her 3 times, she has an iphone and her phone doesnt ring or show history of my call. Im pretty sure my call didnt go through.
I have a 3Gs Iphone and I recently upgraded the sofware to 5., however I can now no longer make calls, the message received is 'call failed', all the other finction on phone seem to work fine
my iphone4 will not work unless plugged in and it has no wifi connection and it states it needs to restore to make calls or reicive them, yet if i unplugg the phone it shuts off and wont turn on again even when connected to the computer. i have reset it several times but it wont fix the issue i just get a note on phone : iPhone cannot make or receieve calls. Restore from iTunes. [URL]
I haven't been able to make or receive phone calls on my iPhone 4 for the past 3 days. I've restored the phone and network settings and it still doesn't work. The phone will "make" the call, but there is no connection via audio on either side of the connection. When someone tries to call me, the phone either freezes on the incoming call screen (and rings, and rings, and rings until I shut it down completely), or it just doesn't connect as far as audio, again on both sides of the connection.
Ok so i recently got an iphone 4. I have a problem that if someone tries to call me and i answer i can hear them but they cant hear me. Even if i put speaker or a headset they still cant hear me. I looked thru the settings and i dont see anything that can interrupt it. I tried doing the voice record and it records my voice but doesnt the voice record use the same mic when you make calls? I mean if it is then theres something thats blocking me from talking when someone calls me.
I have 2 iPhones, iPhone 4 16 GB and iPhone 4s 16 GB, both using a T-mobile UK monthly plan.when I use viber app (viber free calling) on data plan I can speak and hear the reciepient for 10 seconds, after that there is no sound, and the call just disconnect, if I use wifi for calling from viber, everything is fine.I think the problem is with the carrier, but I searched for discussions and troubleshooting from t-mobile website and had no luck.by the way, the APN setting on my iphone does not show, because it is automatically set by the carrier, however, everuthing else require the use of internet works just fine in the iPhone, except for the Viber problem I pointed out.
iPhone 4S will not making outgoing calls. I don't know if I can get calls or not, but outgoing calls are a no go. It stays stuck on "calling" and never connects or says call failed. Can't even connect to voicemail, and all the messages I had saved are no longer listed on the voicemail screen. It's just blank, but I can't call voicemail manually because it won't connect. Texting seems to still work, sometimes. Occasionally, I'll get the "Message Send Failure" notice, but usually the texting works fine, even though the phone does not. I've restarted, rebooted, changed the date and time settings like I read somewhere, and nothing has worked. I'm running 5.1.1 and it is not jailbroken.
