View 6 Replies View RelatedMy phone gets stuck in headset mode whenever I plug in my earphones. I unplug the earphones and the headset icon is still at the top. Tried reinserting the headphones and pulling out and still doesn't disappear. No sound will play through my speakers when the icon is there. The only way to turn it off it seems if when I restart the phone. It happens to this on different types of earphones too. I can't listen to music anymore without having to restart my phone afterwards

I've had the c139 for about three years and an very happy with it. However, it's developed a problem I cannot seem to undo. On the home screen, there is a headset icon, and next to it on the right is a phone with a 1. I do not have a headset. Never used a headset. Never set up the phone for speed dialing. Very basic pay-as-you-go use: call - receive - textSince it started displaying these icons, I cannot hear anyone when they call in. The buttons no longer beep when I press them. I cannot hear to call out. However, the text works just fine. This is what I've done to try to fix it:Settings>other settings>headset>auto answer (no other option)>off
View 2 Replies View Relatedi recently updated my neo l to 4.1.b.0.626 and started getting this volume issue with headset. it is stuck at around 60%. increasing the volume using the settings menu briefly pops up a warning that says something similar to "high volume can damage ears" and vanishes before any action can be taken. using the volume rocker in application such as Internet causes the playback to stop. the volume itself is way too low to be practical even for someone with good hearing. no such issues without the headset. i am using the sony supplied headset. i have tried a factory reset and didn't work.
View 5 Replies View RelatedIf I press the headset button, a black screen pops up with the text "initializing" (except in Italian because that's the language I use), and nothing else happens. The voice command interface does not appear and it doesn't work at all. Tried clearing data and doing other basic things but the problem keeps happening. Not sure if it's a bug with the phone's software or with Google Search.
View 3 Replies View Relatedi was charging my phone via usb through my laptop and it suddenly went into white/grey screen with weird screen and so i pressed the home + power and went into recovery mode (itunes + usb logo). i tried to restore it and i keep on getting error 1600. after a few hours, the screen just went black and whenever i press home + power button, nothing happens. i went to a repair shop and a guy "shocked" the battery and there it went back to recovery mode. i tried to restore it again on dfu mode and still getting error 1600.
if i try it on restore mode, i will get error 21. what i did is i plug in the device, put it on recovery mode and then put it in dfu then restore and still error 1600 ---- googleed and Internetd so,me videos until i saw a video to change the host file and downloaded it and then boom --- it was fixed! while i was fixing my newly repaired iphone 4 version 5.1 -- all of a sudden it went to restarted then went into recovery mode. after a few hours again, it went to dfu mode and i went to the repair shop to shock the battery but that didn't work until now. i can't get my phone to restore mode even if i press the home + power button. stuck on dfu mode.i have a saved shsh for 5.0.1 and 5.1 -- so i built a custom firmware with snowbreeze and ifaith but i keep on getting error 3014, 1600, 1601, 1608 on restoring it.

(Posted incorrectly in the 9780 forum, so posting here)Blackberry 9700v5.0.0.296 (Platform 5.1.0.83) FolksHave started having this very weird problem, make that problems.#1: I get a call.. i start the call.. phone keeps on switching between headset and handset mode. Cannot have a conversation at all. I have to use the headset.I tried manually selecting handset, speakerphone but nothing. I have to resort to using the headset, then it stays in headset mode.#2: I remove the headet pin, re-insert it. This somehow activates music. I have to always go in and stop it.I had this problem a few months ago and then a few days ago. Both the times i managed to make it go away. I believe I did the following:- Headset in- Power down- Remove battery- Power back up- Remove headsetMy guess is that sometime when you remove the headset, it does not understand it 'cleanly'. First time (few months ago) I was just listening to music via headset. 2nd time (few days ago) I had it connected via my AUX connection to the car stereo.

When loading iTunes this morning an update that I had been putting off popped up and I figured since I was going to be in the house for a while I'd finally do it. An error took place that I foolishly ignored and made no note of.
My iPhone is now stuck in Recovery mode (I assume so anyway, after having googles my problem for hours), iTunes tells me I need to restore the phone and so I click to allow it to. It then gets to the "Preparing iPhone for restore" and just sits there, doing nothing.

After my daughter dropped my phone on the floor (surprisingly the screen didn't crack), the screen went black and I could not turn the phone back on. This was not the first time that this happened to me and I fixed it by plugging it in to my car charger. I tried that this time and it did come back on but the place where my signal strength bars should be said 'searching'. After a short while, a message came up saying that my phone needed to be restored and to connect it to iTunes.
My phone would not come on unless it was plugged into a charger, other than that the screen was black (and still does that). The apple screen will show and then the usb cord connecting to iTunes symbol comes up and it will go passed that screen.
I connected to iTunes, and found out that my phone was in recovery mode and needed to be restored. I tried to restore several times and the same thing happens. iTunes will begin the process (extracting files first) after that part is complete and iTunes starts the next step of preparing the phone for restoring, my phone will go black as if it shut off and then the apple screen comes on and then the usb cord connecting to iTunes shows up and then iTunes delivers the error21 code. I've tried pressing the home button and lock button at the same time for seconds and then holding the home button blah blah but it does me no good because I can't get my phone to do anything unless its connected to a charger or the computer.

My phone has been stuck for two weeks. I am not covered by Apple therefore they won't do anything, but sell me a brand new phone. If I could afford one, I would bypass them and just upgrade. Unfortunately, I am not capable at this time. I have tried everything provided by the "help" on iTunes. I get ERROR CODE: 21 every time it goes to try to recover. I tried doing everything it said to help fix this error, but nothing works.

I just recently purchased a iPhone 4S. Unfortunantly, after a month of use the iPhone will go into dockmode and will not play sound through the speakers. When I plug in earphones, music will play, but will revert back to dock mode. This is not the first time it happened. My 4G iPod Touch had the same issues. I have not connected my iPhone to any dock.Restoring did not fix the problem.
