Dec 5, 2014I have my phone # associated with Google Voice such that when someone calls my Google Voice number ... it rings my iphone and my landling. I have configured GV (just like a lot of other GV users) to make me press 1 to take the incoming call.Â
This worked wonderfully on my iphone 4s (IOS 7.x). But there is a problem with either iPhone6 or IOS 8.XÂ ... now the problem ...Â
- When I pickup the call on the cell ... GV asks me to press 1 (like it always does). I press 1 ... No acknowledgement. I can hear the DTMF tone but it does not get registered.
- When I pickup the call on my landline ... I am able to press 1 and accept the incoming call.
- My first thought was there is a bug in IOS when the phone is in the locked screen ... but no ... even when I get the call with the phone unlocked ... it will not register any of the DTMF keys
- To test this I added my wife's iPhone 4 (not 4S) running IOS 7.1 to my GV account. I was able to answer the call by pressing 1.Â

When I am in a call, and someone else calls me, it beeps, and the person that is calling me pops up on the with the options to ignore that incoming call, and to end the current call and talk to that person phoning. But some people who phone me think that i'm ignoring them. usually if you are on a phone, it goes to voicemail, if someone else is calling you. this only happens if my sim card is in my iPhone - not in any other phone.

Dec 1, 2014Recently I have received a call on my iPhone. While on conversation the phone vibrated 4 times with 10 seconds interval between each vibration as if I am receiving text messages. When the call ended shortly after, I looked at the home screen and a message "iPhone is disabled try again in 1 minute" displayed.Â
When I unlocked the screen after about a minute later there were no messages received and all of my apps have been re-arranged. Â
The apple id I use is an email where the email admins have notified me that in the past couple of weeks there has been multiple unauthorized attempts to get access to it.Â

Jun 17, 2014I have a problem with using my phone that started several weeks ago and has been steadily getting worse. When I make a call, the person on the other end answers and I can hear them but they can't hear me. This also happens occasionally when someone calls me. I can hear them but they can't hear me. I have good reception, 4 or 5 bars. I haven't accidentally hit the mute button with my cheek. I try turning the mute button on and off with no results. I have shut the phone off for a while and then started it up and there is no improvement.
Today I was probably able ot only talk to 60% of the people that I tried dialing. There is one person in particular that I have to call multiple times per day for business and this happens 95% of the time with her. I depend on being able to use the phone; I'm in the life safety business. As far as I can tell, everything else works, other apps work just fine. I can text and email, surf the net, etc. I have an iPhone 4 version 6.0.1 (software?). It doesn't seem to matter if I am on a 3G or E network. The problem persists. No, I don't want to update the iOS, the GUI is butt ugly (Steve would be turning over in his grave if he saw this iOS) and everyone that I know that has an iPhone 4 and has done the 'upgrade' has had problems with slow operation and battery suck.Â
