I tried updating to IOS4 just now with iphone 3g, however in the middle of installation it comes up with error below:
Please help, iphone is stuck now on connect to itunes, only each time i conect it says iphone is in recovery mode and needs to be restored, so i click restore and it comes up with that error in the picture each time.
anybody ever encounter this annoying issue with ios4 when you keep getting 'call failed' constantly until you either reboot, turn 3g off, turn on and off airplane mode? i am able to receive calls when this happens but its annoying that i have reset everytime when it happens. i notice it happens about the same time after i get off work when i get home. i know i can send and receive text.
it happened to my roommate as well.we are running iphone 3gs under ios4.
so here's the situation, i upgraded to ios4, which worked great. but then i switched providers and the new provider needs a jailbroken phone (telus) so i tried to do that. i hit one step in one of the jailbreaking apps that said to restore, so i tried. then i got the 1015 error, and now iphone just says "itunes" with the USB cable, and when i try and restore, i get the 1015 error.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have AT&T and my data has not been working since I upgraded to iOS 4 yesterday. MMS, Internet, etc doesn't work. I have called AT&T and they don't know why and can't offer any solution. Anyone else having this problem?
I have tried restoring my phone, resetting the network settings, and AT&T tried unregistering and re-registering my phone but still no data.
After updating to iOS4, my mail is not fetching anymore. I've checked the settings, of course.

Would I be better off doing a backup of my iOS4, restoring my iPhone to iPhone OS 3 and then going back to the official iOS4 or do you think we will be able to straight from the GM to the official version of iOS 4. I had no problems syncing before and this is the first time I am encountering this. Error message reads, "The iPhone could not be synced because the sync session failed to start."

The iTunes data on the computer my iPhone was firstly connected and configurated with has been deleted. I was looking for an opportunity to update my iPhone to the newest iOS software (since it was on 5.0) without erasing all the data saved on my mobile. But that time I did not know that all data will be erased when upgrading a device a complete version (like from 3.0 to 4.0 or 4.0 to 5.0) and then it happened. Several hundred business contacts of mine has been erased and cannot be reset. All functions except the phone/message contacts are unimportant now. MOST IMPORTANT: I connected my iPhone with a new MacBook, updated iTunes to 10.6.3 (current version) and synced my mobile with it. Data will be erased if updating on an unknown computer (for iOS device) where no data which are on my iPhone are saved. Unfortunately, the instructions at iTunes Support were helpless because during the important backup for resetting all datas has been interrupted with the following window: Backup not possible , There are not enough space on the iPhone left to finish the backup.
It has never continued and since then all data has been erased. I would be incredibly glad if anybody could give me at least a tip to do something.

Now my iPhone won't update, restore or reset to factory settings... it is stuck in restore mode with the iTunes logo and cable showing in the screen and even when i tried to connect it to my laptop it doesnt show up on the itunes ( itunes cant feel it ) ....

View 7 Replies View RelatedI was wondering if anyone else is getting this bug. My iPhone gets into a state where in the Photos app, I am unable to change the screen orientation to landscape. This is only in the Photos app - Safari continues to work just fine on this front.
The only way I have found to resolve the issue is the restart the phone, and then it works again.
This is not the first bug I've found in Photos in iOS4/iPhone 4 the library can be slow to update, sometimes requiring me to close and reopen the app.
Anyone else getting this?

I am able to create folders, but for some reason I cannot multitask at all, and my friends cameras now work much faster than mine, which has stayed at the speed it always was. 1) The ability to work with Google Docs
2) Notification system
3) Speech to text in the keyboard
4) Weather widget
Then it hit me that most of the time, if I thought of it, there is a solution somewhere. For 1) Last night I found an app called NoteMaster that lets me take notes in Google Docs and the webapp lets you edit spreadsheets. That's most of my uses for Google Docs taken care of. I haven't thought of or found a solution for 2 or 3 yet, but if anyone knows of a fix let me know. I have an idea for 4, but I haven't been able to find it. If you could change your background so that it displayed the weather for the next 24 hours, then when you turned on your phone from sleep mode you'd have a fast way of getting the weather. Even better if you could get to sync with and display a todo list. I saw a picture of a weather app that had a background behind the weather. Couldn't find the name of it, but that would also be a nice touch.And I don't want to jail break.
Has anyone downloaded the new GM build? If so how you like it, anything new?
