I am planning on JailBreaking my 3GS before I sell it, and I am wondering how stable the JB is for the current 3.1.3 for my 3GS, also how stable is the JB for iOS4 because I seem to be reading about a lot of ppl having issues with Cydia and JB with Spirit? Is there even a JB for iOS4? and will the new i4 have one soon after it's release?
I am not sure this is the right place to ask on GM iOS4, I would like to upgrade Gold Master iOS4 to mine 3GS right now and when it released the official firmware for public on 21st June, would I have any problem to upgrade from GM version?
Was just wondering what the best way to upgrade from the iOS4 GM to the official iOS4 release. Would I be better off doing a backup of my iOS4, restoring my iPhone to iPhone OS 3 and then going back to the official iOS4 or do you think we will be able to straight from the GM to the official version of iOS 4. Or is the iOS4 GM identical to the official iOS 4 release?
Will iTunes know that the official release is newer than the gold master release? I assume its not out yet as iTunes keeps saying "4.0 is the latest release" So what will happen when its out?
My dad just heard about it, and he doesnt know how to use my mac so he wants me to do it if its stable and ready to use on a daily basis unlike the previous betas.
My HTC one S have a problem of holding the 3G connection stable.
When It finds, and connects to 3G, as it usually does, the internet connection is fast the first 3 minutes, then the internet hangs until I reset the "3G" connection.
The problem only goes away if I switch to 2G, wait a bit, then toggle to 3G again, then it works for another 3 minutes for fast internet, and bam. hangs again. its not "sometimes".. its ALWAYS.. from the first day I got the phone.
If I force it to keep 2G, its super stable. I just miss the much MUCH faster 3G (when it works), but I wont use it until the problem with hanging is fixed.
I think it IS something with my phone (HTC one S) because my sister has same tele operator but with Nokia Lumia 800, and her phone works stable on 3G/4G in the same area as me. (I tried any area.. same problem everywhere I go)
I found some threads on internet, telling its a HTC problem with (3G/4G) switching? . maybe.. I cant force it to use 3G vs 4G ofcause. its a super phone besides this 3G (or 4G, switching) problem.
I didn't think I would ever try this, but I am getting tired of the browser click problem and my battery life does decrease faster. So what is the most stable OS for the Tour? .484, 419? And where do I find them to download them. I have already read up on how to change the OS in the crackberry tips forum.
Very often, when connecting the phone to usb, there is no reaction. Even the charging-led is not switched on.Reboot of phone sometimes, but not always work.Best way forward is to switch off the phone when connected, then the charging starts, and then restarting the phone very often lead to a connection at the end.
So is there a known bug or issue with the phone? Or does anybody know what to look at to solve that problem?
i updated to .743 draining my battery i'm downgrading to .680 i think does anyone have any suggestions to which os is the most stable to date and doesn't kill my battery?
I've a Blackberry Bold 9780 under 3 Italy carrier. 1 month ago I started experiencing troubles with BB server (during a trip to London and US and when back home to Italy the hell started), BB icon dont show when 3G,it comes and go, no stable. When WiFi it's normal. 3 Italy after 1 month of controls, calls and advices (after a master reset and several technical tries they said they have performed) say it's a RIM trouble and not their fault. Version is 6.0 bundle 2949. I live in Milano area.
The wifi connection is very unstable in neo v. It get disconnected in ever 5-10 min. I have running in ICS 4.0.3 and i have also marked never the wifi setting.
Please, how can I give a stable IP address to my phone(Xperia Neo V) with system Android 4.0 ??? It was easy before, but now i can't find a possibility to do it, so I can't connect to the internet at home.
I'm looking for a new phone (CDMA) and am considering the Samsung Freeform (R350) and the Samsung Caliber (R850). The Caliber will cost me about 3x as much as the Freeform. I don't really need a smartphone. For those who own a Freeform, how stable is it? Does it crash or fail to receive calls/texts? Does it do screwy things?
I have been following the threads here and I am going to have to agree with what many are saying re: Ovi Suite. My overall "Nokia Experience" has severely dimished, due to the fact I have to use the Ovi Suite with my N97 Mini - I can't use PC Suite as, from what I can tell the N97 Mini is not compatible. The extra steps I need to take to get a simple sync done is a nightmare and my PC at work is considerably less stable than what it is without Ovi installed.I'm not sure what the driver was to get Nokia to change tact on it's PC syncing software, but Ovi is a nightmare.Anyway, I thought I would share my three tips with you to try and make youre life as stress free as possible, even though you are forced to use Ovi as part of your day.For the record I am using a Windows XP laptop on SP3 and as already mentioned, my phone is a Nokia N97 Mini, connected via USB. The version of Ovi on my PC is v2.1.1.1
I am having a Neo V and i have upgraded it to ICS but its not a stable one. So, i want to know when is the stable version for thi is going to be released? also it does not support the video calling feature although it has a fornt facing camera..so should the customers expect this feature included in the new stable update of ICS?
This is yet another problem with my phone after i upgraded to Froyo. With Eclair, when i unlock my screen, the soft key (menu, home, return, search) backlight turns on and stay lit until the screen goes blank. Now once i unlock the screen, the soft keys backlight turns on and within few secs, it turns off, though i still work on the phone. its just like flickering in small intervals.
I just got the Acclaim and there's a few questions I have. Is there a not a "device LED" on this phone? How do I get to my files on the device through my computer? Is there a stable version of Froyo that will work on it? I think that's about it right now.
i has update my xmp twice, in first attempt got random reboot while use intrnet browser and my phone reboot automatically. 1st attempt i use SEUS but i take the recommended update not the reset factory date+update. and i also notice fb app eat lot of ram event when mobile date or WiFi is OFF and i think this is the reason why my phone reboot itself because the system has insufficient amount of ram. 2nd attempt in upgrading to ics, i use seus bt i choose reset factory data+update. after first boot, i decided to disable fb apps and all the unused apps in my phone for notification led, the bug is there for example when charging the led stay on red even there is new msg or missed call. Camera also produce lot of noise dispite the size of the picture is increase(this is well known issues) and the worst part is, no on screen notification when new sms or missed call like GB 2.3.4.. sony only put signed of new sms or missed call at top of the screen(on the left) that make me difficult to see.. 1 question to Johan, i believe you are the customer service or moderator in this forum , this ics version 4.1.B.0.431 is the beta version for us? if yes, will SMC give an update with the stable version like GB? But please give us 4.1 update, we are the user and we deserve it!
my ATRIX 4G toggles from UMTS to HSPA and back all the time. i see that on the mobile network type under settings--> about phone--> status.
After each of these toggles the mobile network state (same status menu) is connecting (and then connected until next toggle)
i suspect this phenomena to be the reason that my internet connection is unstable (disconnected very often). I'm using original ROM w. MotoBlur of course. any way i could just disable the HSPA and check if the UMTS is enought ?
I bought my brand new Motorola Atrix 2, a week back in India and am facing a peculiar problem with the phone. I am on Vodafone network and have a 3G plan with them, but my phone does not connect to the 3G network at all.
After reading several posts in the forum, I found out that it was a software problem with the phone and I had to install a 3rd party software from the Google Play site called "Network" to solve the problem.I also upgraded my software to ICS and that happened smoothly but my wifi is also not stable and keeps disconnecting every 3 to 4 minutes? Is there anyone who can help me with this as well.
When I rotate my phone, it takes 1-2 seconds for screen to rotate. The os is android 4. When I am using phone in a wifi area, the wifi icon in the phone screen shows that the wifi connection is not stable, and periodically moves from low to high. Note that the wifi source is near me. Is this a phone problem and minus for Xperia ray and Sony?
I dont know what happend... but now I no longer have MMS? The little camera icon/button to attach a picture is not there anymore..anyone help please? is ATT now charging MMS or am i missing somthing.
I just did a complete restore and JB and unlock using ultrasnow. Phone and data work but SMS and MMS does not. Is there something I need to do in order to get it to work
One thing, among other things, that I think is missing is the ability to type in different font types....such as bold, italic...then times new roman, helvetica, comic sans, etc. With how powerful the iPhone is, don't you think it should be an option? I really don't think that is material for iOS5, but just as an extension of iOS4. Post what other things are missing....widgets, whatever...
I have a 16gb Iphone 3g.I went to radio shack and the guy told me that I shouldnt get the update. He said my phone will run CRAZY slow.Is this true?I dont plan to get the os4 gm out now but the one apple releases on monday.Should I do it?Also, my provider is AT&T, I thought about jail breaking the phone but everyone seems to say not to since well, I have at&t. Would you guys do it?
Obviously multi-tasking is out, and I'm hearing to wallpapers on the homescreen. What things CAN the 3g do, for those of you who have had iOS4 for awhile? I have searched the internet for a little and most just found 'iPhone 3G will not have all features", which isn't very specific.
Got my new iphone 4 and i am ready to sell my 3gs. Its running on the new ios4 should i sell as is or wait for an unlock and then sell. I dont wanna get scammed either so need some advice.
I was wondering if anyone else is getting this bug. My iPhone gets into a state where in the Photos app, I am unable to change the screen orientation to landscape. This is only in the Photos app - Safari continues to work just fine on this front.
The only way I have found to resolve the issue is the restart the phone, and then it works again.
This is not the first bug I've found in Photos in iOS4/iPhone 4 the library can be slow to update, sometimes requiring me to close and reopen the app.
I have a 3GS, running iOS4. It has never been 'jailbroken' before. My model number is MC131B.I have iTunes 9.2.I have a MacBook Pro.Can I jailbreak my iPhone?
