Jul 5, 2010This is my first post and I'm not too familiar with the cell phone industry, so bear with me.I have a chance to get a good deal on an unlocked Motorola Milestone from someone. Will it work with simple mobile? What do I have to do to make it work? What are my other prepaid options for unlimited talk/text/web with this phone? Oct 4, 2011Recently unlocked Storm 9530 from Verizon and elected to try Simple Mobile BB unlimited. Cannot use e mail on phone because, according to Simple, Verion has not released the service book for e mail on this phone. Is there a solution to this issue other than pulling out my hair trying to pry information from Verizon ?

Jun 29, 2012I'm thinking of buying an 4s unlocked to use on Simple mobile carrier which they allow iPhones to be used on their not work but don't support it as stated on their website. Giving that it's an unlocked iPhone, all I would need is a Simple mobile sim card and I'm good to go but my question is.... will all features work? It would suck if I bought it at full price just to find out some features may not work on the unsupported network. It would defeat the purpose of having an unlocked iPhone if I can't use it on any GMS carrier.

Oct 3, 2011I recently bought a blackberry bold 9900 from mobile up front with a prepaid sim in it. I am moving to australia so need to get it unlocked. I called t-mobile and they won't provide me with a code because I haven't had it for 60 days yet with them. So i too to do one of those phone fixers in the corner stores that say they unlock phones and they punched in a bunch of codes and it didn't work. So i took it to another person said yes yes of course I can do that for you, punched in a bunch of codes and again, failed. So now my phone only has two more attempts on it to unlock it and I am scared to take it to another place or try one of these online codes you can buy as I don't want to end up with a $600 phone that is permenantly locked.Any sugestions? I could just wait the 60 days out and call t mobile back again but by then I will be in australia and if things don't work then I can't exactly just take it back into the. T mobile store.Could it be that the codes aren't working because the phone is programed not to be allowed to be unlocked for 60 days?

Jun 17, 2015I currently have the Galaxy S6 dual sim version bought from a local network. It seems that although the second sim (whether in slot 1 or slot 2) can be used for SMS and calls, it CANNOT be used for mobile data.
I've tried flashing a supposedly OPEN LINE stock firmware (XTC brand, version 5.0.2) to try and open up both slots for mobile data, but although the phone firmware definitely updated, the second sim still is locked out from being used for mobile data. APN settings are locked for the second sim, again whether it was in slot 1 or slot 2.
Will flashing a different firmware (NOT FROM our country) work in unlocking the mobile data access? Will I have issues if the CSC comes from another country while I use this phone here at home?
Motorola Triumph :: Can't Get A Simple Confirmation
Nov 2, 2011I have been following this community since I bought my Triumph 2+ months ago. I am generally happy with the phone, although I am annoyed by the intermittent lack of responsiveness from the touchscreen and the GPS issues. I cannot believe that there are actually Motorola and VM employees who are saying that they are not aware of any issues with the phone - and they say this in the context of forums like this that are FULL of people reporting issues with the phone. I am extremely disappointed with both companies for refusing to either acknowledge that they are working on a fix (or Gingerbread upgrade) or announce that there will be no fix/upgrade. Matt, the Forums Manager, posted the following on the Droid Bionic forum yesterday:
"I know everyone is eager for updated software. We have been working diligently on a software update for DROID BIONIC and have a version in the testing stage; we expect to deliver it to users in 30 to 60 days. The update is targeting issues identified through owner feedback and we're confident it will improve device performance."
Why can't we get an answer one way or the other as to whether there will be a fix or an upgrade for the Triumph? I think a lot of us would be happy with a simple acknowledgement that it is coming, even if the timeframe is still unknown. If it has been decided that there will be no fix or upgrade, then we would like to know that. Triumph users are entitled to the same treatment as the Droid Bionic users, and we have been waiting longer.
