HTC :: What Phone Should Buy For Use On ATT 3G Network?
Apr 23, 2010
I was going to take the plunge into Android but was waiting for the Xperia 10 to be released (being a Sony fanboy for many years). However the camera flash is a huge issue as you apparently have to go through several steps to turn the 'camera light' on as it's not a proper flash.I have always been intrigued with HTC and wanted people's advice on which one I should get. My only 3 requirements are that it be Android based, have a 'real' camera flash and work on ATT's 3G bands.
I have purchased a new Zperia Z3 from sony store in US jersey, and I opened it in India.I have tried several SIM cards but the phone is not detecting any network. Its a unlocked device and totally free from any contract.Indian service centres say they can not repair ot as its not purchased from India. Do I need to return the phone or its a minor problem. All other things in the phone are working perfectly.
I have Xperia Z2 D603 which I dropped and the back of it got cracked and now I have issues of network, my phone can't last even 10 min without losing the signal, and when I do have signal it is only 1 bar or 2 in the centre of city. I want to know if replacing the back of the phone will fix the issue or I have to replace exact thing.
7 days after Sony Xperia Z2 network problem when I get my phone I sent to the service. I often receive phone network failure was not nice at all. I hope the phone securely comes back to me.
im using sony Z3 Dual D6633 , i set the network to manual selection, during that time the screen showed the name of (provider) network i selected or " emergency service only" is it possible that the phone it self change to another network without my knowledge .
My wife's phone stopped working last weekend. I went through the T-mobile technical care people and their solution was to replace the phone. Unfortunately the phone has a small crack in the bottom bezel so they won't replace it unless I pay the $175 deductible. I am hands on enough to fix some parts of the phone (I've replaced the screen on my G3 twice) so I thought I'd give it a shot here.
Her phone will work on wifi, but if you turn wifi off or if she goes out of wifi range her phone stops working. When the t-mobile person tried to have me manually connect it to the network, it said unable to connect to the network, please try again. We did a soft and hard reset. They tried to refresh my network connectivity and none of these options worked. We moved the sim card into my phone and it worked just fine. So obviously there is a hardware issue going on.
My phone stays always connected to the WLAN network wherever available say at my home, at office. When i go to WLAN Wizards and disconnect it. It again get reconnected automatically. Even if I remove all the known connection, it keeps popping up the select WLAN network page. I have no clue why is it happening? can anyone tell me what is the reason and hot to get rid of it.?
I have had my nokia 5530 for around 3 months.since yesterday, the reception bar keeps going up and down by itself.I am with 02 and my sim works fine in another phone.I have soft-reset and hard-reset my phone, It seems ok for now. How do i fix it or should i send it back.
I got my iPhone about a week and a half ago I notice that sometimes when I am talking on the phone the audio is choppy, like it cuts in and out. Like if I'm calling someone the ring will be like... riiii.....ng, ring, rii....ng. Like its losing connection or something, and then when I'm talking to people sometimes I miss what they are saying and because of this. I am using Telus in Canada on 3G+ HSPA network. I was wondering if this is a network issue or an iPhone issue?
I know there are some threads on here with an issue like this but check it out:Last week my iPhone 3G stopped connecting to my wireless network. Since then I have changed the WPA Key and even removed it completely so that there is no password and it still does not connect. I tried my wife's iPhone at the same time and that connected no problem - even on another network my iPhone refuses to connect to a wireless network. Do I need to get it replaced?
My phone won't connect to the mobile network. Everytime I try to connect it the device tell me that it not part of my service plan. I have contacted my mobile provider and they did not find anything wrong and I have put my SIM-card in other phones and the network works on them so their is something wrong with my phone.
i am recently on a blackberry torch9800 locked to vodafone i am wishing to unlock it but cant get past the screen which has your imei num on it as i have read a few sites that you needto get to the screen were it shows were your sim card is how to do this as i have my imei num and mymep id num
The "no network" thing has been going on for a couple of months. I go out somewhere and go to make a call and it says no network is available. I see no bars, but am in a place that always has bars. So I have to turn the phone off and restart it, then I have bars. The phone IS set up to use my wifi at home, when available, but always switched seamlessly, and I never had any problems receiving calls when I go out, or this "no network available" thing.
Then recently, it's started hanging up all the time. I tap something and have to wait several seconds for a response, Very annoying. I updated the system several days ago, and it said there was an update available today, so I updated today, but still a problem.
The network mode on my Samsung galaxy S5 device is always set at GSM only. When I try to change it to WCDMA only or GSM/WCDMA (auto mode) it changes back to GSM only. The area I am has 3G network and most devices I see have H but mine always shows as E no matter what I do. When browsing it takes a long time for pages to open because its always at E.
I have factory reset the device but still facing the same problem.
I bought a Galaxy S5 from Argos very recently since I needed a sim free phone, it was a gift for my brother who was moving abroad. However, he has since informed me that the phone is locked and is not accepting the local sims. Now I feel this may have been my fault because I've heard you need to use a couple UK sims before going abroad which I never did. Anyway, I wanted to grab an unlock code for him to use but all the websites ask what network the phone is locked to, which he can't find since it was originally unlocked from Argos.
So in summary, I need to somehow find out if the phone is locked to a network even though the phone was bought unlocked. Pretty confusing, I know.
After new update, my phone doesn't seem to have a mobile network. I tried calling at&t we did some troubleshooting, they recommended a back up and restore to undo any updates but that didn't work. I have a galaxy s5... I can't go on the Internet or social media unless on WiFi. If I receive picture messages it won't let me download them/view them even on wifi....
does anyone know if this phone runs on the gsm network and cdma? this phone is with cyon i think? but i don't know if they are gsm or cdma.i would love to use this phone outside of korea if was a gsm phone.
I am trying to get HSDPA (H bar on the bar signal) to work on my phone. I am currently working on edge right now. My carrier is AT&T.My brother has an Sony Ericsson Xperia mini pro (unbranded and unlocked) and has AT&T service and he was able to get HSDPA on his phone. I have no idea how he got it nor does he know himself. What app or APN settings do I need to configure in order to get HSDPA (4G)?> I've heard about the thunderbolt app but does that work with this phone? I also tried to copy my brothers APN settings but no luck.
My preferred network right now is set to GSM/ UMTS mode > GSM only Now I know that gsm is only capable of using edge only but what changes do I need to make? I cna only select these from my preferred network settings:
I have an unlocked device originally from T-mobile and now I am in Barbados and the phone will not register on Cable and Wirless' (LIME) 3G network. Even when I do a manual scan it is only showing up Digicel. In reading online it seems that T-Mobile uses different bands for their 3G than some of the other providers. Is there a way to change it? I have seen mention of changing the vendor ID as the bands maybe dictated by software but I have not found anyone that was successful in doing this?
does anyone know how to take the 6300 phone off and on its current network? It seems to be the only solution to a problem my phone has when not being able to send or receive texts?
1. The phone always keeps connecting to my GPRS network (Tele2). When I go to the connections I can see that connection being active and transferring some data (not much, it's almost always at 7 kb). When I put my phone on the table I can hear that strange radio sound on the speakers (=some radio activity from my phone). I checked but there are no other programs that require the connection. I'm not using any email account on the messages menu.
2. Same thing happened when I connected to my neighbour's wlan. It always keeps connecting to it, even after I go to the wlan menu and disconnect it. It just refreshes and goes all the way again to connect to it by any means possible.
My daughter is in italy and purchased a WIND sim for her Nokia E5. It initially worked in the store but when she got home she no longer could connect to the phone network, no voice calls and no sms capability. The home screen of the phone showed WIND in the upper left corner while at the store but now only says 3G. She has tried restarting the phone to no avail
I know alot of people said with 3.1.3 they were unable to unlock the phone to a different network using SNOW.Just wondering if once 4.0 comes around, will that feature come back?
