View 1 Replies View RelatedI just noticed this today that when I'm playing a song on my phone, the volume buttons act as the media player as well switching to the next song. I would often try to increase or decrease the volume, and I realize I can't. I tried a battery pull hoping that would solve the issue. It's frustrating how a person can't hear music at all, and having no use of the volume buttons. I am still under my 30 day warranty, I'm considering taking it back and exchanging for a new one.
View 6 Replies View RelatedOn my iphone 4, the volume buttons all of a sudden stopped turning up or down the volume. This is also bad because I cant do bitesms quick reply. Im sure that this is a software issue but does anyone know what the problem is or what cydia app/theme/etc would have caused this?

View 1 Replies View RelatedThe volume buttons will not control the voulme out side of calls and it works when it is closed to go trought new trexts
View 4 Replies View RelatedMy volume down button sticks out slightly further and is more "clicky" than the volume up button. Volume up is seated closer to the phone and doesn't click quite as much. It's noticeable when any light hits the side of the phone as the volume down button picks up reflections easier since it's sticking out more.

Today I was trying to turn up the volume for my ringer, however neither the or button will make the volume bar show up. These buttons work while adjusting the volume during a phone call. But do not work for music or the ringer.

If the prototypes of the new iPhone we've seen are generally accurate, I really think the move from the rocker volume switch to two dedicated volume buttons opens up a lot of possibilities. I can see being able to navigate through lock screen information like missed calls, e-mail, or texts (if that's added eventually with OS 4 or later), or have each button serve as a quick launch replacement for favorites or add further customization such as being able to call a single contact or launch a particular application.
I have never had any issues with the current volume rocker and I think it works great. The only reason to make the change to dedicated up/down buttons would appear to be to add functionality to them by allowing them to easily be used as two distinct standalone buttons.
I think Apple realized they couldn't add any additional buttons to the iPhone, so the only way to increase options/functionality was to take existing buttons the up/down volume rocker and increase their usefulness and functionality.
I have an issue when using my Musicplayer app. When I either turning up or down the Volume the player pauses the Music. Sometimes it starts by itself again after for example 30 sec. Otherwise I have to go to the musicplayer and push the play button again.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy previous phone (HTC One) was able to control applications like Spotify with the volume buttons on the side of the phone even when the phone was locked. I can't for the life of me figure out a way to convince this device to do anything other than volume control with the volume rocker. I'd just like to use the volume control with short clicks, but if I do a long press it doesn't something else (this may have been a feature of Cyanogen that I was using previously?).
I'd like to use a Long hold on up and down to Next Track / Previous Track for Spotify. Right now if I do this, instead it just blows out my ear drums by maxing the volume quickly. Are there apps that allow me to customize what the volume rocker does in specific states?
Also, does this phone not intelligently recognize the difference between headphones being plugged in vs plugging it into an Auxillary jack? That was something else that worked well on my One as well.
I just bought from ebay an Samsung Galaxy S5 phone Neverlocked and I found a issue.
I'm not sure if was before upgrade Android to 5.0 but now the Speaker/Volume Buttons don't have any effect.
Headphones works perfectly.
Anyone experiencing the rattling problem due to the volume buttons are loose?

View 6 Replies View RelatedMy recently purchased Iphone 5 works great with one annoying issue. The volume buttons on the side are reversed. The button with the minus sign increases the volume and is directly underneath the mute toggle. The button with the plus sing decreases the volume.Â
View 6 Replies View Relatedmy volume on my iPhone isnt working right. this is a 4S, and over 2yrs old. i've never had problems with buttons beforeÂ
now when i am trying to watch a YouTube video for example, or typing clicks- there is no sound coming out of the phone speaker. whenever i press the volume buttons up/down, the "ringer" square comes on but no volume bars are displayed. whenever i watch a YouTube or listen to a podcast i can not raise or lower the volume on the screen either. i do hear the phone ring, and hear alarms through the speaker. Â
i have tried a 'shut down' and then a 'reset' (pressing power/home button together to power down). but i could not lower or raise volume either. i can listen w/headphones, and AirPlay. i updated the iOS a while ago (2 months?) and this happened much after the update.

I am new to BB and am learning my way through it. Hopefully this is just a setting, but there are 3 buttons on the right side of the phone. The one near the bottom is for the camera, and there are a couple above that that the user guide says are the volume buttons. When I press the them to increase or drecrease the volume, nothing happens.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to turn the volume up/down with the side rocker buttons, but the dang things do not respond (and yes, the case has been removed). I've had to reboot my N5 each and every time, and its getting very old very fast. I find I have to go into settings and change it there. I've read that there might be an app running that is using my volume, not allowing me to change it. When I went into my apps to see what's running, its the usual stuff. Nothing that would be using it. So, is there an app to find out if there is a rogue app running I don't know about?
