View 3 Replies View RelatedMy Verizon Lg G3 (VS98523C) just recently received the 5.0.1 update and I'm noticing that when I swipe down the notications panel, it's the same as before (I'd heard I would have to swipe down twice or with two fingers).
Also, my lockscreen is the same as before. Yes, I get the new style notifications but I'm also able to put widgets on it (I read that was gone). And, when there is a notification on my lockscreen, and I tap it to get to that info, I'm then asked to swipe the whole screen again.
Did I not get the full update?
Is there anyway to get rid of the 5.0 update on the notification bar? I downgraded back to 4.4.4 and this notification stays there. Now my husband has the S5 also but his never notified him that there was even an update but I sure would like to get rid of it on mine

View 1 Replies View RelatedSo I was already impressed with the M8. I got it the day it arrived at Verizon and I have loved it since. The only thing I am not happy with is the lack of RBG notify LED. But I'm over it.
This past weekend I bought a 60" Samsung Smart TV and while I was discovering it's features I came across something called mirror casting. The M8 is compatible with it and I'm able to pair it with the TV and mirror my phone right onto the 60" screen. THAT'S FREAKIN AWESOME!! I can put anything up there! Pictures, movies, texts. Anything. I have to still manipulate the phone to navigate what I'm doing, but really, I love it. Especially since I pay $9.99/mo for the WWE Network and now I can mirror cast the app and any pay-per-view without having to hard-connect anything to the TV. What a feature!
Updated M8 to Lollipop (not by a custom ROM), are the Google Apps displayed with transparent notifications? (in other words, does the color extend to the very top on all of the google apps?)
View 2 Replies View RelatedI got the lollipop upgrade and now only have one notification sound, the whistle. And I can't figure out how to get my other notifications to work. They play in the notification menu and I can select them as default but they won't work when I get an actual notification. Ringtones work fine why won't my notifications?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI just updated late night and now the volume rocker on the side only seems to change ringer and media. there is no option for notification. You have to go to the Settings>Sounds to change it. WTH. Is there an easier way? I am always changing it based on where I am.
View 2 Replies View RelatedAfter installing Verizon's Android update, the ability to assign different notification sounds is either missing or buried. It is no longer an option under application manager, app settings or on the applications menu.
View 1 Replies View RelatedEver since Lollipop upgrade I see many issues with my Xperia Z2. But most of all that makes me mad is that the upgrade changed my notification sounds I had customized. not only that now I can not select my favorite sounds for specific notification. can only get sounds and ringtones that are on Lollipop by default.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI'm super confused regarding the new way sounds, vibration, muting, and notifications are handled in Lollipop.
For instance, I just found out that to get LED notifications, I have to have vibration or sound turned on. No LED notifications on mute/silent? Are they serious? There seems to be no way to get a notification now without having my phone vibrating or making noise on my desk at work, which means I'm either annoying my coworkers or not getting notifications. It seemed that if I want to disable vibration and still get LED alerts, I need to go into every app and disable it there, which is totally counterintuitive—I used to be able to control this by pressing the volume button on the side of the phone.
Not only that, but I currently have vibration turned on so that I can get LED alerts, and I unchecked vibration in Hangouts for both Hangouts messages and SMS messages, and it's still vibrating. Is there any way at all to get LED notifications without vibration?
Every time I unlock wake the screen up using the side lock button, i get a notification saying it is searching for GPS - Why does it do this every time? I havent moved locations and I'm also connected to wifi so I don't feel it is necessary to constantly check the GPS position
View 24 Replies View RelatedPrior to updating to Lollipop I was able to easily adjust notification volume by simply touching the volume control on side of phone, then selecting the cog next to ringtone volume. That disappeared with Lollipop update. Is there any way to adjust notification volume other than going all the way to settings?

View 1 Replies View RelatedSo on kitkat i had the voicemail icon stuck. i use google voice, and i think this is just a standard verizon voicemail icon. I've checked and there are no new voicemails.
I figured when i upgraded to lollipop it would go away. well guess what, it didn't. so i did a factory reset, and now it's back.
I found that by deleting the data and wiping the cache on one of the 4 phone apps, i'm able to get rid of it, but then when i reset the device it comes back.
I had to update my S5 over the weekend and since the update I no longer receive notifications when I have a text message. All of my setting are set correctly. What can be done to fix this?

My data and voice works fine with them (Wind Mobile) using 3G but I don't see the LTE enable/disable toggle option and therefore I'm not able to connect to their 4G network. I have 3G enable/disable toggle so seems like the option is no more available to me.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI purchased an unlocked 4s to use with my T-Mobile SIM. I had previously been using a 3GS on T-Mobile. Since the update to version 5, apple has removed the settings toggle to disable the 3G radio. This causes a strange issue when 3G is forced to be on, after every call, the radio resets its self, dropping to 1 bar and searching before reconnecting. On version 5.0.1 I was able to jailbreak the phone and install a second party toggle to disable the 3G radio, this restored the normal operation of the phone on the T-Mobile network. But since upgrading to 5.1, I am unable to install this toggle, and it has made the phone really annoying to use. Why has apple removed this toggle? Have they moved it or is there another way to disable it?
