I have issues with songs skipping rapidly for no reason, using both the google play music app or the play app.
It also occasionally comes on by itself for no reason and starts playing songs.
the songs I recently bought on itunes I somehow can't play on my phone's iPod.When I click for a certain song to play, it would just automatically switch to another random song.This happens with the songs I recently bought. They're not explicit songs or anything, I have no parental blocks on my music or anything. It just altogether skips those songs when I click on them.And I bought them legally! So I don't know what's happening, I'm just not able to play my music?

It's random, which eliminates the possibility of a bad file or corruption during the sync, and seems worse when the 4g function is turned on. Interestingly, the Photon is advertised as having 1GB of RAM, but the most I ever have available is 440MB.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI just recently found problems with downloads certain songs. Specifically the artists Chromium, Deas Vail, Celldweller and Hawthorne Heights. What happens is I download them as usual the whole file downloads with no errors BUT the songs are firstly filed incorrectly on the P.C (not in folders of artist and album). Secondly they don't have any metadata/ info embedded in the file (artist album publisher etc) and Finally but most importantly they don't play, not on my winamp or nokia media player. If I use nokia media player an exclamation mark in a yellow triangle appears next to the Song. This has only happened with those artists so far. I'm using a Nokia N8 unlimited Music subscription.

I synced all songs in my iTunes with my new Motorola Atrix 2. It downloaded all the songs to my 16gb microsd card. When I play songs on my music player with my headphones, the music will stop randomly. Some other times it won't stop and will play for a long time. I had a feeling it was somehow related to turning the screen off using the power button after I start my playlist but I am not sure about it. Again with this case, sometimes it stops and other times it would play correct. There are some apps as on my auto-end list but music player isn't one of them

View 14 Replies View RelatedWhen I'm connected via Bluetooth and skip a song with the steering wheel controls it wakes the screen which causes increased battery drain. On Pandora the screen stays off to conserve battery. To me it doesn't make sense for the screen to come on when switching songs. As stated it increases battery consumption and you shouldn't be looking at your phone when driving anyway. I don't know if the same can be said with Bluetooth headphones as I don't have any to test with. People switch songs until they find one they like. If they like a song and don't know the artist then they could wake the screen to see the information at that point. To me this is a HUGE negative as phone manufacturers are making phones thinner and thinner thus reducing battery size. Not to mention upon switching songs it increases the chance of accidentally skipping another song since the controls come on the wake screen. I've tested this on wired headphones with controls and the screen doesn't wake so it only seems to be a Bluetooth issue.

I think the problem is the android lollipop. I used to connect my z5 in jbl xtreme. my huawei telpad running android kitkat has no problem in playing music using bluetooth. But my z5 and my wife's asus selfie running android lollilop there is a lag or skipping problem.

I know this is an issue with the GS5 and I have researched a bit on the internet. The problem is that anywhere from every 20 seconds to once a minute, audio skips using Bluetooth. It doesn't matter if I am using the stock player, Pandora, Google or Amazon, etc.
The only consistent solution I have found from others is to leave the display on as the problem only occurs when the display "sleeps". This does indeed work for me as well, but I think it is ridiculous to have to leave your display on to listen to skip free music.
Another possible solution I saw was to 'overclock' your CPU while sleeping, however I am not a rooter so I don't know if this works.
Any app to keep the screen lit (longest setting is 10 minutes from Samsung)?
S6 Edge or regular S6 experienced the infamous Bluetooth skipping issue? Both my wife's new S6 Edge and mine are doing it. Both have latest Verizon update, I have cleared cache partition, cleared Bluetooth partition, tried the keeping screen on trick to no avail. Having your music Skip no matter which music app I use, natter the coverage area as well.

I have a Vivaz phone and whenever I am listening to music, the music is skipping. It is a little hard to explain, but other people describe it as being similar to when you shake a CD player while listen to it. All the music I have is MP3 format, 128kbps, but have also tried the music in 192kbps and 320kbps and there is no improvement between the formats.
I have also tried listening to music through both 3.5mm jack and bluetooth headphones (Sony Ericsson HBH-DS205), and strangely enough, there is a difference. The skipping appears no matter what, but is far less noticeable through the 3.5mm jack. I have also tried the music through the default Media Player and through TTPod. I have also tried reinstalling the firmware, reformatting the memory card (16GB by the way) and deleting all music then re-transferring.
I use my D3 to listen to music. I have the mp3s stored on a memory card in my phone. I have music version v4.1.513. Before the update the music played fine. After the update the music will skip/click when ever my cell or data signal changes. I work in a very low / no cell signal lab so the phone is continuously losing signal and getting it back. This cause the music to skip/click every time. Not related to the update my phone still does not like to play music over bluetooth and do navigation at the same time. I have the phone linked to my car radio for navigation and I listen to music from the phone. It will reboot after about 15 minutes of use.

Has anyone had any issues with the music player skipping about 30 seconds into any songs? Not just once but a few times while using. I run 25 to 30 miles a week and the music player is really getting annoying! I've tried 4 different sets of headphones and it's definitely not the headphones themselves maybe something internal. Also on my second phone here. The first one started randomly resetting itself, also had skipping issues. This one only has the skipping issues so far.

Using it on Verizon's 4g network, and have discovered a really annoying issue: When playing audio across a bluetooth connection (either to a droid roadster or my 2012 chevy sonic), there are occasional skips in the music. This happens about once every 4-6 seconds, and the cutout is brief, about 1/8th of a second. It does not happen for phone calls, nor do the skips happen if I disable bluetooth and listen via the built in speaker or the headphone jack.
Wifi is disabled, and the source of the audio doesn't seem to matter. I've tried Pandora, Tune-in radio, and locally saved music, same result. It's not the network, as I just upgraded from a Samsung Droid Charge (also a 4g phone) which does not have this issue. I've unpaired from all sources, and re-paired, rebooted the phone, tried while charging / not charging, enabling gps / disabling gps, everything I can think of to isolate the issue. This phone is my in-car entertainment device, and if I can't use it for it's intended purpose, it's useless to me.
On day two of owning my X2 I got a error when it tried to read the external SD card. I called Verizon and they had me format it on my laptop. I did this and then reloaded my 4 gig of music back to it. Yesterday evening it did it again and now Verizon is sending me a new card. In the mean time I am using a 1 gig card that I had left over from my Storm. The first thing I noticed is when I transfered the music from my laptop to the 1 gig sd card via a card reader the transfer rate was near 6 meg. When I transfered my music to the card that is bad the transfer rate never got about 2.5 meg. I now notice after listening to music for the last 4 hours at work it never skipped at all. I had very frequent skipping with the original card. Another thing I noticed is the phone doesn't lag at all when I am listening to music.
View 12 Replies View RelatedI stream a ton through blue tooth to my vehicle (Jeep wrangler via Uconnect). I get bad skipping periodically. To explain a song will be playing and I notices there is a "skip" in the song and as time goes on the skipping gets worse, the song fast forwards a second. Mostly happens on the Nokia + app, but occasionally happens on pandora.
I tried head pones and I didn't notice it, but to be fair I only did it for one or two songs. I do not know if it is a BT issue or if it is something to do with the storage. I turned off driving mode, turned it back on.... Also, music occasionally stops when I get a text message or an email. Not all the time, just maybe 50% of the time? I have to pause the stream/song and hit play again for the music to continue. I had no issues with my GNEX (went through several....POS phone....)
so in my car with my bluetooth on listening to my groove music... all of a sudden it start skipping at playing back at probably 130% speed. what the heck? Pandora works fine with no skipping.

When I play one of my playlists on Itunes from my laptop the end of one song blends perfectly with the beginning of the next (I set the crossfade up). The same playlist played on the Iphone doesn't reflect the same blend.

When I am connected to my home WiFi I can play all the songs. However, when I'm on 3G (no 4G in my area) only some of the songs will play. I tried to play an album in the car today and noticed that some songs were in bold while the rest were not. The songs in bold played in order, but it skipped all sorts of songs in between. I'm really at a loss as to what is going on.
