IPhone :: Deleted Songs In 4 On The Music App But When I Sync With The Computer The Songs Disappear?
Apr 28, 2012
I deleted songs in my iphone on the music app but when I sync with the computer the songs disappear. How can I delete songs on my phone but keep them in iTunes?
I'd like to sync my iPhone to a new mac. I was syncing it on my old desktop which is gone now, and it was updating the music by syncing it to a playlist. I don't want to plug it in and lose all the songs because I'm now syncing to a different library. Is there a way to plug my iPhone in to a new computer with a new library under a new iTunes store account, and be able to add songs from that new computer/account without losing the ones that are synced to the phone right now? Can an iPhone have two different providers assigned to it? I'd like to have one US provider and one Canada provider, so that when I cross the border I can turn one network on and one network off, depending on which country I'm in each week.
I have went into Itunes and clicked on music and unchecked a bunch of songs I don't want to sync, I also went to the device and music tab and checked selected playlists artists, albums, and genres and scrolled down to albums and unchecked the ones I don't want synced, then I clicked sync in Itunes, but after the songs are still on the device why is this? They don't seem to be removed from the Iphone.
Mostly, my 5800 handles my music files OK. However occasionally it just deletes some of the songs. So I have to copy them on again. Mostly this just happens once but sometimes again. Several different albums have been affected this way. I have a particular album that is constantly incorrectly filed in the Library. I have tried ripping a couple of formats. As wma files, they are presented correctly but some songs are regularly erased completely. They are suddenly not on the phone at all! As mp3s they appear as Unknown Artist in the Library even though they appear correct and all file details including performing artist are correct in the file manager. They are assigned correctly in Ovi Music but are not assigned correctly on the phone.
Doubletwist even though it claims mtp support my htc one can't get songs sync perfectly. Try using doubletwist and sync a playlist and tell me they don't receive an error? Htc Sync manager takes forever to load and the playlists it imports from itunes duplicate everytime I start the program. Any other options besides drag and drop? I prefer not to use google music as I want my tracks coming my my itunes.
If I use the option to convert higher bit rate songs to 128 AAC for my iPhone, I can no longer see my ringtones that I've synced on the iPhone itself. When I plug the iPhone in, iTunes shows that they are on my phone but when selecting ringtones for contacts, they are not visible. When I uncheck the option and resync, the ringtones are now there. I've tried changing the name of the tones but no luck. Anyone else have this issue or a solution?
Whenever i transfer songs to my memory card,I can see that thye've transfered but as soon as my phone has finished searching the card, the songs are no longer there.if i take my memory card out and open it on my pc it's as if they never transfered. It doesn't matter what method i use I have tried several memory cards that work in other phones and i have ensured that the memory card/ usb cable has been removed properly.
i can't always delete music from my iphone by swiping right to left - only 50% of the time this works. the other half of the time, the music will start to play Is there a way to plug in my phone to my laptop and dump unwanted songs all at once?
I deleted all the songs off my iPhone, But when I open up my music, all the songs are still there! I can't play them, but they are still listed. I cannot do the swipe and delete, I went to my manage storage but it said there was no data for my music. iTunes says they're gone as well and I restarted my phone but they are still there.
Whenever I try to sync my playlists onto my MotoACTV from Itunes only half of the songs make it. I received a message stating that "662 files are protected" so they did copy over. How do I unprotect those songs? I have looked in Itunes and cannot find out how.
I accidentally deleted songs from my itunes but not from the cloud. Now, the songs are on my iphone 4S with the cloud logo next to them, but the original files no longer exist, so they just sit there. I have since rebought the album, and now the track listing has the unusable tracks and the purchased tracks. I want to get rid of the unusable tracks that I no longer have the original file for.
How do I delete songs off my Iphone4 from a previous computer. I got a Mac so a new iTunes account and i have songs on my iPhone even when I delete all the ones off iTunes
I have my iPhone synced with my home computer and I play the songs on my work computer. No transfering, just plug in and play on iTunes. Here is where I am having issues, when I start playing a playlist, if the song is not checked it will skip it (or in the case of some playlists none are checked and it will only play the one I double click). How can I check other songs to be played? Although I click the little box to get a check mark while at work - they never appear.
I have about 6 or 7 songs that I want to permanently delete from my iTunes library and iPhone. They keep showing up even after I've unchecked/deleted them. I've used the manual option and selected the artists, genres, etc. that I still want, but the deleted songs keep appearing. I bought these songs off of the iTunes store I didn't use my iPhone. I don't have the iTunes Match option turned on my phone, nor do I use iCloud. I don't know what else to do besides manually selecting all of my songs and putting them into a folder, deleting the blasphemous songs that I don't want anymore, deleting my iTunes library and resetting my iPhone and copying the songs from the folder back into my iTunes library.
I just brought my new iPhone 4 home, and started syncing it. To my chagrin, I realized that I have more music than the 16GB can fit. So, I unchecked all of the tracks that I don't really listen to. Unfortunately, I can't figure out where to tell the phone to only sync the tracks that are selected. I remember this used to be pretty easy.
a few songs won't sync to my iPhone, I can play them in iTunes, and if i go to select artists to sync it recognises them, but if i sync whole library they just don't go on. How do I fix it?
When I try to sync my phone to iTunes I get a message that pops up that says "songs not found" even though they are all useable in iTunes. When I called apple they said it was a hardware issue but since I dont believe in paying extra for support
I have an iPhone 4. When syncing my music, I only upload certain playlists. Recentley, when syncing my music, it shows that all the music is added on the memory space bar at the bottom screen, but once the sync is done, it goes back to where it started (ex: before sync: 2.4GB, during sync: 6.4GB, after sync: 2.4GB. This has never been a problem with any of my old iPhones or my iPod nanos and touches.
