So I just got my HTC One M8 today. Unfortunately, I'm having an extremely frustrating problem with the keyboard. Whenever I touch the bottom half of the space bar, the keyboard hides. This happens every single time. I installed Swiftkey and the issue is still there. No, I'm not pressing the home button by accident. This makes the keyboard almost completely unusable unless I press the top of the space bar painfully deliberately.
For about a week my phone has been adding extra periods and spaces when I press the space bar. This has been happening with SMS, MMS and email. I knw about that short-cut (press the space bar twice to enter periods) but its doing that after almost every word. I have changed the sensitivity to the lowest setting possible but it continues to do it, even when i text slow. Not sure as to what I should do.
my blackberry curve usually works perfectly fine but in this last week its been crashing a lot.. & for hours on end! The only thing I can do is scroll, I can't press the trackpad in, use the keyboard, or any other buttons just scroll.
Is there a known issue with the Search Screen Keyboard not hiding itself when you leave the search screen in IOS 5.1.1? Ever since I upgraded, if I go to the search screen, then flick the screen back to the first Aps page, the keyboard stays there in the middle of the screen and I have to click the off button off and on again.
I have a Nokia XpressMusic and I bought a memory card with (allegedly) 1.9 GB of storage, yet the card runs out of space when I use up a small percentage of space. I have formatted the thing, but still no joy.
kind of obnoxious this doesn't exist without jailbreaking buuuut i can't be the only one who wants to be able to hide/toggle and app to be invisible/absent from my homescreens (apple default apps in particular) and be able to show them again via a menu in settings or something similar. of all the 26 default apps apple sees fit to cram onto my device i use maybe half that on a regular basis.i've never even opened reminders, videos, Internet, stocks, voice memos or itunes and would love to be able to get them out of my way.
I used to be able to set my caller ID as hidden for making calls but now it appears that I have lost that feature. The respective menu is showing as ON (settings, phone, show my caller ID - ON) and greyed out, so I can't disable it. How can cancel it and have my caller ID back to hidden?
Most apps work great with the status (top) and navigation (bottom) bars in my Xperia Z5 compact. For instance, Netflix will disable both bars in fullscreen videos. Most games do the same.
However, some apps like Xplane or German media apps keep showing the navigation bar. This looks rather silly and takes away precious space on my screen.
Is there any option to manually remove the bars in these situations? Is there a way without "root"?
I'm looking to get a Nexus 6P, but I'll be using it for around two years (give or take, depending on what devices I can choose from in two years), and I've heard that AMOLED burn-in may become prevalent within a year or so. For some probably won't notice, even I probably wouldn't if I didn't find out that burn in exists, but I'm paranoid, so I'm thinking to use GMD's Hide Nav Bar (Root) app that I've been using on my Nexus 4 (for the sake of extra screen real-estate).
I'm wondering if this will minimize and effectively prevent burn-in of the Nav/Status bars? My main concern is the Nav bar, as Samsung's devices don't have them, making burn-in far less of an issue.
I have setup fingerprint for security and I would like to know - is there a way to hide notifications from the lock screen and to disable the notification tray access from the lock screen when the device is locked (while allowing everything when it's unlocked)? Even when my device gets locked everything is still accessible from the lock screen.
I don't want to disable the notifications altogether from the Sounds and notifications->notifications on lock screen menu.
I used the trick to hide the newsstand before, but I just upgraded to the 4S and tried hiding it again using 5.1, no luck. I tried and tried and could not get it, has anyone been able to manage it?

I have noticed with my Blackberry 9700 v6.0 on a BES express, the when I go into my mail, then view folders, I can see my entire email folder structure in outlook. When I select a folder to view the contents I can only see items that I have dropped in there. All my rule based emails (basically when an email comes in I have an outlook rule to move it to a folder) don't show up.
This morning in my notification center, I have a new item I have never seen before... it has been running for hours. I haven't installed any new apps, I presume an app update changed something. The App title is "Cloud Gallery" in the status, if I click on it it pops up a notification that says "Hiding duplicate images may take a while.
I've recently got a sony and I've noticed when i message people it has the blank blue silouette when I or the person who sends the message is there a way of hiding the profile because its a little bit annoying.
I've had my S6 Edge for about 2 weeks now and have loved every moment of its ownership.I came from a HTC M8 where I could go into the gallery and hide albums from not being seen !? After transferring everything from my M8 to the S6 I for the life me cannot hide any albums. Of course each time a friend or buddy wants to see my new phone I'm so paranoid of them going into the gallery to see " pictures " they shouldn't be seeing !?
Is it me os there no way to hide this unlike my old M8 you can just click a tab here or there and its hidden ?? Oh by the way don't bother asking what pictures wink wink !??
Is there anyway to remove/hide the carrier name (AT&T) from the status bar? In my Moto X 2014, there was an option is the settings and it would remove the AT&T from the status bar but I can't find an option in the S6.
Also, is there a way to remove/hide the 'time' from the status bar?
I upgraded my bold to the 9780 & have a question re the new OS6. I have somehow managed to hide one of my picture folders & i cant work out how to get it back. I think when I clicked on the folder I selected the "hidden" check box but now the folder has disappeared completely so I cant seem to recall it. In the previous OS this was managed in the options menu where you could hide or unhide specific folders. how to undo?
Is there a way to hide what songs played during a workout you share via Facebook or Twitter?I don't want my friends to know I listened to Cher's "If I Could Turn Back Time" on repeat when running.
