BB Curve 8500 :: 8520 Photos Showing On BB But Hiding When Connected To Pc
Aug 5, 2010I have a Blackberry Curve 8520 and have a media card inserted. All I want to do is upload my photos from the phone to my PC - I have downloaded the most recent Media Sync software and when I connect the BB, 16 photos only come up - there are more than that and these are the old photos that have previously been 'deleted'. The photos which I am viewing on the phone are nowhere to be seen. I have tried to enable USB on the memory menu and I just get these 16 old pictures.I have looked at the device on My Computer, and I can see these blasted 16 photos in the 'pictures' folder in the blackberry folder, but when I open the 'camera album' it is empty.How can this be?I think there may be a ghost in the machine, and I will be finding out soon as the **bleep** thing will be thrown against the wall and stamped on repeatedly!

Feb 14, 2011I downloaded the Blackberry Desktop Manager to be able to transfer my pictures from my PC which I did have success in doing. I've resetted my phone a couple of times because the home screen display is on top of my wallpaper or a picture that I am using as wallpaper. I've tried different ways to remove or change the appearance of the screen but nothing works, have of my picture is hiding behind a darker screen that I believe is the default screen for my blackberry. I would like removing the dark screen from my blackberry and only display the picture that I choose.

Jan 27, 2010Had my BB on Orange 1 week PAYG. It took a week to bring my phone number from previous carrier,
Meanwhile I was given a temp one. The number appears when I press send but although my number has now been transferred, the temp number still appears when I press send. Don't remember whether I input the number when setting up or whether it appeared automatically when the phone read the sim card. Please is there a way of me entering the new number or do I need to wait for Orange to do something, or tell Orange?I'm sure there is a very simple answer.
BB Curve :: Cannot Dial Phone Number From Browser
Jun 9, 2011I "upgraded" to OS 6.0. Now my BB will not allow me to click on a phone number that I see on the internet and dial it. I have to read the number, memorize it, close the browser, and push in the numbers manually. T-Mobile keeps telling me that it is the webpage that I am on, but it clearly not that. OS 6.0 is quite the downgrade. Can anybody hear any of the lousy notifers that they call ringtones? The helpdesk directs you to buy ringtones from appworld.

Aug 23, 2011Only had my Blackberry Curve 8520 for 1 week. I have changed the phone number from the one supplied to my previous number to avoid having to notify all my cotacts of a new number. When I go into the calls screen (the one brought up when you press the green phone button) On the "My Number" line it is still showing the supplied number not the one I have changed to. I went into the Virgin Media Store today but I was informed that it cannot be altered.

Jul 3, 2012I have set up my Curve 8360 but I cannot adjust the number of rings of the actual phone as I can for other notifiers. I have seen the message in the Blackberry manual that says that this might be controlled by the provider - in this case Vodafone. I have contacted them but they say they have no control over this. They can provide me with a code to extend the time before it goes to voicemail but it does not affect the number of rings. I can amend the volume and I have control over the vibration and LED but I can't change the number of rings from the current 1.

Dec 3, 2015I sync contacts with a corporate Exchange / Outlook account. I can manage contacts on the phone or PC. Any contact who has say a business, home or mobile number and a fax number specified, if I go to the dialer, start typing their name, it does show the contact and a number (no indication of type such as fax or cell) so I tap that choice. Sadly, no, I can't just tell from looking at the number if it is fax or not. The phone dials the fax # which of course is incredibly annoying to my ear and that this dumb phone doesn't know not to try a fax number as the first choice for any contact who has a fax number.
I know I can set the default number per contact but I have hundreds of contacts and to go through each one to see if they have a fax and change it would really suck. Is there seriously no way to tell the phone not to use fax as first choice by default?

Even when I transferred numbers from my Envy to my Blackberry a lot of the contacts went under "Work" rather than "Mobil".How can I change it so that by default it comes up under mobile (since that's the majority of numbers I add to my contacts)?Also, is there a way to easily switch the classification of a number? Lately I've been just going into the contact and retyping it, but doing that for all of my contacts will be a pain.

Mar 15, 2012kind of obnoxious this doesn't exist without jailbreaking buuuut i can't be the only one who wants to be able to hide/toggle and app to be invisible/absent from my homescreens (apple default apps in particular) and be able to show them again via a menu in settings or something similar. of all the 26 default apps apple sees fit to cram onto my device i use maybe half that on a regular basis.i've never even opened reminders, videos, Internet, stocks,voice memos or itunes and would love to be able to get them out of my way.

Sep 27, 2012I am trying to use a new simcard for my Blackberry Curve 9300. The new simcard does not work in that it only allows me to do emergency calls. When I look at options/device/advanced settings/simcard I see that everthing is distabled and the phone number is "unknown number". I read on another website that my device is not locked if all options say distabled.Can anyone tell me what does this mean?
