In the photos album (computer -> apple internal storage -> DCIM) there are extra icons which are non removable. the icons have no names. about 1.2 kb in size. no info at all when i checked the properties. whenever i try to delete, the error messgae shows up. "the delete operation has failed. the device has either stopped responding or has been disconnected." if i try to copy to desktop, error message: "an unexpected error is keeping you from copying the file...error 0x00000000: operation completed successfully" how to get rid?
Anyone knows if we can still do this with OS5? specifically with .545 with filescout? We used to be able to have gmail icon for our gmail box, yahoo icon for our yahoo boxes, etc. Anyone knows how we can do this in OS5.0.0.545? Or we hv do fix this via custom themes?
My E71 came with the Tiger Woods PGA Tour game pre-installed, but recently the game icon began to duplicate itself... Now I am left with three PGA game icons in my installations folder and none of them works... I also tried to uninstall the game, but only one of the icons allows uninstall and that too it gives an error halfway thru, saying 'Removing Failed!'...I've tried Nokia MIDlet restorer, but that didn't work either...
Well I spent two hours in Gimp (Like Photoshop) Making this mock up, I wanted to see what a folder Icon would look like. (Hey I haven't used Gimp in ages) I Tried to make it accurate pixel for pixel what it may look like on the retina display. Please don't laugh at my wi-fi symbol, that was near impossible to make, (With my gimp abilities atleast).
EDIT: You have to understand that actual size looks huge on your computer screen, because this is representing a 326 ppi screen.

I have recently updated my samsung galaxy s6 to android 5.1.1, since updating, my launcher, apex pro isn't showing the icons within a folder on my home screen any more, its basically a folder that contained all my game apps.I assume the issue was apex in someway maybe not being fully compataible with 5.1.1 but im not sure? Th odd thing is, when i open tap the game folder, even though its all blank with no icons, they do seem to be there, but just invisible, if i tap where i know apps used to be in the folder, they do actually stop open, which is odd.
I have tried deleting the folder then doing a restore in apex but the same thing happens. Also since updating to 5.1.1 some screens have also been a little laggy and my home screen was just black at one point and just showing the notification section / time but everything else was black and wouldn't go off, i had to restart phone to get it back to normal.
After we reseted my W580i phone today the folder Icons which was located in pictures is missing. As far as I remember it was there by default and I had used the pics with different faces for my contacts. Is there any possibility to get back these files?
Is there a way on the Xoom with ICS to create folder on the homescreens (like on my Atrix or an iPad) to organize icons or do we still need to use 3rd party apps for that kind or function?
I no longer see my task and memo lists on the home screen although I can search for them. Many apps were loaded that I do not want. How do I clean this up?
I updated my OS to 5.0.0.484 with no problems, except one...my personal email folder is now gone and I can't figure out how to get it back. Email itself is working fine and new mail showing up in the default 'Messages' folder, but I want to have my personal email folder back.
Over the past few weeks, my iPhone 4 has shown the blue update progess bar on one of my folders. When I open the folder, no app is being updated and the bar remains. I've tried turning the phone off but to no avail.
How do I force my X10 mini to update the Albumthumbs folder? My individual music folders have cover art in them and when I play on my PC via Media Go or Windows Media Player the cover art is displayed. But it is not displayed on the phone when I use the phone media player. The album folders have folder.jpg images and additionally the album tracks have embedded cover art. The art shows in the photo album on the phone so there is no problem with the larger image. For some reason it has not created entries in the Albumthumbs folder and I assume that is why the art does not display when I'm playing the music via the phone. How do I force the albumthumbs to be created? What normally controls their creation?
I've got problem after my lollipop update (I've updated my mobile yesterday), the icons are very big the same as before lollipop update. Is there any possibility to change the size? I've been searchin in the Internet and in my mobile settings, but I cannot find it. Or should I stay with my Nova Launcher forever?

I got the error 606 java error and with much head scratching I finally got the phone to plug into my computer to perform an update. When prompted to do the update I checked the box backup and update. The backup completed and went straight into the update. Once the update was complete the restore process began and that's when it all went south. The restore failed in the middle with and error, IM sorry no screen shot, but stated restore failed temporary backup will be stored in.... I was so frustrated I closed the box and couldn't find the folder. I was wondering if there's a place that I haven't looked that it would be accessible. I checked in the backup folder and searched for .ipd folders and nothing. the odd thing is the restore managed to restore my pictures ring tones apps but not contacts or saved messages.
yesterday i set my storm on the dock to my computer, started up dm. an update on my core applications 5.0 was available so i proceeded with the update. now all of those pushed icons for bing, my verizon, Internet, etc. keep popping up without a reboot! anyone else come across this?before the update i would remove these icons in my service books and they wouldn't pop up until after a reboot. since this latest update the icons pop up every half hour or so. very annoying to say in the least!
i apologize, i know this has been discussed already but this is getting so ridiculous! verizon keeps telling me "there's nothing they can do".is there a way to go back and "un-do" this update? i know we can't permanently delete these pushed icons, only hide them.
I just recently updated my Moto x 2014 to lollipop and noticed there is two icons for the photo app in my app drawer. They both bring you to the stock photo app.
Finally installed GB, immediately noticed from icon visual changes, thats cool, however the H+ icon in the notifications bar, is a white box now (with H+ in black) and the battery is asolid green battery shape, both icons before were much better detail wise, can I change those or stuck with them?2) At teh bottom the green phone has change positions and graphics, ok I supposed will get used to it, same for O moved to right and different icon, ok again. However I now have two in middle one envelope and one odd blue one, I'd like to move them, but do not seem able to, holding down the icon and moving to trash does not work
I am trying to synchronize my laptop calendar with my BB calendar through Microsoft Outlook with no success. When I use the BB Desktop Software for the Curve 8530, I did the following:
I connected the laptop to the BB with a USB cable. I invoked the BB Desktop Software and connected with the BB. I viewed the conflict resolution dialogue box and updated both fields in the device and Microsoft Outlook with highlighted values.
I received error message "Error encountered. Error code - 0x80040fb3. Check documentation." I pressed "OK". I received the message "Unable to complete synchronization". I pressed "OK". Then I hit the "Synch" button on the dialogue box. The message "one or more configured folders is not available. Update folder mapping and try again."
Then I clicked on "organizer" button in the dialogue box. I clicked on "configure settings". I clicked "advanced" after seeing that the "calendar" and "address" book were checked. The error message "no available message stores" was displayed. I clicked "OK". The "Advanced" menu appeared, however the "map folder" button was not highlighted and the message "no folder mapping is available for calendar section".
My e-mail is being synchronized from Hotmail through to Outlook. I can see my Hotmail e-mail in Outlook. My calendar is being synchronized from Hotmail through to Outlook. I can see my Hotmail calendar in Outlook. My address books are not being synchronized. My calendars are not being synchronized.
after installing the Android 5.1.1 update on my Galaxy S6 edge almost all home screen icons have disappeared, even the bottom ones like phone, contacts and messages. The apps icons in the app drawer have also completely disappeared. The apps are still there and working, but I can only access them when I get a new notification.I have tried rebooting several times, and clearing the Touchwiz launcher data, but nothing changes.
This is not the same post as the other "hiding icons." I checked. What I was wondering was; is there a way to hide the 8 icons I have showing at the bottom of my screen, until I touch the screen? The idea is when my phone isn't in use I would like the icons to go away. Sort of like a screen saver. It's a BB Storm 2, 9550.
I'm a new BB 8330m user (carrier is Sprint).I have an icon for Pocket Express (which came with the phone) on my screen that I can't remove. I have deleted it from the applications list and do not see it in the modules list but the icon still shows.I also have icons that have the "Hide" checked but are not really hidden. The icon looks as though it is transparent.
I've got my messages, emails, etc. etc. moved out of the messages folder to their respective icons. The only thing I can't figure out and haven't yet found in the forums, is how to move the missed calls from my message folder.I don't want to use the messages folder for anything. I've tried hiding it but it still shows the missed calls. Is there a way to make a missed calls folder, or add them to the sms/mms folder like my voicemail notices are?
why there is no way to create a shortcut to a folder or a file inside a folder in your memory card, it seems to me a very important function and yet no one complains but me.I have an office file which I use daily which is saved in E:My filesaccountshomeofficeworddaily.docIt would be great to add a shortcut to that file on the desktop. or at least to that folder.Or lets say I'm listening to an audiobook which is in: E:My filesAudioAudiobookspersonalBorn to runCD5chapter 4.mp3Every time I want to listen to this I have to dig deep in the file manager.
My battery came out, and when I turned my Blackberry Curve 8900 back on , my SMS folder was missing.I was able to find it by: 1. Clicking the blackberry button 2. Clicking messages 3. Clicking the BB button again and scrolling to "View Folder" There I have options like "browser messages" "facebook messages" "mms inbox" etc. There are two sections SMS inbox and SMS outbox. I can get to my text messages that way, but its really tedious. If I click on SMS inbox it takes me to what used to be my text screen. When I click the BB button again, there are no "move options"Anyone know how to get it back to being its own icon on the front screen?
